  • What is causing my HTTP server to fail with "exit status -1073741819"?

    - by Keeblebrox
    As an exercise I created a small HTTP server that generates random game mechanics, similar to this one. I wrote it on a Windows 7 (32-bit) system and it works flawlessly. However, when I run it on my home machine, Windows 7 (64-bit), it always fails with the same message: exit status -1073741819. I haven't managed to find anything on the web which references that status code, so I don't know how important it is. Here's code for the server, with redundancy abridged: package main import ( "fmt" "math/rand" "time" "net/http" "html/template" ) // Info about a game mechanic type MechanicInfo struct { Name, Desc string } // Print a mechanic as a string func (m MechanicInfo) String() string { return fmt.Sprintf("%s: %s", m.Name, m.Desc) } // A possible game mechanic var ( UnkillableObjects = &MechanicInfo{"Avoiding Unkillable Objects", "There are objects that the player cannot touch. These are different from normal enemies because they cannot be destroyed or moved."} //... Race = &MechanicInfo{"Race", "The player must reach a place before the opponent does. Like \"Timed\" except the enemy as a \"timer\" can be slowed down by the player's actions, or there may be multiple enemies being raced against."} ) // Slice containing all game mechanics var GameMechanics []*MechanicInfo // Pseudorandom number generator var prng *rand.Rand // Get a random mechanic func RandMechanic() *MechanicInfo { i := prng.Intn(len(GameMechanics)) return GameMechanics[i] } // Initialize the package func init() { prng = rand.New(rand.NewSource(time.Now().Unix())) GameMechanics = make([]*MechanicInfo, 34) GameMechanics[0] = UnkillableObjects //... GameMechanics[33] = Race } // serving var index = template.Must(template.ParseFiles( "templates/_base.html", "templates/index.html", )) func randMechHandler(w http.ResponseWriter, req *http.Request) { mechanics := [3]*MechanicInfo{RandMechanic(), RandMechanic(), RandMechanic()} if err := index.Execute(w, mechanics); err != nil { http.Error(w, err.Error(), http.StatusInternalServerError) } } func main() { http.HandleFunc("/", randMechHandler) if err := http.ListenAndServe(":80", nil); err != nil { panic(err) } } In addition, the unabridged code, the _base.html template, and the index.html template. What could be causing this issue? Is there a process for debugging a cryptic exit status like this?

