Since I have downloaded MicroSoft SQL Server from Bizspark website, I know I don't need a license for SQL Server. • ffmpeg-php permission denied on localhost

  Hello, I am very new to php. I recently setup php on my mac and I am trying to setup ffmpeg-php to convert various videos to flv or other formats as desired. I used this tutorial FFmpeg Mac Installation and I got ffmpeg to work using the terminal, however, when I try to encode a movie using php I get an error. In my apache error_log file it says permission denied next to the flv file (shown below).   Hello, I have downloaded ffmpeg libraries for iPhone and compiled them. My objective is to create a movie file from a series of images using ffmpeg libraries.The amount of documentation for ffmpeg on iphone is very less. I checked an app called iFrameExtractor, which does the opposite of what i want, it extracts frames from a video. On the command line there is a command called ffmpeg -f image2 -i image%d.jpg video.mov This turns a series of images into a video. I actually checked it on my mac and it works fine. What i wanted to know was how do we get the equivalent in iPhone. Or rather which class/api or method to call. There are a couple of examples of apps doing this on iPhone.   Hi all My Delphi app has created a squence called frame_001.png to frame_100.png. I need that to be compiled into a movie clip. I think perhaps the easiest is to call ffmpeg from the command line, according to their documentation: For creating a video from many images: ffmpeg -f image2 -i foo-%03d.jpeg -r 12 -s WxH foo.avi The syntax foo-%03d.jpeg specifies to use a decimal number composed of three digits padded with zeroes to express the sequence number. It is the same syntax supported by the C printf function, but only formats accepting a normal integer are suitable. • Domain transfer and New Hosting Management

  I wanted to migrate from my older registrar to GoDaddy. Main reason because current registrar/hosting provider doesn't support .NET. My old registrar gave me control over the domain and hosting account. So, basically I have everything I would need. ( I know theory only ) I applied for Transfer of domain, bought a hosting package from GoDaddy and uploaded new web site. So, I am waiting for domain transfer and it tells me that I have to wait for 5-7 days for approval. Okay. But today, my old registrar told/taunted me that I really didn't need to apply for transfer. What could possibly I have done differently? My domain expires on this 15th. Now I don't know much about how all of this really works, but I am guessing he meant, "you should have waited for 15 days and let it expire after which you should buy the domain as it is expired". Is it really so(I doubt) or there are some other ways I could have got same result but without transferring domain? (like, changing DNS entries) I have read like all of the documentation available on namecheap/GoDaddy/Whois about domain transfers. But maybe because I am new to this it is all confusing to me. I would also like to know what to do with DNS settings after transfer succeeds. I want to kill the old website. So, what nameserver settings I need to change, new one or old one or both? I have old host+old domain registrar + old working site on one hand, on the other hand, new site + pending domain transfer + new DNS settings.

• Redirecting 2 or more domains to same hosting server

  I have domains A.com, A.co.in and A.in Purchased from site X. I have a hosting space/account purchased from site Y, which has provided me with 2 DNS entries that is to be replaced in the account at the site from where I purchase the domains. I have successfully changed the DNS entries of A.com to these 2 DNS entries and I am able to see my index.html page when I hit A.com. Problem On similar lines, I have changed the DNS entries to the same entries for A.co.in and A.in, but on hitting those sites in browser gives me no response and browser specific page of 'Site not found' is been seen. Please let me know, how to set this, so that when I hit any of the domain, the web-site is rendered from the hosting server? What am I doing wrong here? Note It has been more than 3 days after changing the DNS entries, so I don't think so this is a problem of DNS propagation, which I heard from some people. Please provide some detail explanation, as I am very very new to this. This is my first hosting ;) -Thanks

• Web hosting company basically forces me to use their domain name [closed]

  I've recently stumbled upon an unusual problem with one of hosting companies called giga-international.com. Anyway, I've ordered com.hr domain from Croatian domain name registration company, and my client insisted on using this host provider as couple of his friends already are hosted with them. I thought something was fishy when the first result on Google for Giga International was this little forum rant instead of their webpage. When I was checking their services they listed many features etc... space available, bandwidth etc. I just wanted to check how much ram do I get for my PHP scripts so I emailed them, and they told me that was company secret. Seriously? Anyway, since my client still insisted on hosting with them I've bought their Webspace package. During registration I had to choose free domain name because I couldn't advance registration without it. Nowhere was said, not even in general terms and conditions that I wouldn't be able to change that domain name. At least not for double the price of domain name per year. They said I can either move my domain name over to them (and pay them domain registration), or pay them 1 Euro per month for managing a DNS entry. On any previous hosting solution I was able to manage my domain names just by pointing my domain to their name servers, and this is something completely new and absurd for me. They also said that usual approach is not possible because of security and hardware limitations. I'd like to know what you guys think about this case, and should I report, and where should I report this case. In short. They forced me to register free domain name which doesn't suit my needs in order to register for their webspace package, and refuse to change domain name for my account until I either transfer domain to them or pay them DNS management which costs double the price of the domain name per year.

It is, according to Synaptic, version: 4:0.8.1-1really0u1 For some reason, I feel like this is not the version that would come in the repositories and I feel like another PPA that I may have used installed a wrong version. I believe it was the VLC PPA for nightly builds. Can anyone who does not have this PPA on their system tell me what version of FFMPEG they are running?

