  Hi All, In javascript we use input type = file .. to open up a file browser pop-up .. is there a way to limit access to folders .. I want to select a folder then ftp all the files in the folder .. so i need access upto only the folder level and not file level .. i guess it would be tedious to go an manually select every file from the folder and then ftp .. is there a way to do that.. Also, how can i set the file-browser pop-up window path to a default one ?

For example, I type in "fOoTbAlL" and php will direct me to Fb01.html normally.

• Loading dictionary for input method suggestion list

  Hi, For various reasons, i'm trying to write my own input keyboard. So far all is going well except that of creating the suggestions. I've found the latinIME algorithm, which is all good. However i'm having major difficulty working out how to load the dictionary in the first place. I've had a good look round the net, and found various suggestions, but no definitive answers, and i cant seem to get any of them to work. If anyone has any suggestions on how best to do it, or even better some sample code, that would be brilliant. Many Thanks James

  Hi Why is focus not set to noteTitle? I am using google maps API V3. The getNoteForm() returns a input field "noteTitle". The $("#noteTitle").focus() works fine when executed in firebug.   Is it possible to change or remove http request form inputs in an httpmodule? My goal is to create a security IHttpmodule that will check the request for reasonable values, such as limits on acceptable input and query parameter length, or use the AntiXSS Sanitizer to remove threats, log potential hack attempts, etc. before a request is passed on to a processor. Because this is a cross cutting concern I'd prefer to find a solution that applies to all requests and affects all ways request values could be accessed, Reqest.Form, Action(model), Action(FormCollection), HttpContext.Current.Request.Form, etc. I'm using MVC and have considered creating custom model binders to clean the data before creating the model instance. But that would be application specific, require remembering to register every model binder and only apply to Action(model).

• Send Keyboard Input to VMWare from C#

  Hi. I want to send mouse clicks and keyboards keys to a window running a virtual machine such as VMware or VirtualBox. I want to pilotate it from the host OS, from an application written in C#. I can move and click the mouse. But I can't send keyboard input. I tried with SendKeys but it doesn't work. With every other "normal" window, it works. But I think it's related to how VMware or Virtual BOx intercept keyboard events. Any idea?

• Block all other input to an application and control it from a wrapper in Java

  I have a windows application which has a complex GUI that I would like to hide from users. In order to do this, I would like to create a wrapper with an extremely simple interface that overlays this application and automates a number of actions when a user clicks a single button on the wrapper. (I hope "wrapper" is the proper term.) Is it possible to use Java to block input to the underlying application so that users cannot inadvertently mess up the automation? How would I go about this? Also, how can I automate key presses and clicks to the application without hijacking the mouse? Is this possible in Java? I have looked at java.awt.Robot, but it appears to hijack the mouse. I have also looked at AutoIT, but it too hijacks the mouse and does not integrate with Java. Neither of these options seem powerful enough for what I need, but I do not know how else to proceed.

I have a form that has a textarea whose content is later transferred to a page that has a line like this (using DOM with php to change data on an XML file): $dom-getElementsByTagName("page")-item($itemNum)-getElementsByTagName("lang")-item(1)-getElementsByTagName("text")-item(0)-firstChild-data=$_POST['rus0']; The XML file in question looks like this: The strange thing happens when I upload it to the server and try to input Russian text, in which case it erases the CDATA completely and results in And, weirdly, the thing works fine on my own server emulator (I'm using MAMP with php 5, the remote server also has php 5) - in my machine inputing Russian works fine. Any ideas what's going on in this?

  I am writing a Tetris clone in WPF. If I hold down the right arrow key, the current piece shifts right. For playability, I want to allow the user to press another key (i.e. F-key) and rotate the moving piece without having to let go of the right arrow key first. Currently when I do this, the piece stops shifting. My first basic attempt at this was hooking into Window_PreviewKeyDown(object sender, KeyEventArgs e) and then sending a message to the controller layer.   Hi all, i am a complete nobbie to BHO and C++. This is what i want to achieve. Using various code samples, i have been successful in installing a BHO in my Internet Explorer. I am currently making use of the Invoke method to search for DISPID_HTMLDOCUMENTEVENTS2_ONCLICK and have been successful in capturing the event. How can i access a HTML input on the page is filled up with values? (eg. i navigate to www.gmail.com, key in some values into the username and password, and my BHO is activated upon the onclick event?) • keyboard in UIWebView shows and then hides itself on input focus

  I have a page that's loading into a UIWebView (which takes 100% of the screen) on an iPad. When I touch a text field, the page positions the text field to the right place and the keyboard starts to come up, but then it turns around and goes back down and blur is called on the input field. When I try this same page in mobile Safari, the keyboard is able to deploy successfully. I can't figure out what the rules are for the keyboard to show successfully and stay up = and why this is different for uiwebview than safari. All my research on the subject has yielded no answers.

It's to be used as a client-side validation and I don't want to prevent users from entering whatever they want. Best to give examples of what should/should not pass validation: So to be specific, the expression I'm looking for is to test to make sure string contains anywhere from 3 to 10 alphanumeric characters. I'd like to plug into an ASP.NET client side validator. NOTE: quotes not part of input (but could be!) I have currently got the JavaScript/HTML5 Geolocation picking up my current location and showing me it on a Google Map using Lat & Long values. I also want to add these Lat & Long Values into the 'address' text field on the page so I can submit the details. • Is there a way to localize input type="date" in HTML5

  I know that at the time of this writing only Opera supports a browser UI for <input type="date" name="mydate"> and maybe my attempts to localize this field have been met with frustration because niceties like localization have not yet been included in their implementation, but I don't even see mention of it in the HTML5 spec. Is there a way that localization should be specified? Should I do lang="fr" on a parent element? Some notes on the implementation of the site in question: Localization (language) is explicitly picked by the user because they are managing data in multiple languages and it is not reasonable to expect that the user's browser chrome is in the language being viewed or that the browser is providing desired language request headers. I want to be sure that if the page is rendered in French that the date picker provided by browser chrome shows options that make sense for French language. The plan is to fall back to jQueryUI for browsers that do not support type="date", I will use the detection mechanism provided in Dive into HTML 5

In a CKEditor dialog, text input fields are renamed with a unique number - e.g. id: 'txtUrl' will become something like id='27_textinput'.   Windows 7 allows you to select multiple files to open at once by using ctrl or shift key. The "File Name" input field at the bottom of the dialog box would auto populate with the following sample: "aaa.txt" "bbb.txt" "ccc.txt" "ddd.txt" I have 14,000 files in a folder and I only need a range of files (approx 500). When I use the shift key to select a range of files, the "File Name" field auto populates all 500 file names. Windows would cut me off at the 260th character when I try to paste in a pre-generated string into the "File Name" field. Is there a way to bypass the 260 character limit so it would accept my entire string with 500 file names?

In several situations however, I only need to check if values are numeric; I don't actually need or use the conversion. • android spectrum analysis of streaming input

  for a school project I am trying to make an android application that, once started, will perform a spectrum analysis of live audio received from the microphone or a bluetooth headset. I know I should be using FFT, and have been looking at moonblink's open source audio analyzer ( http://code.google.com/p/moonblink/wiki/Audalyzer ) but am not familiar with android development, and his code is turning out to be too difficult for me to work with. So I suppose my questions are, are there any easier java based, or open source android apps that do spectrum analysis I can reference? Or is there any helpful information that can be given, such as; steps that need be taken to get the microphone input, put it into an fft algorithm, then display a graph of frequency and pitch over time from its output? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
