    Hello, My ISP's DNS server is very crappy and I've been trying out various alternatives to it. I came across Treewalk ( http://ntcanuck.com/ ) and BIND, and decided to use Treewalk as it seemed easier. But it's performance hasn't been satisfactory. Can someone please guide me on how to setup BIND on my standalaone Windows XP 3 system which connects to the internet using PPPOE? (Note: I am aware about OpenDNS / Google / other public DNS servers but do not wish to use them).

I have bought my new netbook Acer Aspire One 751h some days ago and was very unpleased with it performance - videotalking in skype is almost unuseable, watching videos on YouTube(even in standart definition) is like watching slideshow and all netbook have increadible lags if I'm running more then 4-5 programms in one time. So, can somebody tell me how to impruve the performance of the netbook(OS - WinXP SP3)? And can you say me where to control power managment, please? Thank you!

    Hello, I want to use dual monitors with remote desktop on windows 7 ultimate. Host machine is win server 2008 r2. I open the run window type mstsc /multimon and press enter, also "use all my monitors for the remote session" is checked.By this way RDC is opening but only in one monitor.Do I need to do any changes on host too? I have tried /span attribute and it worked but I don't want it.

    Hello, I want my Windows Media Player to open with sorting done on the basis of rating by default, currently its on the basis of Album name. The reason why I don't want to just click on the top bar to sort on the basis of rating is that my music library is 37GB and it takes WMP around 5 seconds to get done rearranging, and I dislike that.     Hello, I am using virtualBox with windows datacenter to play around with some web development. The last time I had to shut down the computer, it installed an update and shut down normally. When I rebooted, it started doing a checkdisk and processed a bunch of files (from hard poweroffs before mabey). Now when I start, I get a bluescreen of death every time it loads (Safe mode,etc) I have googled around for a boot / recovery disk, but can't seem to find one for datacenter. Cheers -Will

    Hello, I work on a very large project (10000+ versions) and sometimes it happened that I need to know who of the other users deleted some line in a file. Is there a way to do that that? I can do svn blame with revision number to check if a line exists in that revision, then see in which revision the line is gone and see who commited that revision, but that procedure is lame with that large project. Is there a smarter way to do that?

    Hello, My problem is that when I do an apt-get update is trying to resolve ipv6 ips, and its failing to update/install/etc. How to disable ipv6 at apt-get? The ping to www.google.com.ar, resolves to an ipv4. And this is debian runnung in an OpenVZ container. Thanks!
