• CPUID on Intel i7 processors

  I'm having an issue with my CPUID-based code on newer i7-based machines. It is detecting the CPU as having a single core with 8 HT units instead of 4 cores each with 2 HT units. I must be misinterpreting the results of the CPUID information coming back from the CPU, but I can't see how.   In sdkddkver.h of the Windows Platform SDK, there are various OS versions defined as NTDDI_*. I could make a massive switch statement, but that's not really as future-proof as I'd like it to be. I would need to update the conversion method every time a new OS or service pack is released. I have a feeling this could be done with the help of some bitwise operators, but I'll be honest and say that those aren't my strong point. I appreciate any help!

  HI All, Has anybody been able to extract the device tokens from the binary data that iPhone APNS feedback service returns using PHP? • Has anyone compiled PCRE for Windows x64 - if so, how?

  I'm trying to compile PCRE (v8.02) for Windows x64, using Vs2008. The "NON-UNIX-USE" file tells me to use cmake to generate a .sln fle. That works. When I run the build it succeeds, with 91 warnings. All appear to be size conversion warnings. Am I doing something wrong? Should I expect all these warnings? Has anyone else built PCRE for Windows x64, successfully, and without warnings?

Basically I have defined Parameters!RP_cll_typ_l1 as multivalued into my subreport as per ssrs multivalued parameter passing method. The value is going on sub report as '1,2,3,4' (not understandable by data set) It should be like as '1’,’2’,’3’,’4' or 1,2,3,4 How can I resolve this please help if any have solution? • Convert byte array from Oracle RAW to System.Guid?

  My app interacts with both Oracle and SQL Server databases using a custom data access layer written in ADO.NET using DataReaders. Right now I'm having a problem with the conversion between GUIDs (which we use for primary keys) and the Oracle RAW datatype. Inserts into oracle are fine (I just use the ToByteArray() method on System.Guid). The problem is converting back to System.Guid when I load records from the database. Currently, I'm using the byte array I get from ADO.NET to pass into the constructor for System.Guid. This appears to be working, but the Guids that appear in the database do not correspond to the Guids I'm generating in this manner. I can't change the database schema or the query (since it's reused for SQL Server). I need code to convert the byte array from Oracle into the correct Guid.

  hi, I am in the conversion process of facebook app from fbml to iframe. Now i am testing using few iframe pages. $user = $facebook->require_login(); It gives the current user logged in. Once it get the variable from the facebook.com it saves in cookie by the PHP API provided by facebook). I logged out using another tab of facebook and i tryed using my app without refreshing the whole site (by just using the links inside my app). It still gives the $user variable. It indicates that user has logged in instead of user logged out. Please help me out. I want my app secured. It looks my iframe app accessible when we select "open this frame in new window". I need a solution for this too. Thanks in advance.

• C# Menu Toolstrip Get Status

  So I have a project where there is some automatic initialization going on through some classes that are created automatically as global variables (deah they are static instances). At a point inside this (it has no relation with the C# GUI for the user, so it isn't derived from any C# class) I need to see if a flag is set or not. I use toolstrip menu with checked and unchecked status in order to set or unset the flag. The problem is that I have difficulties to see if the flag is checked or not from this static class. My class is inside a different project/namespace and a DLL is created what later is linked to the GUI of the application. The GUI depends from this Manager class so making the Manager class to depend from the GUI is not an option. Nevertheless, I should be able to see its state knowing its name or through some other means. I have tried the following: if(Application.OpenForms[1].Owner.Controls["useLocalImageForInitToolStripMenuItem"].Enabled) { }; Now the problem is that on the upper code snippet I get a nasty error. So how do I do this?

  i've picked a query out of SQL Server Profiler that says it took 1,497 reads: EventClass: SQL:BatchCompleted TextData: SELECT Transactions.... CPU: 406 Reads: 1497 Writes: 0 Duration: 406 So i've taken this query into Query Analyzer, so i may try to reduce the number of reads. But when i turn on SET STATISTICS IO ON to see the IO activity for the query, i get nowhere close to one thousand reads: Table Scan Count Logical Reads =================== ========== ============= FintracTransactions 4 20 LCDs 2 4 LCTs 2 4 FintracTransacti... 0 0 Users 1 2 MALs 0 0 Patrons 0 0 Shifts 1 2 Cages 1 1 Windows 1 3 Logins 1 3 Sessions 1 6 Transactions 1 7 Which if i do my math right, there is a total of 51 reads; not 1,497.   I have a piece of code on 1 drupal site to create a node another drupal site in a multi-site setup. It looks like I'm getting the sessionid and logging in just fine, but when trying to create a "page" node, I get "Access denied". Under Services - Settings I have "Key Authentication", "Use keys" is unchecked, and "Use sessid" is checked. • ASP.Net RadioButton loses ViewState

  I'm having trouble with a simple radio set of two radio buttons (I don't want to use a RadioButtonList [RBL] because RBL doesn't allow child controls, and in my case, if you select one option, I want to enable a textbox next to the button; yes you could hack this with jQuery to move the textbox, but that's dirty!). I would check one, submit the form (either explicitly or through AutoPostBack), and the CheckedChanged event would never fire. When the page was reloaded, both buttons would be unchecked, regardless of their initial state on non-postback load or the state before form submission. I took out the checkbox and stripped this down to the simplest example I could come up with.   I've been trying to experiment with developing Android applications with Scala. I've gotten to the point where I can get the app to compile, but there are no helper functions for things like: button.setOnClickListener( () => { text.setText("test") }) (I'm talking about the closure there) I see lots of references to scala-android.jar, and have this file in my project, but I'm not sure what it does, or how to use it. I get the feeling it has these helper conversion functions, but I'm not sure. • How Do You Insert Large Blobs Into Oracle 10G Using System.Data.OracleClient?

