• Problems with sticky footer - CSS - main content wont go 100% height (float)

  I'm trying to implement hxxp://www.cssstickyfooter.com however I am having a few problems! See screenshot: hxxp://img22.imageshack.us/img22/2654/71161106.jpg The div "Content" contains both left and right columns. On smaller resolutions this is working as expected however once the user starts to increase there resolution the content doesn't expand as I intend it to. If you notice the blue box. That should stretch to the footer at the bottom of the page. If you notice that the blue divider line (right_container3-4) stops also at the same point. • Network Logon Issues with Group Policy and Network

  I am gravely in need of your help and assistance. We have a problem with our logon and startup to our Windows 7 Enterprise system. We have more than 3000 Windows Desktops situated in roughly 20+ buildings around campus. Almost every computer on campus has the problem that I will be describing. I have spent over one month peering over etl files from Windows Performance Analyzer (A great product) and hundreds of thousands of event logs. I come to you today humbled that I could not figure this out. The problem as simply put our logon times are extremely long. An average first time logon is roughly 2-10 minutes depending on the software installed. All computers are Windows 7, the oldest computers being 5 years old. Startup times on various computers range from good (1-2 minutes) to very bad (5-60). Our second time logons range from 30 seconds to 4 minutes. We have a gigabit connection between each computer on the network. We have 5 domain controllers which also double as our DNS servers. Initial testing led us to believe that this was a software problem. So I spent a few days testing machines only to find inconsistent results from the etl files from xperfview. Each subset of computers on campus had a different subset of software issues, none seeming to interfere with logon just startup. So I started looking at our group policy and located some very interesting event ID’s. Group Policy 1129: The processing of Group Policy failed because of lack of network connectivity to a domain controller. Group Policy 1055: The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows could not resolve the computer name. This could be caused by one of more of the following: a) Name Resolution failure on the current domain controller. b) Active Directory Replication Latency (an account created on another domain controller has not replicated to the current domain controller). NETLOGON 5719 : This computer was not able to set up a secure session with a domain controller in domain OURDOMAIN due to the following: There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request. This may lead to authentication problems. Make sure that this computer is connected to the network. If the problem persists, please contact your domain administrator. E1kexpress 27: Intel®82567LM-3 Gigabit Network Connection – Network link is disconnected. NetBT 4300 – The driver could not be created. WMI 10 - Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected. More or less with timestamps it becomes apparent that the network maybe the issue. 1:25:57 - Group Policy is trying to discover the domain controller information 1:25:57 - The network link has been disconnected 1:25:58 - The processing of Group Policy failed because of lack of network connectivity to a domain controller. This may be a transient condition. A success message would be generated once the machine gets connected to the domain controller and Group Policy has successfully processed.   I'm using Box2dx (ported to C#; optimized for XNA). It handles collision resolution, but how can I tell if two objects are currently colliding? • Creating an Excel 2007 bubble chart with date values in axis

  I'm trying to create a graph showing the duration of issue resolution. I believe a bubble chart in excel will show what I want but I can't manage to get it working correctly. For each date I have a number of days (duration) and a number of issues (magnitude). Most dates have a duration of 1 with a large magnitude, and I want to avoid the outliers dominating the chart. e.g. 1-Feb, 1, 15 1-Feb, 2, 10 1-Feb, 9, 1 2-Feb, 1, 11 2-Feb, 2, 14 2-Feb, 6, 2 2-Feb, 18, 1 etc. I want the data in this example to give me 2 columns of bubbles. When I try to get excel to create the chart I can't get the date to appear at on the x axis; I get a count (representing the row of the data) instead, and as each row is a separate column, the values don't line up for the date. Can this be done in Excel 2007 without using VBA?

