  • Store an image in a SQL Server CE database

    Does any one know of an example on how to store an image in a SQL Server CE database? What data type should the column be? (I am guessing binary.) I use Linq-To-Datasets. Is it possible using that to put the image into the database and pull it out again later? Thanks for any advice.

    Does anyone know the proper interpretation of the accuracy measurements returned by getAccuracy()? For instance, are they calculated as: Circular Error Probability (meaning, if i understand correctly, radius of a 50% confidence circle)? Radius of 95% confidence circle? something else?   • Using object instead of AppDelegate for Outlets & Actions?

    In all the MonoTouch examples I have seen everyone is using outlets and actions on AppDelegate, yet when I've been through some objective-C webcasts I see people using an Object they drag onto XIB in Interface Builder and using that (Seems a lot cleaner). Is there just not a way to reference any Objects like that that we create? Is there a particular way to access it? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks

    Hi, I'm a college student majoring in computer science. I know java and will be learning C++ the next couple years at school. I want to add another language to my repertoire and have gotten conflicting advice: Ruby, Python, Perl, JavaScript, PHP, AJAX, among others. I was wondering what everyone's opinions were on the relative value of each of these languages in the job market, the ease of learning of each of the languages, and just personal preferences when it comes to the languages mentioned above.     Let us say I have a url of subdomain.domain.com. Is there a way in ASP.NET MVC to have a url of say otherdomain.com/gotothesubdomain that takes you to subdomain.domain.com? I know that a simple redirect could do it, but I want the url to stay as otherdomain.com/gotothesubdomain. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and thanks!

I was thinking of implementing an AlertDialog but as I need more than 3 options it is not possible... I also thought of putting my ListView in a FrameLayout and have an view with a gone visibility that I would turn visible at the click and update the content but I don't know If it's a good idea. While it blocks the browser during the active request, what is the most efficient way to change the cursor to the hourglass or display a wait .gif? (html "blah" "foo" baz) = "blahfoobaz" I did not find a better way than this one: (defun html (&rest values) (concatenate 'string "" (reduce #'(lambda(a b) (concatenate 'string a b)) values :initial-value "") "")) But this looks somewhat glumbsy to me, since line 4 does no more than concatenating the &rest parameter "values". I tried (concatenate 'string "" (values-list values) "") but this does not seem to work (SBCL). Could someone give me an advice? Kind regards