  • Odd behavior when recursively building a return type for variadic functions

    - by Dennis Zickefoose
    This is probably going to be a really simple explanation, but I'm going to give as much backstory as possible in case I'm wrong. Advanced apologies for being so verbose. I'm using gcc4.5, and I realize the c++0x support is still somewhat experimental, but I'm going to act on the assumption that there's a non-bug related reason for the behavior I'm seeing. I'm experimenting with variadic function templates. The end goal was to build a cons-list out of std::pair. It wasn't meant to be a custom type, just a string of pair objects. The function that constructs the list would have to be in some way recursive, with the ultimate return value being dependent on the result of the recursive calls. As an added twist, successive parameters are added together before being inserted into the list. So if I pass [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6] the end result should be {1+2, {3+4, 5+6}}. My initial attempt was fairly naive. A function, Build, with two overloads. One took two identical parameters and simply returned their sum. The other took two parameters and a parameter pack. The return value was a pair consisting of the sum of the two set parameters, and the recursive call. In retrospect, this was obviously a flawed strategy, because the function isn't declared when I try to figure out its return type, so it has no choice but to resolve to the non-recursive version. That I understand. Where I got confused was the second iteration. I decided to make those functions static members of a template class. The function calls themselves are not parameterized, but instead the entire class is. My assumption was that when the recursive function attempts to generate its return type, it would instantiate a whole new version of the structure with its own static function, and everything would work itself out. The result was: "error: no matching function for call to BuildStruct<double, double, char, char>::Go(const char&, const char&)" The offending code: static auto Go(const Type& t0, const Type& t1, const Types&... rest) -> std::pair<Type, decltype(BuildStruct<Types...>::Go(rest...))> My confusion comes from the fact that the parameters to BuildStruct should always be the same types as the arguments sent to BuildStruct::Go, but in the error code Go is missing the initial two double parameters. What am I missing here? If my initial assumption about how the static functions would be chosen was incorrect, why is it trying to call the wrong function rather than just not finding a function at all? It seems to just be mixing types willy-nilly, and I just can't come up with an explanation as to why. If I add additional parameters to the initial call, it always burrows down to that last step before failing, so presumably the recursion itself is at least partially working. This is in direct contrast to the initial attempt, which always failed to find a function call right away. Ultimately, I've gotten past the problem, with a fairly elegant solution that hardly resembles either of the first two attempts. So I know how to do what I want to do. I'm looking for an explanation for the failure I saw. Full code to follow since I'm sure my verbal description was insufficient. First some boilerplate, if you feel compelled to execute the code and see it for yourself. Then the initial attempt, which failed reasonably, then the second attempt, which did not. #include <iostream> using std::cout; using std::endl; #include <utility> template<typename T1, typename T2> std::ostream& operator <<(std::ostream& str, const std::pair<T1, T2>& p) { return str << "[" << p.first << ", " << p.second << "]"; } //Insert code here int main() { Execute(5, 6, 4.3, 2.2, 'c', 'd'); Execute(5, 6, 4.3, 2.2); Execute(5, 6); return 0; } Non-struct solution: template<typename Type> Type BuildFunction(const Type& t0, const Type& t1) { return t0 + t1; } template<typename Type, typename... Rest> auto BuildFunction(const Type& t0, const Type& t1, const Rest&... rest) -> std::pair<Type, decltype(BuildFunction(rest...))> { return std::pair<Type, decltype(BuildFunction(rest...))> (t0 + t1, BuildFunction(rest...)); } template<typename... • How to properly use references with variadic templates

    - by Hippicoder
    I have something like the following code: template<typename T1, typename T2, typename T3> void inc(T1& t1, T2& t2, T3& t3) { ++t1; ++t2; ++t3; } template<typename T1, typename T2> void inc(T1& t1, T2& t2) { ++t1; ++t2; } template<typename T1> void inc(T1& t1) { ++t1; } I'd like to reimplement it using the proposed variadic templates from the upcoming standard. However all the examples I've seen so far online seem to be printf like examples, the difference here seems to be the use of references. I've come up with the following: template<typename T> void inc(T&& t) { ++t; } template<typename T,typename ... Args> void inc(T&& t, Args&& ... args) { ++t inc(args...); } What I'd like to know is: Should I be using r-values instead of references? Possible hints or clues as to how to accomplish what I want correctly. What guarantees does the new proposed standard provide wrt the issue of the recursive function calls, is there some indication that the above variadic version will be as optimal as the original? (should I add inline or some-such?)

  • Explicit specialization in non-namespace scope

    - by Mark
    template<typename T> class CConstraint { public: CConstraint() { } virtual ~CConstraint() { } template <typename TL> void Verify(int position, int constraints[]) { } template <> void Verify<int>(int, int[]) { } }; Compiling this under g++ gives the following error: Explicit specialization in non-namespace scope 'class CConstraint' In VC, it compiles fine. Can anyone please let me know the workaround?

  • Wrapbootstrap integration

    - by Shaun Frost Duke Jackson
    Good Afternoon All, I'm having trouble integrating this template into my rails application. I've changes all the images and loaded all the files into their relevant areas. However they still have the subdirectories. Does anyone know of a guide I can walk through which might explain how you do this, especially to include the revolution-slider which has a whole subdirectory of CSS and images. Template being used: https://wrapbootstrap.com/theme/pixma-responsive-multipurpose-template-WB0B348C6 Thanks for the help.

  • How can I match a twitter username with angular ui router

    - by user3929999
    I need to be able to match a path like '/@someusername' with angular ui router but can't figure out the regex for it. What I have are routes like the following $stateProvider .state('home', {url:'/', templateUrl:'/template/path.html'}) .state('author', {url:'/{username:[regex-to-match-@username-here]}'}) .state('info', {url:'/:slug', templateUrl:'/template/path.html'}) .state('entry', {url:'/:type/:slug', templateUrl:'/template/path.html'}); I need a bit of regex for the 'author' route that will match @usernames. Currently, everything I try is caught by the 'entry' route.