  I have a page that requires a scrollbar - http://www.aus-media.com/dev/site_BYJ/schedule-pricing/pricing.html You will notice (unless you are running at a high resolution with a big screen) that there is an outer scrollbar for the main page as well as an inner scrollbar for the content. When you click on one of the sub items e.g. payments you will notice that the outer page scrolls down as well as the inner scrollbar.   Hi everyone, my background is totally not related to video stuff so pardon my newbie style. I own a samsung HMX-H100P camcorder and I'm trying to encode videos to be uploaded to Youtube and Vimeo. First problem: videos generated by the camera with no processing appear like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AANbl_DTuzE when I play them with Totem(Linux) or VideoLan. Second problem: When I try to encode the videos produced by the camera using mencoder I get the video at the resolution I chose but those ugly lines and lagging are still present. Here's the command I use: mencoder $inputFile -aspect 16:9 -of lavf -lavfopts format=psp -oac lavc -ovc lavc -lavcopts aglobal=1:vglobal=1:coder=0:vcodec=libx264:acodec=libfaac:vbitrate=4500:abitrate=128 -vf scale=1280:720 -ofps 25000/1001 -o $outputFile Any ideas? I'm doing a lookup on a hostname using Dns.GetHostEntry This returns an IPHostEntry to me, which has an AddressList property which is an array of IPAddress. I always thought there is a 1 to 1 mapping between hostname and IP, but I'm finding that in some cases I get back several IPAddress(es) for the same host. This is a surprise to me. Which part of domain name resolution do I not understand?

• PHP/MySQL database connection priority?

  Hello, I have a production database where usage statistics for a service we're working on. I use php to periodically roll up different resolutions (day, week, month, year) of interesting statistics in buckets dictated by the resolution. The php application I've written "completes" its data when its run, such that it will calculate all the rolled-up statistics for the resolutions and periods since it was last run. This is useful if we want to turn this off to debug database performance issues, because I can turn it back on and have it complete its data set. The problem I have, is the calculations are fairly intensive and drive the QPS of the production database server up. Is there a way to set a "priority" on a particular database connection so that it will only use "off-cycles" to do these calculations? Maybe a proper response would be to replicate the tables I'm working on into a different stats database, but, unfortunately I don't have the resources in place to attempt such a thing (yet). • Flash in firefox does not start unitl they show in page

  I have this little problem. My client wanted two distinct swf on a web page: a viewer on top and a slideshow of images at bottom. Clicking a link on the slideshow make the viewer load a movie, by means of LocalConnection api. The slideshow has a default, so when the page is loaded a default movie start. This works nice on all browser. The only problem I have is on firefox. When screen resolution is too low, or the monitor is too small (netbook) the slideshow remain hidden until scrolling. Therefore at page loading it doesn't start and the main viewer don't get instructed on playing the default video. As soon as I scroll the page, and the slideshow swf display on page, it starts and everything works fine. Do you know if there are any solution to this ? I cannot change the design, I must have two distinct swf, they come from a library he has, and I am trying to reuse components. thanks Leonardo

• Using IVMRWindowlessControl to display video in a Winforms Control and allow for full screen toggle

  I've recently switched from using the IVideoWindow interface to IVMRWindowlessControl in my custom Winforms control to display video. The reason for this was to allow zoom capabilities on the video within the control. However in switching over, I've found that the FullScreen mode from IVideoWindow is not available and I am currently trying to replicate this using the SetVideoWindow() method. I'm finding that I size the video in my control to be at the same resolution as the screen however I can't get the control to position itself to the top/left of the screen and become the top most window. Any ideas on how to achieve this since the IVideoWindow::put_FullScreenMode just did it all for you?

• StreamWriter Problem - 2 Spaces Written as Hex '20 c2 a0' instead of Hex '20 20'

  I'm writing a bunch of strings to a file using a string writer but I've discovered a problem when I look at the file created in hex, and that is that one of the spaces (x20) is replaced with a non-breaking space instead (xc2 a0) when there are 2 spaces separating words. I don't know if this is a big deal but I would like to know if there is an easy resolution to this? Here's what I'm seeing: 20 c2 a0 53 57 45 45 50 Dump = "  SWEEP" But I would like it to always be: 20 20 53 57 45 45 50 Dump = " SWEEP" Note that the c2 a0 aren't visible here but the dump looks something like 'A.' when I use the Notepad++ Hex Plugin. • Eclipse + PDT hides files extensions

