  I am trying to find links in user entered text and convert them to link automatically. I am using current Regex as following, which good to find hyperlinks from text. Regex regexResolveUrl = new Regex("((http://|www\\.)([A-Z0-9.-:]{1,})\\.[0-9A-Z?;~&#=\\-_\\./]{2,})", RegexOptions.Compiled | RegexOptions.IgnoreCase); It is working good for almost all links so far i came across but it is giving problem when i want to detect links with hypen. i.e. www.abc-xyz.com will not work, with above regex, can anyone help me with this?

• Drupal - no self-linking

  So, I've added several pages to my Drupal install and linking to the pages using URL aliases via the Path module. So far so good - http://mydrupal/node/1 becomes http://mydrupal/about which is exactly what I'm looking for. Then I'm adding these links to the primary navigation and outputting the primary links via a custom theme (copy and paste the primary link code from the Chameleon theme). Here's the problem: when viewing http://mydrupal/about the page links to itself - that is the "About" link at http://mydrupal/about is still linking to http://mydrupal/about - the behavior I'm looking for is to have the "About" text display without a link. In summary: how do I prevent self-linking of pages when displaying the primary navigation?

• Xpath to get the 2nd url with the matching text in the href tag

  A html page has paging links, 1 set at the top of the page and another on the bottom of the page. Using HtmlUnit, I am currently getting the HtmlAnchor on the page using getByAnchorText("1"); There is a problem in some of the links on the top, so I want to reference the bottom links using XPath. nextPageAnchor = (HtmlAnchor) page.getByXPath(""); How can I reference the 2nd link on the page, with using xpath? I need to reference the link using the AnchorText, so a link like: <a href="....">33</a> The href has random text, and is a javascript function so I have no idea what it will be. Is this possible with xpath?

  A few web searches yield all sorts of contradictory advice on linking from an iPhone app to an app on the store. • Jad file download link for my website

  Hi sir/madam! I am putting up a small website via webs.com for me and my friends that could also be accessible via wap, i.e. mobile internet, and I want to add links to my site that downloads .jar files. I uploaded the files on my site, and links to the .jar files went fine, but I also need links for .jad files (for some mobile phones that require .jad files FIRST then .jar). I tried doing a regular link for the .jad files, but it simply displayed the content of the .jad file. It wasn't installed or downloaded. What should I do? Or am I at a wrong website? Thanks!

  Hi, A mortgage page on our website is accesible by multiple links on one page. In order to determine which of the links on that same page has been clicked on, I use event tracking. All events for these links are being stored under the category: "mortgage" When I look at the total number of pageviews for this mortgage page and the total number of events for the event category "mortgage", the number of pageviews is 10%-20% higher. • Force save files all browsers - not open in browser window

  I'm after a simple solution to work in all browsers. For specific file types, or targeted links via a class: how can I get them to simply force download in all major browsers. I was able to connect to my database and retrive all records and made 5 pages with links to view each pages using php script. webpage will look like this: name number john 1232343456 tony 9878768544 jack 3454562345 joe 1232343456 jane 2343454567 andy 2344560987 marcy 9873459876 sean 8374623534 mark 9898787675 nancy 8374650493 1 2 3 4 5 that's the first page of 58 records and those 5 numbers at bottom are links to each page that will display next 10 records. I got all that. but what I want to do is display the links in this way: 1-10 11-20 21-30 31-40 41-50 51-58 note: since i have 58 records, last link will display upto 58, instead of 60. Since I used the loop to create this link, depending on how many records i have, the link will change according to the number of records in my table. How can i do this? Thanks.

  There should be a standard for saving viewing bunches of webpages as a website. For instance, say I have a whole bunch of pages, such as I get from the WordPress plugin "Really Static" which saves an entire site, and I have all the links start with a slash. Now, I can't really use those links if I am reading it from the file system. If there would be a standard where we could zip up files, give them a unique extension (like "hzip" for html zip), and open the file with any browser, which would display it as though the root of that file were the root of the pages. "http://example.com" The links would all work right. This would facilitate sharing and copying groups of webpages.

  I want to setup a click event trigger in jQuery for certain anchor tags. I want to open certain links in a new tab while ignoring ones with a certain class (before you ask I cannot put classes on the links I am trying to catch as they come from a CMS). I want to exclude links with class "button" OR "generic_link" I have tried $(".content_box a[class!=button]").click(function (e) { e.preventDefault(); window.open($(this).attr('href')); }); But that doesn't seem to work, also how do I do an OR statement to include "generic_link" in the exclusion? • How to simulate a mouse click in Cocoa for the iPhone?

