I'm having some strange issues with .removeClass() and .addClass() in jQuery.
Specifically it seems that when I use .removeClass() the class is indeed removed, but a single space is left in it's place. then when I .addClass("secondclass") I get class=" secondclass" (with the space in front).
I'm using jQuery 1.4.1
Is this intended behaviour or a bug? How to stop it?
I want to add a few drawing functions to an iPhone project for drawing things. Something like drawTile(x,y,len,wid); which would call openGL to draw a box somewhere. I should just be able to write a procedural C file to do this but the openGL libraries are objective C and I'm getting weird errors. Do I have to make a class for all of my drawing commands and call class methods?
I have a multi-dimensional array that looks like this:
The base array is indexed based on category ids from my catalog.
$categories[category_id]
Each base array has two underlying elements:
['parent_category_id']
['sort_order']
I want to create a function that allows us to create a list of categories for a given parent_category_id in the correct sort order. Is this possible? Technically it is the same information, but the array is constructed in a weird way to extract that information.
Hi,
I am trying to create a number of polylines in Javascript. For some reason, bing maps automatically/randomly adds pushpins in the middle of some of these polylines.
Does anyone know why this is the default behaviour and how I can override it?
Thanks!
Weird question: I have an iPod Touch and plan to get an iPhone once the next generation comes out.
Now, my main machine is a Windows PC which is where the iPod is connected to. As I need a Mac to do development, I wonder if it is possible to connect the iPod to the Mac for Xcode/Development but keep it synced to Windows for Syncing?
Not sure if this belongs here or on SuperUser though.
Hi all,
I need to make a variable with similar behaviour like in C lanquage.
I need byte or unsigned char with range 0-255.
This variable should overflow, that means...
myVar = 255
myVar += 1
print myVar #!!myVar = 0!!
In other words, is the following "cursoring" approach guaranteed to work:
retrieve rows from DB
save the largest ID from the returned records for later, e.g. in LastMax
later, "SELECT * FROM MyTable WHERE Id > {0}", LastMax
In order for that to work, I have to be sure that every row I didn't get in step 1 has an Id greater than LastMax. Is this guaranteed, or can I run into weird race conditions?
Hello everybody,
JQuery accordion animation (as well as simple hides / shows) looks weird with some browsers (IE, Opera). But Fire Fox and Chrome renders animation perfectly without artifacts.
Html layout tends to shake with IE / Opera during animation as if surrounding paddings / margins are changed for small random value.
How can I minimize this effect.
Is it jquery bug or browsers issue?
Weird question but here it is. What are the programming concepts that were "automated" by modern languages? What I mean are the concepts you had to manually do before. Here is an example: I have just read that in C, you manually do garbage collection; with "modern" languages however, the language itself takes care of it. Do you know of any other, or there aren't any more?
when i read through source files of opensource projects i often come across some weird phrases in the comments
/*
@brief ......
@usage.....
@remarks....
@par....
*/
questions
1.What are they?(were not mentioned when i was learning c++)
2.Do they have any documentation(where)
Hi, im just writing my own replace method for any weird characters and i used the ASCI value 0, null to replace unwanted characters, i was hoping for them to be 'deleted', but this doesnt work. A gap just appears in the string.
What exactly does String.Replace() do when removing a character for ""? Does it shift them all down and then 'delete' the final character or something?
Quicksearch is really cool... but it has a usability issue that makes it behave weird. A lot of users presses enter after inserting a string so the page is reloaded with no parameters and the queries are destroyed.
look at that:
http://www.parksmania.it/parco_list.php?rid=1
Adding
$('form#filtroRapido').submit(function () { return false; });
doesn't work!
Has someone already solved this?
I'm iterating over a ManageObjectCollection.( which is part of WMI interface).
However the important thing is, the following line of code. :
foreach (ManagementObject result in results)
{
//code here
}
The point is that ManageObject also implements IDisposable, so I would like to put "result" variable in a using block. Any idea on how to do this, without getting too weird or complex?
Today I had something weird happen in my copy of Resharper 5. I have a class that looks like this:
public class Foo
{
public string Username { get; private set; }
public Foo (string userName) { Username = userName; }
public void Bar()
{
DoWork(Username);
}
public DoWork(string userName) { }
}
When I start to type DoWork(us I get the following from intellisense:
Notice that it's pulling up the constructor argument, and it ends with a colon: userName:
What's going on here?
string a = "a";
string b = a;
string a = "c"
Why does string b still have the value "a" and not "c"?
As string is an object and not a stack value type, what's with this behaviour?
Thanks
I have a lot of #define's in my code. Now a weird problem has crept up.
I have this:
#define _ImmSign 010100
(I'm trying to simulate a binary number)
Obviously, I expect the number to become 10100. But when I use the number it has changed into 4160.
What is happening here? And how do I stop it?
I have a large data.frame displaying some weird properties when plotted. I'd like to ask a question about it on Stackoverflow, to do that I'd like to write the data.frame out in a form that I can paste it into SO and somebody else can easily run it and have it back into a data.frame object again. Is there an easy way to accomplish this? Also, if it is really long, should I use paste bin instead of directly paste it here?
Can someone explain this behaviour?
test.c:
#include <stdio.h>
int main(void)
{
printf("%d, %d\n", (int) (300.6000/0.05000), (int) (300.65000/0.05000));
printf("%f, %f\n", (300.6000/0.05000), (300.65000/0.05000));
return 0;
}
$ gcc test.c
$ ./a.out
6012, 6012
6012.000000, 6013.000000
I checked the assembly code and it puts both the arguments of the first printf as 6012, so it seems to be a compile time bug.
I am using VS 2010 and SL 4.And I came up with strange behaviour of the listbox that it don't have keyboard navigation(the one which is present in wpf :( ).So is there a way or any idea or suggestion how can i do it.. I know the long way thats shown up here ,
link text
But anything simpler then this or shortes then this will be nice.. :)
Pressing up/down keys will navigate through items present in the silverlight listbox
Constant height so just left/right images should be necessary instead of having 4+, right? I'd still want top-to-bottom color gradient (and different one on hover).
If possible, I'd prefer if it was still an <input type='submit'> and not anything weird.
Is there any way (website / imagemagick script etc.) to generate these images automatically or do I need to draw them in some graphics program?
I have been trying to change the cursor style to look like a pointer rather than an I beam thing, but it looks like FF does not respect the cursor spec in an input file field. For example, I have made this small fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/jDZtn/4/ where Id like the cursor to look like a pointer rather than an Ibeam when the user hovers over it. My end plan is to introduce opacity==0 and use a clickable button over it.
I am not sure if this behaviour is a bug or not.
Hi,
I found that a lot of Java programs in Windows use .bat batch file as program launcher. It looks weird if compared with other programs which use .exe executable file.
Why can't those Java programs use .exe file? Is that a limitation of Java program?
Thanks.
I'm not sure what I did to cause this, but adding a new file or package in IntelliJ now doesn't add them to subversion, and I have to add them manually via right-click - subverion - add.
Is there a setting that controls this behaviour?
I am using Lucene with Java. In the index I have a single document with a single name:value-field
text:alabama oklahoma
When I search for
+alabama -oklahoma
it returns no results, as expected.
However, when I search for
-alabama +oklahoma
it returns the single document as a match to the query.
Has anyone else noticed this behaviour? Any ideas on why this happens?