  Eclipse is now hiding file extensions in PDT, in the PHP Explorer. They show up on tabs when the file is opened. This applies to files of all types. While annoying, it didn't become problematic until I started including the .htaccess files in the list. They now show up with no filename at all. I've scoured the prefs and the web looking for a resolution. Anyone had this happen or have an idea of how to fix it? Running Eclipse 3.5.2 PDT 2.1 on MacOS 10.5

• Safari Back button not honouring PHP logout session

  I've got a logout.php page which ends a user's session and works well and does the following: session_start(); session_unset(); session_destroy(); I've just noticed when testing with Safari that when you logout you can click the back button to return to the previous page which requires authentication but are not prompted. You cannot navigate away from this page without entering the navigation but it should not be displaying the previous page in the first place.   I've installed the Windows XAMPP package on three separate computers, 2 running Windows Vista 32 bit ( 1 Ultimate / 1 Home Premium ) and 1 running Windows Vista 64 Home Premium. After enabling xdebug in php.ini and restarting apache, viewing the default XAMPP localhost index causes apache to crash in the same way every time, reporting 'php_xdebug.dll' as the Fault Module Name. • Does Safari have a timeout issue?

  I have a website that works fine in Firefox and IE but never finishes loading in Safari 4.0.4. The live website loads a menu then loads a Google map. Using Safari, the Google map never loads. I have a test website on the same server that uses the exact same code for loading a Google map and Safari can load the map (this is the one that won't load on my live web). This test website does not have the menu - only the Google map. In both cases (live and test) the main web page calls a loadmap.js file. I've been pulling everything apart to try to identify why Safari won't finish loading. Has anyone run across any problems/solutions with Safari that may help me find a resolution to this problem?

  How does Windows decide which icon format to display when showing an exe's icon in Windows Explorer? Problem: When we look at our icon file and exe with embedded icon file in various Windows Explorer file views, the icon file is displayed in a higher quality mode than the icon displayed for our executable even though the icon in our executable contains the exact same icon. Our exe's icon has jaggier edges which leads me to believe that Windows Explorer may be trying to upsize a lower resolution icon rather than picking an icon appropriate for the actual display size. In a multi-format icon file, is there a specific order we should use for positioning each icon format? For example, we have an icon file with icons in the following formats: - 16x16 - 32x32 - 48x48 - 64x64 - 128x128 - 256x256 We are testing the appearance of our exe's icon using Windows Explorer under Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. Any suggestions appreciated.

• Converting Microsoft Word Smart Quotes to Straight Quotes

  We have a program where the user needs to do a Copy-Paste some content from Microsoft Word into a HTML editor (Visual Studio 2008). That content in the HTML is then used in our confirmation emails. Some of the characters like curly quotes turn into ? on the browser & in our confirmation email. For the browser... I was able to find how to resolve this issue by using jQuery. But for the confirmation email I cannot use JavaScript. • How do I render the scrollable regions of a canvas with IViewObject::Draw?

  Hi, I've been trying to render the entire canvas in an IWebBrowser2 control to a bitmap. IViewObject::Draw seems to be the most promising approach, but I can't get it to render anything that would requires a scroll to show. While I could automate the scrolling and stitch the images together, this would look weird with any fixed position elements. Is this even doable? Additionally, I've tried to set the controller's size to one that would allow the entire contents to display without needing to scroll, but Windows caps the max size to the current screen resolution, so that only gets me partially there. Any help would be much appreciated. I'm currently doing this in the context of Win7 and IE8, but I don't think that should matter much.

The flow will be something like: Requirements are planned and detailed in RM Create work items in TFS connected to the Requirements in RM Create design and code using VS2010 and managing the version control in TFS Creating test plans and test cases in CQ (connected to requirements in RM) Run test against builds in TFS Publish test results in CQ against builds in TFS Run reports in RM, CQ and TFS that links up the items across the platforms. I have started looking at TFS Integration platform. But shall like to have your guidance for an early resolution and better solution approach.

For example if you had a table of users does your view look like this? public interface MyDisplay{ HasValue<User> users(); } or would it be more like this? public interface MyDisplay{ HasValue<TableRow> rows(); } MVP makes a ton of sense until you start dealing with widgets that need to display lists of non-primitive data.
