  • Do i need to dispose of MySqlCommand?

    I find it incredibly annoying to write a using statement on every one of my queries (which require its own command or write parameters.clear()) which sometimes require declaring variables outside of the using block. Its so incredibly annoying and looks much dirtier compared to the version without disposing the object. Do i need to dispose of it? what happens if i dont? I do know its good practice to dispose of an object when it has that interface.

  • enabling the "return button" in a UITextField keyboard (objective-c/iphone)

    When I start editing a UITextField, I have the "Clear When Editing Begins" option checked so it starts off with no text. However, the "Return" button is grayed out until you type at least one character. I've seen other iphone apps where the "Return" button is not grayed out (and if you press it with no text, then it goes back to what the text used to be). How is this done? Thanks.

    I've been using this code as a queue that blocks on Dequeue() until an element is enqueued. I've used this code for a few years now in several projects, all with no issues... until now. I'm seeing a deadlock in some code I'm writing now, and in investigating the problem, my 'eye of suspicion' has settled on this BlockingQueue<T>.   • iPhone UIWebView touch cause Toolbar to appear

    I am trying to have a UI which is a full screen UIWebView. When the view is touched the tool bar appears. I can do everything but get the touchend event in the UIWebView. I have tried putting a UIColor.Clear'd UIView ontop and catching TouchEnd there and passing it on, but would like a better solution. I understand that we are not supposed to subclass the UIWebView from the docs. Ideas?