  • Javascript Rich Display Component/Methodology

    - by Laramie
    quick back story-- I am working on ASP.Net based template editor that lets authors create text templates using Javascript inserted placeholder tags that will be filled in with dynamic text when the templates are used to display the final results. For example the author might create a template like The word [%12#add] was generated dynamically. The application would eventually replace the tag with a dynamic word down the road (though it's not specifically relevant to this post) The word foo was generated dynmamically. Depending on the circumstances, the template may be created in a text input, textarea or a modified version of the Ajax Control Toolkit HTML Editor. There might be 40 or more of these editable elements on the page, so using lots of stripped down or modified HTML editors would probably bog the page down too much. The problem is that the tags such as [%12#add] are displayed inline with the user text and the result is confusing and aesthetically gross. The goal is parse the contens of the source element and when a tags such as [%12#add] are encountered, display something prettier and less cryptic to the user such as a stylable element or image wherever tags such as [%12#add] occur. The application still needs the template text with the tags on postback. So the user might see The word tag placeholder was generated dynamically. but the original template would still be the value of the text input box The word [%12#add] was generated dynamically. It seems HTML editors like the ACT version and FckEditor accomplish this by rendering their output in an IFrame, but rather than kill myself trying to roll a lighter specialized version myself, I thought I'd ask if anyone knows of an existing free component or approach that has already tackled this. With good reason, I don't think S.O. allows HTML formatting, but the bold "tag placeholder" above would ideally be something like tag placeholder.

  • WPF performance for large number of elements on the screen

    - by Mark
    Im currently trying to create a Scene in WPF where I have around 250 controls on my screen and the user can Pan and Zoom in and out of these controls using the mouse. I have run the WPF Performance Suite tools on the application when there are a large number of these controls on the screen (i.e. when the user has zoomed right out) the FPS drops down to around 15 which is not very good. Here is the basic outline of the XAML: <Window> <Window.Resources> <ControlTemplate x:Key="LandTemplate" TargetType="{x:Type local:LandControl}"> <Canvas> <Path Fill="White" Stretch="Fill" Stroke="Black" StrokeThickness="1" Width="55.5" Height="74.687" Data="M0.5,0.5 L55,0.5 L55,74.187 L0.5,74.187 z"/> <Canvas x:Name="DetailLevelCanvas" Width="24.5" Height="21" Canvas.Left="15.306" Canvas.Top="23.972"> <TextBlock Width="21" Height="14" Text="712" TextWrapping="Wrap" Foreground="Black"/> <TextBlock Width="17.5" Height="7" Canvas.Left="7" Canvas.Top="14" Text="614m2" TextWrapping="Wrap" FontSize="5.333" Foreground="Black"/> </Canvas> </Canvas> </ControlTemplate> </Window.Resources> ... <local:LandControl Width="55.5" Height="74.552" Canvas.Top="xxx" Template=" {StaticResource LandTemplate}" RenderTransformOrigin="0.5,0.5" Canvas.Left="xxx"> <local:LandControl Width="55.5" Height="74.552" Canvas.Top="xxx" Template=" {StaticResource LandTemplate}" RenderTransformOrigin="0.5,0.5" Canvas.Left="xxx"> <local:LandControl Width="55.5" Height="74.552" Canvas.Top="xxx" Template=" {StaticResource LandTemplate}" RenderTransformOrigin="0.5,0.5" Canvas.Left="xxx"> <local:LandControl Width="55.5" Height="74.552" Canvas.Top="xxx" Template=" {StaticResource LandTemplate}" RenderTransformOrigin="0.5,0.5" Canvas.Left="xxx"> ... and so on... </Window> Ive tried to minimise the details in the control template and I even did a massive find and replace of the controls to just put their raw elements inline instead of using a template, but with no noticeable performance improvements. I have seen other SO questions about this and people say to do custom drawing, but I dont really see how that make sense when you have to zoom and pan like I do. If anyone can help out here, that would be great! Mark

  • How to change the layout of the CreateUserWizard control?

