    I'm getting the following errors from MSBuild while trying to build a solution: C:\dev\MySln.sln : warning MSB3422: Failed to retrieve VC project information through the VC project engine object model. Unable to determine default tool for the specified file configuration. C:\dev\MySln.sln : warning MSB3425: Could not resolve VC project reference "C:\dev\MyProj.vcproj". Have you got any ideas on what's causing this? I've seen other postings about similar, but different errors such as when the MSB3422 error has a different message and shows "Illegal characters in path.", but I haven't seen any useful information about how to solve the error I'm getting where it says "Unable to determine default tool for the specified file configuration.".     How can we read and write some string into a text file using VBScript? I mean I have a text file which is already present so when I use this code below:- Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject" ) Set file = fso.OpenTextFile("C:\New\maddy.txt",1,1) This opens the file only for reading but I am unable to write anything and when I use this code:- Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject" ) Set file = fso.OpenTextFile("C:\New\maddy.txt",2,1) I can just use this file for writing but unable to read anything. Is there anyway by which we can open the file for reading and writing by just calling the OpenTextFile method only once. I am really new to VBScript. I am only familiar with C concepts. Is there any link to really get me started with VBScript? I guess I need to have a good knowledge of the objects and properties concepts.

  • App starts in 1.5 emulator but doesn't in 1.6

    My app works on 1.5 emulator and 1.5 device. When i try to start it on 1.6 emulator, it produces strange exceptions (doesn't even start). I don't have any 1.6 device to try this app if it works on a real device. I get some warnings in Eclipse ( warning: Ignoring InnerClasses attribute for an anonymous inner class that doesn't come with an associated EnclosingMethod attribute. This class was probably produced by a broken compiler.) and get cant rid of them (i think they come from some apache jars that i need to make http multipart posts). Is it possible that this jars are cause for my exceptions in 1.6 or is it something else?     I am writing some Selenium tests and I need to be able to find an ancestor of a WebElement that I have already found.   • Strange TFS Source Repository Problem

    We have a web project we are working on using TFS and we are kind of new to it (TFS). One of my teammates is unable to see a particular page (three associated files) in the IDE. To the rest of us, it looks as though it is checked out to her. When she ran the unlock command through the console, it returned that the files for the page were not locked. Yet we are unable to check it out due to her apparently having a lock. Any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    We have a managed app, that uses an assembly. That assembly uses some unmanaged C++ code. The Managed C++ code is in a dll, that depends on several other dlls. All of those Dlls are loaded by this code. As near as I can understand it, as soon as we attempt to use an ImageDoc object, the dll that contains that assembly is loaded and as part of that load, the static constructor is called which in turn causes several other DLLs to be loaded as well. What I'm trying to figure out, is how do we defer loading of those DLLs so that we don't run smack dab into this loader lock that is being kicked out because of the static constructor. I would prefer to not have to put this kind of knowledge of the dlls into every app that uses this assembly. (And I'm not sure that would even fix the problem.... The strange thing is that the exception only appears to be happening while running within the debugger, not while running outside the debugger.

    I have 2 databases with a 2 tables with HierachyID fields. For one database I can get a dal cs file, for the other database I cannot get a dal cs file ? HBus is a database I can get the dal cs for, ...     I've been using OpenGL ES 1.1 on the iPhone for 10 months, and in that time there is one seemingly simple task I have been unable to do: programmatically fade a textured object. To keep it simple: how can I alpha fade, under code control, a simple 2D triangle that has a texture (with alpha) applied to it. I would like to fade it in/out while it is over a scene, not a simple colored background. So far the only technique I have to do this is to create a texture with multiple pre-faded copies of the texture on it. (Yuck) As an example, I am unable to do this using Apple's GLSprite sample code as a starting point. It already textures a quad with a texture that has its own alpha. I would like to fade that object in and out.

  • Extracting data from multiple servers SQL 2005 SSIS

    I have created an SSIS package to connect to multiple SQL servers, create a database, a table and a stored procedure. The package also creates a job and schedules it to run every 5 minutes. The requirement is to collect performance metrics. I am using an ado object variable to get the server names and all the above tasks are in a for each loop and everything works fine. Now the problem: I need to create a data flow task, which will connect to each of these servers in turn, copy the performance metrics data over to a central server and purge the source table. I am unable to get this task to work. This task fails with "Unable to obtain Connection" error. Any help will be greatly appreciated. SQL Server Version : 2005 Thanks, Raj

