    - by Radek
    can I do something like that? to pass arguments to my function? I already studied add_action doc but did not figure out how to do it. What the exact syntax to pass two arguments would look like. function recent_post_by_author($author,$number_of_posts) { some commands; } add_action('thesis_hook_before_post','recent_post_by_author',10,'author,2')

  • SVN: Recurisvely add files?

    - by Mark
    I'm trying svn add *.py --force As the documentation suggests, but I know for a fact it's missing files nested in deeper folders. Why? Is there a standard way to do this with other unix commands too? */*.py will nab a few more files, but it's kind of a pain in the butt to do this for every possible depth.

  • Java, user input to the command line when using Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command);

    - by user1557354
    I dont think this is possible, but I have been using: Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command); to run commands on the command line, but now I have come accross a situation where the command I am running part way through will ask for some user input, for example a username. This can not be resolved by a argument to the command that is being exec, is there any way I can pass the username to the same command line instance and continue? Thanks in advance.

  • How to assemble a WAV file?

    - by David
    I'm doing an educational project in which 1) I record voice commands on a separate device and after appropriate processing etc... 2) I send 16-bit samples encapsulated in UDP packets over Ethernet to the PC. After receiving the packets and "extracting" data (samples) from them, I need to assemble the samples to a WAV file. Any example code? Any suggestions?

  • Creating a Custom Ubuntu Daemon

    - by Chris S
    What's the "correct" way to create a custom daemon in Ubuntu, that will start at boot time and be controllable by Ubuntu's standard daemon start/stop commands? Can I just copy and paste one of the scripts in /etc/init.d or do I need to "register" the daemon somewhere else?

For this I'd like to define a "log" function callable as log "LEVEL" $message Where the message is a variable to which I have previously redirected the outputs of executed commands. My trouble is that I get errors with the following {message=command 2&3 1&3 3&-} &3 log "INFO" $message There's something wrong isn't there? TIA

  • How can I extract a range of lines from a text file on unix?

    - by Adam J. Forster
    I have a ~23000 line sql dump containing several databases worth of data. I need to extract a certain section of this file (i.e. the data for a single database) and place it in a new file. I know both the start and end line numbers of the data that I want. Does anyone know a unix command (or series of commands) to extract all lines from a file between say line 16224 and 16482 and then redirect them into a new file?