When I use ffmpeg to convert an audiofile with the option -acodec libfaac -ab 192k and use ffmpeg -i on that file afterwards to get the audio file information, it tells me bitrate: 152 kb/s Why ist this? Do I miss something here? If I want to convert a file with a bitrate of 192kb it should give me 192 kbit after the conversion, shouldn't it? Or: How do I get the 192 kbit rate then?

• ffmpeg XDCAM HD vtag profiles

  Hey guys sorry for disturbing you again, but these days I have a lot of work to do with ffmpeg. I found on http://code.google.com/p/ffmbc/wiki/XDCAMHD422Encoding vtag settings for XDCAM HD 422 and used them in my script, everything works fine for HD 422, now I am desperately searching for normal HD vtags and have found only one so far was xd3v for Apple XDCAM HD 1080i50 (35 Mb/s VBR) which I don't need because its interlaced. What I need are the vtags for 1080p24, 1080p25 and 1080p30. Here is the script I have found and adapted a bit: ffmpeg -threads "4" -i "$2" -pix_fmt yuv420p -vtag xdv3 -vcodec mpeg2video -r 25 -flags +ildct+ilme -top 1 -dc 10 -intra_vlc 1 -non_linear_quant 1 -qmin 1 -qmax 3 -lmin '1*QP2LAMBDA' -rc_max_vbv_use 1 -rc_min_vbv_use 1 -b 35000k -minrate 35000k -maxrate 35000k -bufsize 36408333 -bf 2 -aspect 16:9 -acodec pcm_s16be -vf scale=${FC_PARAM_width}:${FC_PARAM_height} "$3" If there are any other mistakes in the script, please correct me :)

  Good day to all... I have some "little" problems with ffserver and ffmpeg... What I need to do is to broadcast a live video. So I got the cam... used vlc and used send stream option. I sent it to 192.168.1.9:64555, which is a virtual machine on the same computer, running centos. On the virtual machine I run the command ffmpeg -i 192.168.1.9:64555 output.mpg.   I've been trying to get this to work and I'm really close, but something still isn't right. I have a 14 second clip I'm trying to cut out of a longer mp4 video. I got the video to cut to the right place with this command: ffmpeg -ss 00:05:13.0 -i ~/videos/trim_me.mp4 -vcodec h264 -acodec copy -t 00:00:14.0 ~/videos/trimmed.mp4 If I didn't specify -vcodec it was starting from an "I-Frame" (I guess) and wasn't the right place. The audio is starting from that spot as well, so I tried setting -acodec the same way: ffmpeg -ss 00:05:13.0 -i ~/videos/trim_me.mp4 -vcodec h264 -acodec aac -ac 2 -ab 225k -ar 48000 -strict -2 -t 00:00:14.0 ~/videos/trimmed.mp4 Which doesn't really help much. Setting -async 1 makes it take longer, and then the audio does match up, but not until 4 seconds into the video. :/ I'd ideally not like to install anything else and have a commandline solution for this.

• Resize videos with different widths to a fixed height preserving aspect ratio with ffmpeg

  I'd like to convert a lot of video files to flash video for our company's website. I have a requirement that all of the videos must be in 360p format, so their size would be Nx360. FFMpeg uses -s argument to specify target resolution as WxH. I don't know Width, as it depends on source file aspect ratio. If source is 640x480, target will be 480x360. If source is 848x480, target will be 636x360. Is there a way to do it with some switch of ffmpeg? That it will preserve aspect ratio and I'll only specify the height of target video? I could easily solve it by making a program that will launch ffprobe to get source video size, calculate aspect ratio and then calculate a new width.

• Video Thumbnails using ffmpeg

  I'm looking for a nice short easy way to create a series of thumbnails for any given video file. I'm almost there using ffmpeg, here's what I have: ffmpeg -i /tmp/video.avi -r 1 -ss 60 -r 1 foo-%03d.jpeg` The only problem is that this takes a shot every second and I'd like to make it every minute or so. I tried setting the -r value to 1/60 or .02 to no avail. For reference, here's the old script I was using that only worked for some files: #!/bin/bash # grab a screenshot every 60 seconds file=$1 orig_dir=`pwd` mins=`exiftool "$file" | grep "Duration" | awk -F : '{print $2}' | grep --only-matching '[0-9]*'` dir="$file-screenshots" mkdir "$dir" cd "$dir" mplayer -vo png -vf screenshot -sstep 60 -frames $mins -ao null "../$file" cd "$orig_dir" This doesn't have to be on the command line, it's just that it always ends up being easiest.

How do I do that ?

  Now that I"m down to the last part to install the FFMPEG it tells me to do the following cd /usr/local/src/ffmpeg/ ./configure --enable-libmp3lame --enable-libogg --enable-libamr-nb --enable-libamr-wb --enable-libvorbis --disable-mmx --enable-shared make make install ln -s /usr/local/lib/libavformat.so.50 /usr/lib/libavformat.so.50 ln -s /usr/local/lib/libavcodec.so.51 /usr/lib/libavcodec.so.51 ln -s /usr/local/lib/libavutil.so.49 /usr/lib/libavutil.so.49 ln -s /usr/local/lib/libmp3lame.so.0 /usr/lib/libmp3lame.so.0 ln -s /usr/local/lib/libavformat.so.51 /usr/lib/libavformat.so.51 When i get to the part ./configure --enable-libmp3lame --enable-libogg --enable-libamr-nb --enable-libamr-wb --enable-libvorbis --disable-mmx --enable-shared I get the error Unknown option "--enable-libogg". See ./configure --help for available options. I've tried removing the --enable-libogg but does not seem to help.
