  Hi I need the following php script to do a currency conversion using a different XML file. Its a script from white-hat design http://www.white-hat-web-design.co.uk/articles/php-currency-conversion.php The script needs to be amended to do the following: 1, The php script downloads every 24 hours an xml file from rss.timegenie.com/foreign_exchange_rates_forex rss.timegenie.com/forex.xml rss.timegenie.com/forex2.xml 2, It then stores the xml file data/contents to a mysql database file ie currency and rate. Any advice would be appreciated.

• Is it ok to perform DB operation on UI thread?

  I am using a database to persist the state of a search form. I am using the onPause method to persist the data and the onResume method to restore it. My opinion is that restoring and persisting state should be a blocking operation so I plan to perform the database operations on the UI thread. I know this is generally discouraged but the operations should be quick and I think if they were done asynchronously they could lead to inconsistent UI behaviour. Any advice

  In my rails 3 model, I have two classes: Product, Service. I want both to be of type InventoryItem because I have another model called Store and Store has_many :InventoryItems This is what I'm trying to get to, but I'm not sure how to model this in my InventoryItem model and my Product and Service models. Should InventoryItem just be a parent class that Product and Service inherit from, or should InventoryItem be modeled as a class abstract of which Product and Service extend from. I have tried the following two: munkres hungarian However, in my case, I have to deal with non-complete graph (i.e., there might not be an edge between two nodes), and therefore, there might not be a match if the node has no edge.   I have a little problem with adding EventListener to multiple objects on stage. I have above 40 buttons on stage named "Button01","Button02" .. "Button40", and i'm looking for easiest way to add EventListener to all of them. Creating something like Button01.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, doSomething) Button02.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, doSomething) ..   Hey guys recently I have had the 'priveledge' of trying to set up an anti virus scanner to scan file uploads to my VPN server. I just finished trying to set up ClamAV but it slowed my server down to a hault once initiated so I had to kill it. Does anyone have any recommendations to a program that will accomplish my task and can be executed in php (other than clamAv)? Any advice greatly appreciated.

  In C++ do you always have initialize a pointer to an object with the new keyword? Or can you just have this too: MyClass *myclass; myclass->DoSomething(); I thought this was a pointer allocated on the stack instead of the heap, but since objects are normally heap allocated, I think my theory is probably faulty??