    - by Bazzz
    How to change just the layout (template) of the CreateUserWizard control programmatically? I would to define another layout (not using the horrid table) but continue to use all the event handling and the creation of the user of the CreateUserWizard control. Just for reference, the following code doesn't work, and produces an unexpected result not representing my Template at all. The "InstantiateIn" method of the ITemplate is not called. public partial class b : System.Web.UI.Page { protected void Page_Init(object sender, EventArgs e) { CreateUserWizard createUserWizard = new CreateUserWizard(); createUserWizard.CreateUserStep.ContentTemplate = new Template(); Panel1.Controls.Add(createUserWizard); } } public class Template : ITemplate { void ITemplate.InstantiateIn(Control container) { container.Controls.Add(new TextBox() { ID = "UserName" }); container.Controls.Add(new TextBox() { ID = "Password" }); container.Controls.Add(new TextBox() { ID = "ConfirmPassword" }); container.Controls.Add(new TextBox() { ID = "Email" }); container.Controls.Add(new PlaceHolder() { ID = "ErrorMessage" }); } } }

  • can these templates be made unambiguous

    - by R Samuel Klatchko
    I'm trying to create a set of overloaded templates for arrays/pointers where one template will be used when the compiler knows the size of the array and the other template will be used when it doesn't: template <typename T, size_t SZ> void moo(T (&arr)[SZ]) { ... } template <typename T> void moo(T *ptr) { ... } The problem is that when the compiler knows the size of the array, the overloads are ambiguous and the compile fails. Is there some way to resolve the ambiguity (perhaps via SFINAE) or is this just not possible.

  • jQuery tabs error when used with jTemplates

    - by tessa
    I am using jTemplates to format data returned from a json query. I am trying to transform the div with the id "fundingDialogTabs" into jQuery tabs after the template is processed. It renders the tab buttons, but both fragment1 and fragment2 divs are showing at the same time. I get the error "jQuery UI Tabs: Mismatching fragment identifier" when clicking on the fragment2 tab. Or, troubleshooting suggestions if you think that the issue is with the code? The style.sass file is in the /views folder. Haml files from the same folder render OK. Thank you.

  • What makes this "declarator invalid"? C++

    - by nieldw
    I have Vertex template in vertex.h. From my graph.h: 20 template<class edgeDecor, class vertexDecor, bool dir> 21 class Vertex; which I use in my Graph template. I've used the Vertex template successfully throughout my Graph, return pointers to Vertices, etc. Now for the first time I am trying to declare and instantiate a Vertex object, and gcc is telling me that my 'declarator' is 'invalid'. How can this be? 81 template<class edgeDecor, class vertexDecor, bool dir> 82 Graph<edgeDecor,int,dir> Graph<edgeDecor,vertexDecor,dir>::Dijkstra(vertex s, bool print = false) const 83 { 84 /* Construct new Graph with apropriate decorators */ 85 Graph<edgeDecor,int,dir> span = new Graph<edgeDecor,int,dir>(); 86 span.E.reserve(this->E.size()); 87 88 typename Vertex<edgeDecor,int,dir> v = new Vertex(INT_MAX); 89 span.V = new vector<Vertex<edgeDecor,int,dir> >(this->V.size,v); 90 }; And gcc is saying: graph.h: In member function ‘Graph<edgeDecor, int, dir> Graph<edgeDecor, vertexDecor, dir>::Dijkstra(Vertex<edgeDecor, vertexDecor, dir>, bool) const’: graph.h:88: error: invalid declarator before ‘v’ graph.h:89: error: ‘v’ was not declared in this scope I know this is probably another noob question, but I'll appreciate any help.