  • Installing unsigned x64 driver to work with libusbdotnet

    Hi all- I am currently in a Windows 7 dev. environment working to get a device to initialize with libusbdotnet. The device (a USB mass storage device) connects and runs using the default USB-MASS Storage driver for Windows. I want to replace this driver with the one created by the .INF Wizard in libusbdotnet. The operating system is a 64-bit, and by default the INF Wizard produces this driver, but I am unable to selected it because it is "unsigned" I believed, when I go to "Pick from a list of drivers" and point to the directory where the newly created device drivers are. I have enabled "TEST MODE" using DESO but I'm still unable to select this file. Anyone familiar with libusbdotnet, or directing devices to work with a specific driver that is unsigned in Window (do I need the .inf file? or the .sys???) do you have any advice about where I'm going wrong? Thanks!

  • Add reference to .dll asp.net

    Hi, I have a simple question about adding references to a .NET project. I'm adding reCAPTCHA to a website and i have downloaded the dll. After setting the reference to the dll i build and run the project and gets this error: [ReflectionTypeLoadException: Unable to load one or more of the requested types.   • PHP will not delete from MySQL

    For some reason, JavaScript/PHP wont delete my data from MySQL! Here is the rundown of the problem. I have an array that displays all my MySQL entries in a nice format, with a button to delete the entry for each one individually.   • UnitTest++ creates cmd windows, which can't be closed

    Hello, I have a setup for using UnitTest++ like this in VS2008. Sometimes the cmd window, which shows the console output of the unit tests just hangs. I can move the window, resize and stuff, but I'm unable to close it. I see the window in the App tab of the Task Manager, but not in the Process tab, "Switch to process" doesn't work either. Stop debugging or closing VS is also no help, it seems VS has lost control over this window. If this cmd window is lost, I'm unable to shutdown my computer, which is pretty annoying Any hints?

  • Search and Highlight search text in items in the Listview in WPF

    Hi, I am using MVVM to show the database records in a gridview (ListView view). i have a textbox where we can enter the text to be searched in the results listed in the gridview. i tried many ways to highlight the search text (Not the entire row only the text matches in the record) in the records displayed in the list view but unable to highlight. i am able to find the starting and ending indexes. i tried to created rectangles using those indexes on the text block but unable to highlight. Can anyone have solution for this. Thanks in advance.

  • Blank space after file extension -> weird FileInfo behaviour

    Somehow a file has appeared in one of my directories, and it has space at the end of its extension - its name is "test.txt ". The weird thing is that Directory.GetFiles() returns me the path of this file, but I'm unable to retrieve file information with FileInfo class. The error manifests here: DirectoryInfo di = new DirectoryInfo("c:\\somedir"); FileInfo fi = di.GetFileSystemInfos("test*")[0] as FileInfo; //correctly fi.FullName is "c:\somedir\test.txt " //but fi.Exists==false (!) Is FileInfo class broken? Can I somehow retrieve information about this file? I really don't know how did that file appear on my file system, and I am unable to recreate some more of them. All of my attempts to create a new file with this type of extension have failed, but now my program is crashing when encoutering it. I can easily handle the exception when finding the file, but boy am I curious about this!

    Hi, I've been trying to make this code work for the last 3 hours. I've tried about everytinh, but I'm still unable to get it to work. I only managed to send 1 data. When I use this code, I only manage to retrieve recaptcha_challenge_field. If I remove recaptcha_challenge_field, I retrieve recaptcha_response_field.     I've been bashing my head against this one for a few days, and haven't had any luck with it. I'm unable to get my VS2010 ASP.NET project to deploy to IIS. I receive the error "Unable to create the virtual directory. To access local IIS Web sites, you must install the following IIS Components IIS 6 Metabase and IIS 6 Configuration Compatibility ASP.NET In addition, you must run Visual Studio in the context of an Administrator Account" I've most certainly installed the metabase option, but it still shows up. I'm also not sure why it's telling me to install ASP.NET. Google is being entirely unhelpful, I was wondering if anyone here has any suggestions. I'm running Vista Ultimate 64Bit

    I'm trying to burn DVD/CD through frontend C# code... i have used IMAPI2 for buring CD/DVD in windows XP..but it is giving me unhandled exception... as:- System.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast COM object of type 'IMAPI2.Interop.MsftFileSystemImageClass' to interface type 'IMAPI2.Interop.MsftFileSystemImage'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{7CFF842C-7E97-4807-8304-910DD8F7C051}' failed due to the following error: No such interface supported (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E_NOINTERFACE)) can anyone please help me out to solve this problem. I'm not able to solve this error. this project is working fine in Windows7 but unable to work with XP.
