    I have a login page which will log a user into my webapp based on their facebook login details. I then create a session to remember who they are. What I want to know is, should I be creating and/or checking the facebook credential on every single page of my webapp, or should I simply use the session I create at the beginning to login? For example, once they have logged in, I would like to allow them to post a message onto their own facebook wall from my app. Should I check the login credentials before they can post by recreating the facebook object, or should I simply use the stored login details already in my session and use that to post to their facebook wall?

    The idea is simple, I'd like a function I could do something like =MOD_DATE_OF(A1:A4) and when any of the cells in such range is modified, the cell I assigned that formula gets the current date. I have found some similar questions on the web and even here, but none of them quite it.     I want to integrate some asyncore.dispatcher instances into GLib's default main context. I figure I can create a custom GSource that's able to detect event readiness on the various sockets in asyncore.socket_map. From C I believe this is done by creating the necessary GSourceFuncs which could involve cheap and non-blocking calls to select, and then handling them using asyncore.read, .write and friends. How do I actually create a GSource from Python? The class glib.Source is undocumented, and attempts to use the class interactively have been in vain. Is there some other method that allows me to handled socket events in the asyncore module without resorting to timeouts (or anything that endangers potential throughput and CPU usage)?

I've created a user using useradd [user_name] and given them a password using passwd [password]. I've created a directory in /var/ftp and then I bind this to the directory that I wish to limit access to. What else do I need to specifically do to ensure that when this user logs into FTP, they only have access to this directory please?

Here's my example: function doSomething() { var output = 'output here'; // Do something here // This is where I want to create the callback function and pass output as a parameter } I want the callback function to be accessible by any number of scripts (e.g. more than one script can access this callback). This function (doSomething) is not part of a plugin but rather part of another callback function itself. I set up a two way trust between the two domains, but now I want to move their servers into our forest, while keeping the domain name of blah.com. Is this possible? What things do I need to consider when doing this? I know I can't move the domain from its forest into our forest. blah.com is a 2003 native domain/forest foo.com is a 2008R2 domain/2003 forest.

    Scenario: I am running a cluster of machines. Each machine runs various python programs with a unique (across the cluster), but dynamically set, ID. Right now, they are all logging locally. So, I might have logs that look like: process_5.log process_6.log for processes that had ID's 5 and 6. Another machine may have: process_20.log process_25.log I wish to forward these logs to a logserver running rsyslogd. Python's logging facility has a nice syslog handler, so I understand how I could connect to the remote server. What I haven't figured out is how to use templating/DynFile to maintain log separation. e.g. on the logserver, I will want to see: process_5.log process_6.log process_20.log process_25.log which correspond to the logs of the same name on the sending machine. Is there a way to pull this off with rsyslogd templating?

    Setup: I have a samsung LCD TV that is connected via eth0 to a T41 Thinkpad running Ubuntu 10.10 which is wirelessly connected to the home router. I am trying to get Samsung's remote control app working on my iPad but the app won't allow me to put in an ip address and only discovers the tv if it's on the same subnet as the iPad (lame). So I need the laptop to route packets from eth0 to the wireless interface (wlan0), and I need about 3 ports on the wlan0 interface to be forwarded to the samsung tv. Hopefully all this makes sense. I've been messing around with iptables and samsung is now able to access internet via laptop wireless, but mapping from wlan0 back to the samsung tv is eluding me.

    I get the error message 'Can't create deploy folder.' when I try to profile a remote websites on WAWS. Actions taken: Downloaded and installed the dotTrace Profiler 5.5 from the JetBrains website Downloaded the dotTrace.Performance.Remote version 5.5.0 from Nuget Published the website to WAWS via Visual Studio 2013 Started the dotTrace application as Administrator Connected to the remote _https://subdomain.azurwebsites.net/AgentService.asmx. See image: http://1drv.ms/1nF5Cyh Selected the w3wp process and pressed Run Got the error message 'Can't create deploy folder'.     We were trying to run fllowing code in rake file: directory "tmp" file "hello.tmp" => "tmp" do sh "echo 'Hello' >> 'tmp/hello.tmp'" end We have taken this code from http://jasonseifer.com/2010/04/06/rake-tutorial But, since we are working on windows commands like'sh','echo' wont work.. according to the explanation given for the above code, it should first create a directory 'tmp' and then create a file 'hello.tmp' which will have 'hello' as its text.. Firstly, how can we do this for windows? and Secondly, a file with extension '.tmp' sounds quite wierd.. what does 'hello.tmp' specifies? Does it simply mean that 'hello.tmp' is a text file in 'tmp' directory?

    I have a domain parked.com which is parked onto real.com. I have created the subdomain m.parked.com by editing parked.com's named file: m 14400 IN A ip-address www.m 14400 IN A ip-address This works somewhat: if I go to m.parked.com it redirects to http://m.parked.com/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi This is my question: I would like to redirect this subdomain to real.com as that is the domain it is parked on. I do not know how to do this as parked.com does not have its own .htaccess file, etc. (due to it being a parked domain) so I can't do any mod_rewrite magic. Can anyone help me?
