    I don't even know the proper terminology for this lisp syntax, so I don't know if the words I'm using to ask the question, make sense. But the question makes sense, I'm sure. So let me just show you. cc-mode (cc-fonts.el) has things called "matchers" which are bits of code that run to decide how to fontify a region of code. That sounds simple enough, but the matcher code is in a form I don't completely understand, with babckticks and comma-atsign and just comma and so on, and furthermore it is embedded in a c-lang-defcost, which itself is a macro. And I want to run edebug on that code.   • Where does abort() and terminate() "live"?

    Regarding the terminate handler, As i understand it, when something bad happens in code, for example when we dont catch an exception, terminate() is called, which in turn calls abort() set_terminate(my_function) allows us to get terminate() to call a user specified function my_terminate. my question is: where do these functions "live" they don't seem to be a part of the language, but work as if they are present in every single cpp file, without having to include any header file.

  • jQuery: Giving each matched element an unique ID

    I am writing an 'inline translator' application to be used with a cloud computing platform to extend non-supported languages. The majority of this uses jQuery to find the text value, replace it with the translation, then append the element with a span tag that has an unique ID, to be used elsewhere within the application. The problem arises however, when there are more than one element, say , that have the exact same value to be translated (matched elements). What happens in the function in question is that it puts all matched elements in the same span, taking the second, third, fourth, etc. out of their parent tags.   • apt-get commands pausing at 'Waiting for headers' [closed]

    I have a VM running Ubuntu Server 9.10 running a basic web server setup. Whenever I run an apt function it will pause for around 1 minute at 'Waiting for headers...'. It will eventually clear through and continue as normal but it is a bit of an annoyance. Everything else on the server seems to run fine. Any ideas?

    I'm getting some problems trying Google Geocoding service when using special characters like "º" or letters with accents. Whenever I try something like: "barcelona, nº 10" I get 0 results. But trying: "barcelona n 10" I get results... I suspect is something related with encoding. I tried this: geocoder.geocode({'address': encodeURI( $('#direction').val() )}, function(){} ); But didn't help. Any Idea?
