  • Possible to cancel paging in ListView using DataPager

    I'm using a datapager control on my listview to perform paging in it. When paging through the table, I need to perform some validations. When these validations are not successfull, the paging should be cancelled. I currently perform the validation in the PagePropertiesChanging event of the ListView, however, the arguments do not provide a Cancel property. protected void MyListView_PagePropertiesChanging(object sender, PagePropertiesChangingEventArgs e) { if (!Validate()) { // cancel the paging action} } Does anyone know if canceling the paging is possible and how to perform it?   • How to deal with Warning C4100 in Visual Studio 2008

    For some reason my Visual Studio 2008 began to show warnings for code like: "int main( int argc, char **argv)", which is really annoying. The detailed warning ouputs are (you can ignore the line numbers): 1.\main.cpp(86) : warning C4100: 'argv' : unreferenced formal parameter 1.\main.cpp(86) : warning C4100: 'argc' : unreferenced formal parameter I wonder if there are settings in Visual Studio 2008 that have been accidentally changed.     I am using the urllib2 module in Python 2.6.4, running in Windows XP, to access a URL. I am making a post request, that does not involve cookies or https or anything too complicated. The domain is redirected in my C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file. However, I would like the request from urllib2 to go to the "real" domain and ignore the entry in the hosts file. Is there any easy and practical way to do this?

Of course the AsDoc compiler complains that those classes are not defined anywhere. Does anyone know how to make it ignore these class types?

    I thought this will be trivial but I can't get this to work. Assume a line in a CSV file: "Barak Obama", 48, "President", "1600 Penn Ave, Washington DC" string[] tokens = line.split(',') I expect this: "Barak Obama" 48 "President" "1600 Penn Ave, Washington DC" but the last token is 'Washington DC' not "1600 Penn Ave, Washington DC". Is there an easy way to get the split function to ignore the comma within quotes?

I want to use mx.controls.Button class in it, so I did the following : Added '-locale=en_US -source-path=locale/{locale}' to the Actionscript compiler arguments Added 'framework.swc' to the library path But now I get this error: unable to open 'locale/en_US' I looked up and I do have the following directory inside my Flex Builder 3 installation: ./sdks/3.0.0/frameworks/locale/en_US How to fix it?

    Hello there I have developed an application in vb.net2008 and database sqlserver. Now i want to ignore the database(it has 1 table as customer(name,password,hour,minute)) as i dont want my client to install sqlserver separately or other overheads. I am planning to do the whole using file handling in vb.net(manipulating the data in files itself eg change username, password etc). I'm looking for a way to open all the files at once - in BeyondCompare for example this would open all the files in tabs within the same BC window. This would make it easier to review a complex set of changes; flick back and forwards between the diff files and ignore unimportant files.

    Hi, I am trying to use dijit.InlineEditBox. The widget creates many nested div/span elements, each has it's own style (element style in firebug): <span id="dijit__InlineEditor_0" class="dijitReset dijitInline" style="margin: 0px; position: absolute; visibility: hidden; display: block; opacity: 0;" ...> <input type="text" autocomplete="off" class="dijit dijitReset dijitLeft dijitTextBox" id="dijit_form_TextBox_0" style="line-height: 20px; font-weight: 400; font-family: Trebuchet MS,Helvetica,Arial,Verdana; font-size: 14.5167px; font-style: normal; width: 100%;"> ...> </span></span> (showing only the relevant parts...) to get the visual that I want, which will not break to a newline, I need to change the width of dijit_form_TextBox_0** to 50%, and the positioning of dijit__InlineEditor_0 to display: inline**; or to change the positioning of everything (most of my layout is floated, so position: absolute doesn't fit) I cannot address those span elements in my css to change the properties, because the element.style has priority, of course. I don't understand the logic in this system... why is dijit generating the style directly inside the element? how can I change these properties? Thanks Tom

(I have an array of about 10 URLS, usually only about 2 of them give me the descrption. I have yet to get the title).     Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to cast a generic type with a certain type parameter (e.g. Bar) to the same generic type with the type parameter being a base type of Bar (such as object in my case).     In nHibernate, if you do an HQL query with "join fetch" to eagerly load a child collection, nHibernate will ignore SetMaxResults and SetFirstResult and try to retrieve every single item from the database. Why? This behavior is specific to HQL, as ICriteria supports eager loading (with an outer join, though) and LIMIT.   • CustomValidator, pagemethods and JQuery what fun

    Hey all, I have a CustomValidator, RequiredFieldValidator and ValidationSummary controls on an aspx page to check the current password and make sure the new password is not blank. When I click submit I get the js alert() box from the summary control telling me about just the RequiredFieldValidator being false, but the client script for the CustomValidator does not seem to get its return value used. I have checked the "arguments.IsValid" value using FireBug, so it is getting called and returning the correct bool, but it never shows up in the val summary box? Thanks, Goosey