    I would like to end up with the following HTML in the DOM using jQuery and KnockoutJs templates: <div class="messageToAndFromOtherMember" id="13"> <span>the message</span> <span>2012-12-02 14:05:45.0</span> </div> I have started writing my KO template as follows: <div class="messageToAndFromOtherMember" data-bind="attr:{ id: messageId}"> <span data-bind="text: message"></span> <span data-bind="text: sendDateFmted"></span> </div> Upon a successful ajax request, the following js is executed: var messageViewModel = { message: response.message, sendDateFmted: response.sendDateFmted, messageId: response.messageId }; ko.applyBindings(messageViewModel); Now I am not sure how and where to actually do the binding: since my message does not exist before the ajax request is complete and I can have as several messages... Can anyone please suggest a solution? EDIT: I have added this to the html page: <div data-bind="template: { name: 'message-template', data: messageViewModel }"></div> I now get the following js error: Uncaught Error: Unable to parse bindings. Message: ReferenceError: $messageViewModel is not defined; Bindings value: template: { name: 'message-template', data: messageViewModel }

  • How to transform a cached XML via XSL?

    - by TruMan1
    I have a PHP script that caches a remote XML file. I want to XSL transform it before caching, but don't know how to do this: <?php // Set this to your link Id $linkId = "0oiy8Plr697u3puyJy9VTUWfPrCEvEgJR"; // Set this to a directory that has write permissions // for this script $cacheDir = "temp/"; $cachetime = 15 * 60; // 15 minutes // Do not change anything below this line // unless you are absolutely sure $feedUrl="http://mydomain.com/messageService/guestlinkservlet?glId="; $cachefile = $cacheDir .$linkId.".xml"; header('Content-type: text/xml'); // Send from the cache if $cachetime is not exceeded if (file_exists($cachefile) && (time() - $cachetime < filemtime($cachefile))) { include($cachefile); echo "<!-- Cached ".date('jS F Y H:i', filemtime($cachefile))." -->\n"; exit; } $contents = file_get_contents($feedUrl . $linkId); // show the contents of the XML file echo $contents; // write it to the cache $fp = fopen($cachefile, 'w'); fwrite($fp, $contents); fclose($fp); ?> This is the XSL string I want to use to transform it: <xsl:template match="/"> <kml xmlns="http://www.opengis.net/kml/2.2"> <Document> <xsl:apply-templates select="messageList" /> </Document> </kml> </xsl:template> <xsl:template match="messageList"> <name>My Generated KML</name> <xsl:apply-templates select="message" /> </xsl:template> <xsl:template match="message"> <Placemark> <name><xsl:value-of select="esnName" /></name> <Point> <coordinates> <xsl:value-of select="latitude" />,<xsl:value-of select="longitude" /> </coordinates> </Point> </Placemark> </xsl:template> I want to actually transform XML input and save/return a KML format. Can someone please help adjust this script? This was given to me and I am a little new to it.

  • Decorator for determining HTTP response from a view

    - by polera
    I want to create a decorator that will allow me to return a raw or "string" representation of a view if a GET parameter "raw" equals "1". The concept works, but I'm stuck on how to pass context to my renderer. Here's what I have so far: from django.shortcuts import render_to_response from django.http import HttpResponse from django.template.loader import render_to_string def raw_response(template): def wrap(view): def response(request,*args,**kwargs): if request.method == "GET": try: if request.GET['raw'] == "1": render = HttpResponse(render_to_string(template,{}),content_type="text/plain") return render except Exception: render = render_to_response(template,{}) return render return response return wrap Currently, the {} is there just as a place holder. Ultimately, I'd like to be able to pass a dict like this: @raw_response('my_template_name.html') def view_name(request): render({"x":42}) Any assistance is appreciated.

