  • Back Button gets Disabled on IE 7,8 for an ASP.NET site

    In an ASP.NET 3.5 website we are noticing that the back button is not working properly. If the user does several postbacks (say 10 times), and than starts pressing back button - the back button gets disabled before the user gets through all the pages. The site does not use AJAX.net. I can reproduce the issue on IE 7 and 8 almost always. The problem seems to be with some sort of limit IE has on History Cache for a given tab/instance. In the tests I did the post request to the server are large - around 83k, and the responses are are round 300k. It seems that with these request sizes the history does not hold more than 4 items. The moment I get to the 5 post, the first item i had selected is dropped.

  • Using a Cyc Image in Windows

    Hi, I am trying to use a Microtheory for a research project I am working on, and am having trouble getting my saved Image of constants I create to work correctly. I save the image after creating the constants using (write-image "world\MyImage") and then going to the \server\run\ directory and using run-cyc-32bit.bat -w "world\MyImage" It loads the server correctly, but not with my constants. I found the above command at the reference page here. Thank you for any help

  • wsgi-served page does not refresh

    I recently got my first app to work in uWSGI with Cherokee. I used the following code taken from the uWSGI docs: def application(environ, start_response): start_response('200 OK', [('Content-Type', 'text/plain')]) yield 'Hello World\n' The page correctly reads Hello World. When I change that text to New Thing and refresh, nothing changes. What am I forgetting? What I've tried: clearing browser history and cache stopping and starting Cherokee

  • NavigateBackward in Vim?

    So Ctrl-o works only with jumps and has a history, '' gets you back to your last position regardless of how you ended up there (jumping, navigating, etc) but there's no history for it. What I'm looking for is the best of those two worlds, something like Visual studio's NavigateBackward. Ctrl-o is good but a lot of the times it takes me back to positions I wouldn't expect, jumping is not the only way I navigate... Is there a built-in command/way in vim that does this? if not, is there a plugin for it? if not, I have no problem writing a plugin myself, I know how to set/get the caret position, but I looked at the autocmd-events and couldn't find anything that fires when the caret changes position. How would I go about detecting the 'change' of the caret position? Thanks.

  • Has jQuery core development been slowing down?

    So, I regularly head over to jQuery's Commit History on GitHub just to read through the new code committed to jQuery core. But there hasn't been anything new committed since April 24th. I've already read through jQuery core a few times and I'm pretty familiar with it which is why I like reading the commits. I just like to see what changed, why it was changed, etc. Why has there been a slow down in jQuery commits on GitHub? Anyone else have some recommendations for where I can go to view good javascript code being developed? My motive for reading jQuery's commit history is similar to the reasons I browse through accepted answers here on stackoverflow - to learn from people smarter than me. With that said, I am interested in the answer to this questions title, but I am more interested in finding a substitute to reading the jQuery commits.

    I am using clipboard code like below in my app.Everything is working fine if i copy one item at a time.But when we copy 2-3 items one after other and paste somewhere it starts retrieving repeated past value from clipboard rather than the current value.After googling a lot i came to know that its a problem with Samsung phones and i need to clear clipboard history for that.But i could not find any way to clear clipboard history.     Is it possible to use regex to turn this <site-ui:header title="error" backURL="javascript:history.go(-1);" /> into this <site-ui:header backURL="javascript:history.go(-1);" title="error" /> Basically, my goal is to format this xml so that the fields are in alphabetical order (e.g. backURL comes before title), and each field should be tabbed two spaces.     From a practical standpoint, is there any real-world difference between Read/Write permissions and Create/Read/Update/Delete permissions? It would seem that if a user had the ability to 'create', he should always have the ability to 'update' or 'delete'? If this is correct, then read/write should always be sufficient, and there is no need to store separate Create/Read/Update/Delete permissions? Are there any real-world use cases in which a user should be given permissions to create but not update, or update but not delete, etc...?

    I notice that some programs (e.g. sqlite, mysql client) provide a command-line prompt that is very similar in capabilities to the bash's, including: line editing with left and right arrows, delete, insert, ^K, etc. history browsing with up and down arrows ^R for reverse i-search in command history which make me think that they are using the same toolset for this. I'd like to create a prompt with similar capabilities in my program, which tools can I use? I prefer it to have the same functionality as in bash, so that the users would be familiar with it.

    I have read McCarthy's 1960 paper on LISP and found no reference to anything that's similar to user-defined macros or normal order evaluation. I was wondering when marcos first appeared in programming language history (and also in Lisp history): When was the idea of user-defined code transformation (before interpretation or compilation) first described (theoretically)? What was the first programming language implementation to have Lisp-like macros (by "Lisp-like" I mean "using a readable Turing-complete language to do code-transformation")? (including non-Lisps -- Forth for example is quite old, but I'm not sure if the first Forth implementation already had "IMMEDIATE") What was the first Lisp dialect to have macros? Thank you!

  • Scala return type for tuple-functions

    Hello Guys, I want to make a scala function which returns a scala tuple. I can do a function like this: def foo = (1,"hello","world") and this will work fine, but now I want to tell the compiler what I expect to be returned from the function instead of using the built in type inference (after all, I have no idea what a (1,"hello","world") is) I thought I remembered the classname being something like Tuple3[Int,String,String] but that doesnt work for me. Suggestions? :D (ps: I love stack overflow!)
