  • Can you pass _POST variables from 1 server to another?

    I have a web form on an IIS server (has no PHP). I have a PHP script on a LAMP server. My _POST var array is coming up empty on the LAMP server. My suspicion is I cannot pass POST vars from 1 server to another but I would like to have that confirmed. Does anyone know the answer to this? If that's the case then I know I need to with use _GET vars in the URL's Query String or set a cookie (which I can do because both servers are config'd with the domain name). Thanks for your help.

    I want to create an application that will fetch a JSON object from a servlet to deserialize it, and then use its variables to do other things. My servlet has the following code in the doPost: protected void doPost(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException { ObjectOutputStream os; os = new ObjectOutputStream(response.getOutputStream()); String s = new String("A String"); Gson gson = new Gson(); String gsonObject= gson.toJson(s); os.writeObject(gsonObject); os.close(); } Now, while the servlet is running, I can access it via a browser, if I post same code in the doGet method, that would download a servlet file, which is not what I want. What should I use in my second application that would connect to the servlet, fetch the object, so that I can manipulate it later? Thanks in advance.

    I'm posting data to a page called process.aspx that handles some business logic with the following code: <%@ Page Language="C#" %> <% MyData.process(Request); Response.Redirect("") %> this page I will be calling from a variety of pages. Is there some way of knowing from which page my form was submitted? I was thinking something along the lines of writing: <form id="frmSystem" method="post" action="process.aspx?page=<%= %>"> However I don't know what to write in between the <%= %> to get the current page name. I already tried this: azione = escape(String(azione)); With no luck. Does anybody knows how to fix this? Thank you

    I have been looking around for hours trying to find a clear simple solution to my question and have yet to find a good answer. I am trying to do a URL request in flash to my NOPCommerce site. I want to pass a GET value to the my .cs file which i'll then use that value to grab specific information and return it back to flash. How would I set up the C# or asp.net side of things? If anyone could give me an example of what I am looking for I would greatly appreciate it. I don't know if I am supposed to use a .aspx, .cs or .ascx file. Thanks, Brennan

  • Radio buttons + array elements

    I have a form that can be dynamically duplicated (with JS) so that the user can enter as much data as he wants. This works great for text inputs, because I just leave the name attribute the same (ending with a []) and then when the values are posted, it just returns me an array. Now I just realized that this doesn't work so well for radio buttons, because the names actually need to be unique for each set. But from the data standpoint, each set only returns one value, so retrieving the data from the POST data wouldn't be a problem, it just screws up the functionality of my form. There's no way around this, is there? I'm just screwed and I can't use arrays?

  • How can I catch connection requests in my framework?

    I'm building a framework (OSGi-like) where other parties can program a bundle for. But I want my framework to manage the QoS of the connection-requests that the other parties will do. The easy solution would be to ask them to use (or enforce them to use - although I don't know how) a specific ConnectionRequest bundle of the framework. The problem with this approach is that they wouldn't be able to use any of their own preferred libraries that is counting on the standard Java libraries to make a connection(request). So I wondered if there is a way in Java to catch all the requested connections, so I can add some code about my QoS handling, before its is sent of to the underlaying layer?

Process.php send all the data to mysql then returns back to the page using: <?php header("Location: /campaigns"); ?> On the page it returns to I want to display a message saying form submitted. Can I post a variable to the Location: /campaigns. And use the variable to display the message (or modal box)? and if so what would be the best way to do it?

If there are previous posts then the script will kick back a message saying you have already posted.     I'm trying to learn Express and in my app I have middleware that passes the session object from the Request object to my Response object so that I can access it in my views: app.use((req, res, next) -> res.locals.session = req.session next() ) But app.locals is available to the view as well right? So is it the same if I do app.locals.session = req.session? Is there a convention for the types of things app.locals and res.locals are used for? I was also confused on what the difference is between res.render() and res.redirect()? When should each be used? Thanks for reading. Any help related to Express is appreciated!

  • Post parameters are becoming null (at random)

    Hi, My web application is developed with Struts2 and it was working fine till recently. All of a sudden one of the modules has started malfunctioning. The malfunctioning module is 'Update Student details' page. This page has a lot of fields like 'schoolName', 'degreeName', etc . School 1: <input name="schoolName"> School 2: <input name="schoolName"> ..... School n: <input name="schoolName"> As mentioned earlier, the page was working perfectly fine till recently. Now, one/many of the values of 'schoolName', 'degreeName', etc are being received as "" (EMPTY STRING) on the server-side. For debugging, I used firebug and remote-debugging in eclipse. I find that the post-parameters are correct on the client-side. For instance, during one of the submissions the post-parameters were as below (i noted them from firebug). Content-Type: multipart/form-data; boundary=---------------------------2921238217421 Content-Length: 48893 <OTHER_PARAMETERS> <!--Truncated for clarity --> -----------------------------2921238217421 Content-Disposition: form-data; name="schoolName" ABC Institute -----------------------------2921238217421 Content-Disposition: form-data; name="schoolName" Test School -----------------------------2921238217421 Content-Disposition: form-data; name="schoolName" XYZ -----------------------------2921238217421 Content-Disposition: form-data; name="schoolName" Texas Institute -----------------------------2921238217421 Content-Disposition: form-data; name="schoolName" XXXX School -----------------------------2921238217421-- But on the server-side, the request params were as below: schoolName=[ABC Institute, Test School, XYZ, , XXXX School], "Texas Institute" was received as "" (EMPTY STRING) in this particular case. This is not happening consistently. The parameters that become NULL (or EMPTY STRING) seem random to me - during one instance, parameter schoolName[3] became null as illustrated above, parameter schoolName[2] became null during yet another submission, etc. At times, none of the parameters are nullified. The following is the list of the interceptors in the action definition. I could of course set up a cron job to run the script every five minutes, or run the script manually every time after tweeting, but neither of those is instant — and that’s exactly what I’m looking for.   • Creating a post-build step in Xcode 3.2

    I'm actually looking for a genuine "post build" phase - not the Run script stage. The reason for this is that I want to do some parsing of a target's build-state.dat which is where Xcode puts all of its build output. The problem is that this file isn't actually created until after the build has succeeded or failed, thus anything in the Run Script phase can't see it. Any clues? Thanks

  • jQuery Dialog causing buttons not to post-back

    I'm using the jQuery UI Dialog() function on an ASP.NET webform, on a particular panel. After Dialog() is applied, the buttons become useless and will not post back at all; I'm not even getting a Page_Load event firing, let alone any button events. Is the Dialog function messing with my button events? If so, is there a way to fix this?
