    Hi i need some help to install the drivers from my pc, on Ubuntu 10.10 i just installed it, and i a newbie on Ubuntu, but i understand a bit of Windows...but i want to try ubuntu and then Maybe change to UBUNTU!!!     I've two interfaces: eth0 and wlan0 on a notebook. Possible use cases: eth0 grants me Internet access, and wlan0 is currently connected to a router which does not have Internet-connectivity. For development purposes, I need to connect to the wlan0 by default, but use eth0 for surfing eth0 and wlan0 are both connected to the Internet. For a torrent application, eth0 should be used for speed, but for portability of the notebook, SSH should have a connection over wlan0 eth0 is a wire connection, wlan0 is a wireless one. Sensible data should be transferred over eth0, but other traffic can go over wlan0 as well. Is there a way to force applications (like nc.traditional or firefox) to use a certain network interface? A wrapper like example-wrapper eth0 program is fine too if such program exist. It would be nice if it could configured within Firefox (in runtime). I'd like to avoid IPTables solutions if possible.

  • Why is my LAN not working properly ?

    I am using Ubuntu 12.04 as my OS. Till yesterday, my LAN was working fine , but after that my LAN is not working properly. What I mean is that it shows that the LAN wire is connected properly, but when I try to open a website it gets stuck on resolving host. I am using the web browser as Google-chrome. Now, when I manually switch off the wired connection and turn it on again, the LAN works perfectly till I open one or two webpages. After that the same problem repeats again. Can anybody, help me with a solution to this problem.

  • Wireless not functional

    I am a complete newcomer to Ubuntu. Today I installed Ubuntu 12.04 onto an 3 or 4 year old laptop - an HP DV2221. Install went fine, except that I can't get the wireless card to operate. I see that there are drivers installed (Broadcom STA wireless) and it says they are activated, but the wireless light on the body of the computer is lit as orange, when it should be blue, and if I disconnect the Ethernet wire, there is no ability to get onto Firefox. I've looked at some of the similar questions on this site, as well as Googling the issue - mostly, I guess I don't understand how to navigate or do some of the fixes recommended - I'm fairly adept technologically around Windows, but know zilch about Linux and how to perform some of the fixes - so, if possible, please tell me how I get to the menus needed to rectify the situation.

What i see is already there MPI/ Bit torrent/Jabber protocols / APIs / servers for messaging LAN / wire and other infrastractural cabels for connecting Boost and analogs on evry OS in most languages for multithreading there are lots of CUDA like on computer frameworks for fast calculating on computers GPUs What I personally do not see out there is a crossplatform framework for multiple processes interaction. Meaning one that would allow easy creation of multyple processes running in paralell inside one hoster app on one machine. In level not harder than needed for threads creation (so no seprate server apps - just one lib doing it all) Is there ny such lib and what can you propose for research topic?

    I am using AddHandler to wire a function to a control's event that I dynamically create: Public Sub BuildControl(EventHandler as System.Delegate) dim objMyButton as new button AddHandler objMyButton.Click, EventHandler end Sub This code is generating a run-time exception stating: Unable to cast object of type 'MyEventHandlerDelegate' to type 'System.EventHandler' What am I not understanding about System.Delegate even though AddHandler takes as an argument of type "System.Delegate"? What Type does "EventHandler need to be to cast to a type that AddHandler can accept? Thanks for your help!

    Hello What are sources of latency in process of sending/receiving tcp/udp packets in linux 2.6 ? I want to know a latency sources in "ping-pong" latency tests. There are some rather good papers of ethernet latency, but they cover only latency sources in the wire and switch (and rather cursory, only for specific switch). What steps of processing does follow a packet? Papers with deep latency analysis of usual ping (icmp) will be useful too. I rely on community :)

    It seems that CompilationMode=Never doesn't permit Sessions to be properly wired. It first complains that the EnbaleSessionState directive is not allowed on this page. Explicitly assigning the System.Web.SessionState.IRequiresSessionState to the Page [1] avoids the null reference exceptions (around .Session access) but still doesn't persist or wire-up sessions correctly. Has anyone successfully used ASP.NET Sessions with CompilationMode=Never? Conceptually, why should these be disjoint??     OS: Windows XP/Vista Qt version: 4.6.1 Using OpenSSL I need to watch the actual requests and responses that is going through the wire for QHttp requests and responses and in some cases need to interrupt the request. I tried with few of the http debuggers available in the market but they seem to work only for requests that are using the WinInet functions. Unfortunately, the openssldump utility is not present on windows platforms. Thank you.

    Hello, I added a table view into a view in interface builder and now I need to wire it up to some pre-made classes that you can generate in xcode. I set the tableview controller's class to the class in xcode and wired the dataSource and delegate to my table view but the app just crashes.   • WCF hosting in .NET compact framework

    I would like to host a service on a WinCE device. The WinCE device is the host which can be accessed(control and data acquisition) by multiple clients (PC or WinCE) over serial port, TCP, USB etc. I was considering using Protocol Buffers for serialization on the wire. It would be ideal to use WCF or remoting but as far as I see they are not implement on the Compact Framework. Anyone have any ideas how this can be achieved.

The Silverlight client and the WCF web service are using the same class library for their data entities that they are passing back and forth over the wire. I just added a new entity, and it's not being correctly deserialized on the Silverlight client. My question is, how can I debug the System.ServiceModel.ClientBase as it is deserializing an entity that it received from a WCF web service?