  • How to obtain the panel within a treeview (WPF)

    - by sperling
    How can one obtain the panel that is used within a TreeView? I've read that by default TreeView uses a VirtualizingStackPanel for this. When I look at a TreeView template, all I see is <ItemsPresenter />, which seems to hide the details of what panel is used. Possible solutions: 1) On the treeview instance ("tv"), from code, do this: tv.ItemsPanel. The problem is, this does not return a panel, but an ItemsPanelTemplate ("gets or sets the template that defines the panel that controls the layout of the items"). 2) Make a TreeView template that explicitly replaces <ItemsPresenter /> with your own ItemsControl.ItemsPanel. I am providing a special template anyways, so this is fine in my scenario. Then give a part name to the panel that you place within that template, and from code you can obtain that part (i.e. the panel). The problem with this? see below. (I am using a control named VirtualTreeView which is derived from TreeView, as is seen below): , use following: -- [sorry folks about poor formatting here, this is my first post, I tried 4 spaces for code... doesn't seem to work?] [I stripped out all clutter here for visibility...] The problem with this is: this immediately overrides any TreeView layout mechanism. Actually, you just get a blank screen, even when you have TreeViewItems filling the tree. Well, the reason I want to get a hold of the panel is to take some part in the MeaureOverride, but without going into all of that, I certainly do not want to rewrite the book of how to layout a treeview. I.e., doing this the step #2 way seems to invalidate the point of even using a TreeView in the first place. Sorry if there is some confusion here, thanks for any help you can offer.

  • Preventing a button from responding to 'Enter' in ASP.net

    - by kd7iwp
    I have a master template that all the pages on my site use. In the template there is an empty panel. In the code-behind for the page an imagebutton is created in the panel dynamically in my Page_Load section (makes a call to the DB to determine which button should appear via my controller). On some pages that use this template and have forms on them, pressing the Enter key fires the click event on this imagebutton rather than the submit button in the form. Is there a simple way to prevent the imagebutton click event from firing unless it's clicked by the mouse? I'm thinking a javascript method is a hack, especially since the button doesn't even exist in the master template until the button is dynamically created on Page_Load (this is ugly since I can't simply do <% =btnName.ClientId %> to refer to the button's name in my aspx page). I tried setting a super-high tabindex for the image button and that did nothing. Also set the button to be the DefaultButton in its panel on the master template but that did not work either.

  • BizTalk 2009 XSLT and Attribute Value Templates

    - by amok
    I'm trying to make use of attribute value type in a BizTalk XSL transformation to dynamically setting attribute or other element names. Read more here: http://www.w3.org/TR/xslt#dt-attribute-value-template The following code is an example of an XSL template to add an attribute optionally. <xsl:template name="AttributeOptional"> <xsl:param name="value"/> <xsl:param name="attr"/> <xsl:if test="$value != ''"> <xsl:attribute name="{$attr}"> <xsl:value-of select="$value"/> </xsl:attribute> </xsl:if> </xsl:template> Running this script in BizTalk results in "Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070002)" An alternative I was thinking of was to call a msxsl:script function to do the same but i cannot get a handle on the XSL output context from within the function. An ideas?

  • Using XSLT to Find Nodes Given a Set of Parameters

    - by davecardwell
    Sorry about the title—wasn’t sure how to word it. Basically I have some XML like this: <countries> <country handle="bangladesh"/> <country handle="india"/> <country handle="pakistan"/> </countries> And some XSLT like this (which doesn’t work): <xsl:template match="/countries"> <xsl:param name="popular"/> <xsl:apply-templates select="country[count($popular/country[@handle = current()/@handle]) &gt; 0]" /> </xsl:template> <xsl:template match="/countries/country"> … </xsl:template> I want to pass in a list of popular destinations like this: <popular> <country handle="india"/> <country handle="pakistan"/> </popular> …to the /countries template and have it only operate on the ones in the $popular param. At the moment this simply does nothing. Changing the selector to country[true()] operates on them all, so at least I know the basic structure is right. Any ideas? I think I may be getting confused by what is currently “current()”.

  • How do I make a class whose interface matches double, but upon which templates can be specialized?

    - by Neil G
    How do I make a class whose interface matches double, but whose templated types do not dynamic cast to double? The reason is that I have a run-time type system, and I want to be able to have a type that works just like double: template<int min_value, int max_value> class BoundedDouble: public double {}; And then inherit use template specialization to get run-time information about that type: template<typename T> class Type { etc. } template<int min_value, int max_value> class Type<BoundedDouble<min_value, max_value>> { int min() const { return min_value; } etc. } But, you can't inherit from double...