  I'm trying to setup automated unit tests for an iPhone application. I'm using a UIWebBrowser and need to simulate clicks on different links. I've tried doing this with JavaScript, but it doesn't produce the same results as when the I manually click on the links. The main problem is with links that have their target property set. I believe the only way for this automated unit test to work correctly is to simulate a mouse click at a specific x/y coordinate (i.e. where the link is located). Since the unit testing will only be used internally, private API calls are fine. It seems like this should be possible since the iPhone app isimulate seems to do something similar. Is there any way to do this in the framework?

Coding styles are often used for specific program languages and some styles in one coding language might not be considered appropriate for others.   I have a set of files with multiple links to them. The files are owned by TFS source control but other links to them are made to them. How do I delete the additional links without clearing the readonly bit. It's safe to assume: The files have more than one link to them You are not deleting the name owned by TFS There are no potential race conditions You have ACL full control for the files The machine will not lose power, nor will your program be killed unless it takes way too long. It's not safe to assume: The readonly bit is set (don't set it if its not) You can leave the readonly bit clear if you encounter an error and it was initially set Do not migrate to superuser -- if migrated there the answer is impossible because no standard tool can do this.

• firefox open local link to directory with explorer

  On a Website for our internal use i show links to local files and folders. the links are like this: href="file://C:/example/" href="file://C:/example/test.odt" The Problem is now that the link to the directory does open in firefox itself with a useless directory listing. Useless because you can just see the files or open them but not copy, insert, delete... The link to the file work normal and the file is opend by OpenOffice. By changing the configuration of firefox and setting the following key to false I can open the directory in with explorer.exe but for the file I have to choose the right application. network.protocol-handler.expose.file Does someone know a way to get both to work like i want? Means that the Directory is shown by explorer.exe and all files are opened by the right application. This can be by configuring Firefox or windows, changing the links, or even by writing a small program which opens all the file protocol correctly and will be used as protocol handler for the file protocol in firefox.   Hi, i am planning to upload a video tutorial on a particular software technology. The size of the videos will be around 600 MB's to say 1 GB. I am putting it for free for anyone to download. Is there any site/blog where i can put it.I am planning to divide the videos in parts and zip them. Does blogger or any other cms allow me to upload to there sites and put download links? Or is buying web space the only option? I am not keen on using youtube as i clearly want the user to download by clicking on links and not watch them online. • How to set up virtual hosts properly on a windows machine using Zend Community CE ?

  I have set up Zend Server CE on a windows machine and am having the hardest time setting up virtual hosts. No matter what I do, links on my local machine are showing "localhost" in the path causing all images and links to not work properly. • clear html webpage?

  i am currently developing a crawler that crawls all links on the web and displays them in the web browser (and saving it of course). but after some hours there will be a huge list displayed on the web browser and i want to only display lets say 1000 links at the same time. then i clear the html and display another 1000 links. this is also good for the RAM or it will eat up all memory. how do i clear the web browser screen? EDIT: i have seen some scripts using some flush buffer functions. has this anything to do with my case?

  I want to make a program that takes as user input a website address. The program then goes to that website, downloads it, and then parses the information inside. It outputs a new html file using the information from the website. Specifically, what this program will do is take certain links from the website, and put the links in the output html file, and it will discard everything else. Right now I just want to make it for websites that don't require a login, but later on I want to make it work for sites where you have to login, so it will have to be able to deal with cookies. I'll also want to later on have the program be able to explore certain links and download information from those other sites. What are the best programming languages or tools to do this?

• JQuery: which element was clicked?

  I have a list with links. These links are links to tables on the same page. What I want to do is whatever link I click in the list it will show its corresponding table and hide all the others. Without adding a different id/class to each link in the list and its corresponding table, is there a way to find out which element was clicked and show() its table? From what I understand JQuery returns an array object on its selector. How can I find out what element of the array was clicked? I've tried to use event.which but I'm a little lost.   Hi, I've just started to use Sharepoint 2007, MOSS is installed but for the extranet I'm working on the publishing isn't switched on. What I need to do is customise the global navigation so that it displays all top level & subsite links, custom links and format it nicely with css for the brand. Sounds easy but it isn't for some reason! I've been reading numerous blogs and things about it but can't seem to find anything other than writing lots of code (which I don't mind) to hook into the API or use a customer provider which sounds extreme for something so simple. I was wondering what are the options for this and any good links to articles appreciated so I can finally get this simeple task done. I see the MOSS navigation has extra options for global navigation but I presume as this isn't enabled I couldn't use the same code/control in the master page? Thanks Dan

• Add CSS Class to link based on Character Count with jquery

  I have links that load dynamically onto a background to make them look like buttons. Some of the links take up two lines and some of the links take up 1 line. Eithe way they need to be vertically centered. My plan to to append a class based on the number of characters and then adjust the padding from there. So if the link's text is 25 characters (including spaces) or less - append class 'small' if the link's text is greater than 25 characters - append class 'large' How would I go about doing this with jQuery?