  Trying to insert 315K Gif files into an Oracle 10g database. Everytime I get this error "ora-01460: unimplemented or unreasonable conversion requested" whe I run the stored procedure. It appears that there is a 32K limit if I use a stored procedure. I read online that this does not apply if you are doing a direct insert, but I do not know how to create the insert string for a Byte Array. This is a thick client running on the server so not worried about SQL Injection attacks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. FYI, code in vb.net. Thanks, Dave

• How can I tell if a user came to a page via a Google Adwords PPC campaign?

  I have a form with a hidden "Came from Adwords" field that will be marked true (via javascript) if the user came from a PPC campaign and will stay false if not. That way, when the user submits the form, we will have each submission stored with info about whether that submission came from adwords or not, all without the user knowing. How can I fetch this info? I know that Google sets a cookie called Conversion whenever you click a PPC link to a page, but the cookie's content is just random alphanumeric characters. Is there something in the Analytics/Adwords API that will let me test for this? Do I have to resort to adding ?ref=adwords or something onto the PPC URLs so that I can test that way?

  Greetings, I have a form with a variable number of inputs, a simplified version of which looks like this: <form> <label for="same">all the same as first?</label> <input id="same" name="same" type="checkbox" /> <input type="text" id="foo[1]" name="foo[1]" value="" /> <input type="text" id="foo[2]" name="foo[2]" value="" /> <input type="text" id="foo[3]" name="foo[3]" value="" /> <input type="text" id="foo[4]" name="foo[4]" value="" /> <input type="text" id="foo[5]" name="foo[5]" value="" /> </form> The idea is to tick the #same checkbox and have jQuery copy the value from #foo[1] into #foo[2], #foo[3], etc. They also need to clear if #same is unchecked. There can be any number of #foo inputs, based upon input from a previous stage of the form, and this bit is giving me trouble. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but I can't get any variation on $('#dest').val($('#source').val()); to work. Help!

  Sorry if this has been asked before, couldn't find anything specific. I'm looking for the most user-friendly issue tracker. Currently I'm using Trac. I'm looking for these 2 features: Very easy to create new ticket Email to ticket conversion (with attachements). The customers should be glad to use it (not avoid it like Trac). More often than not I get e-mails as bug reports and putting them into Trac wastes my time. I would really love to just hit forward and the ticket would appear in the issue tracker.

• Python bindings for C++ code using OpenCV giving segmentation fault

  I'm trying to write a python wrapper for some C++ code that make use of OpenCV but I'm having difficulties returning the result, which is a OpenCV C++ Mat object, to the python interpreter. I've looked at OpenCV's source and found the file cv2.cpp which has conversions functions to perform conversions to and fro between PyObject* and OpenCV's Mat. I made use of those conversions functions but got a segmentation fault when I tried to use them. I basically need some suggestions/sample code/online references on how to interface python and C++ code that make use of OpenCV, specifically with the ability to return OpenCV's C++ Mat to the python interpreter or perhaps suggestions on how/where to start investigating the cause of the segmentation fault. • Why is xslt converter ignoring the content of <link>-tag

  When I put forexample this in my xslt-stylesheet: <link><xsl:text>test</xsl:text></link> Or this: <link>test</link> I get the following result: <link xmlns=""></link> This however: <linkb>test</linkb> Render the following result: <linkb xmlns="">test</linkb> The rest of the xslt does not seem to make any difference, i've tried it in several different and empty xslt-stylesheets This problem appears in backend conversion (php) aswell as frontend-konversion in chrome browser (but not in Firefox) Example of error: dev.resihop.nu (right above the footer)

  Hello, everybody How do you usually convert business objects to presentation? For example: Business object Person { Id, FirstName, LastName, Patronymic ... } should be presented as "LastName F. P. " in html layout. We use Presentation classes hierarchy to represent data ready for output from Business model. Questions: Will you keep presentation model completely separated from Business Model. For example, can strong-typed views (MVC ASP.NET) aggregate formatted business data as well as raw business objects (that leads toward <%=Html.Encode(PersonHelper.ToShort(Model.Person))% html layout injections) What architecture layer do you choose for conversion (mvc controllers that formats business data from business layer, for instance). • Wrong item checked when filtering ListView in android

  I have a ListView with multiple choice entries where some are checked from the beginning using setItemChecked(position, true); I combine this with the filtering option setTextFilterEnabled(true) so it's easy to find a specific entry in the list. The problem is that when I filter the list the entries switch position in the list view. Take for example three entries: 'A', 'B' and 'C' where 'C' is checked beforehand (i.e. the entry at position 3 in the list). When I type a 'C' on the keyboard, only the 'C' entry is displayed (as intended). Now 'C' is not checked anymore, since the entry has moved from the checked position 3 to the unchecked position 1 in the list. This behavior leads to some not very welcome effects in the app. Is there a way to "move the selection with the filtering", i.e. bind the checked state to the entry and not to its initial position in the list? Or do I need to find a new approach? Thanks, Linus
