  Hi All, I am having a weird mind gogling problem. Sorry in advance, If I confuse you. I have following data 1 3 5 5 1 2 2 4 8 3 2 9 3 8 4 first column = source 1 second column = source 2 third column = result column First and second column will can create 3rd column and that 3rd column can be used in 1st or 2nd column to make a new 3rd column value. You can see in first row 5 was 3rd column and in 2nd row it was input to make 2 (3rd column) I am looking for a solutin that if it pass 3 it return me (1,4,5) rows and same for other digits. Solution tip can be either in java or php because I just want to get data from a old project to make it work ! Thanks !

• Bash PS1 settings - how to get the current folder back as the terminal title

  Hi all. I recently added these lines to my ~/.bashrc file to show the current branch if i'm in a git working folder, and it works nicely for that. However, what i've lost is that the current folder name used to be shown in the tab for the terminal i have open, and now it isn't: it always just says 'Terminal'. Can i get that back and still keep the git stuff? Here's the lines in question - it's the second one that's the issue, as commenting out just the second line fixes the problem. source /etc/bash_completion.d/git PS1='\h:\w$(__git_ps1 "\[\e[32m\][%s]\[\e[0m\]")$ ' I've been looking at explanations of the options for PS1 but can't see anything about the terminal window's title in there. • PHP Round function

  Is it possible to round a number where if it's 5 , just leave it , anything below 5 round down , anything above 5 round up? EX: 5 * 1.35 = 6.75 .... leave it 5.2 * 1.35 = 7.02 .... 7.00 5.5 * 1.35 = 7.56 .... 8.00 I've formatted with round($n,0, PHP_ROUND_HALF_UP) where $n is the product from the above calc , which leaves 6.75 but returns 7.02 for the next one. I also tried round($n,-1, PHP_ROUND_HALF_UP) which gives me the 7.00 on the second calc but then of course won't return a 6.75 for the first, instead it returns 680. This is a ticket markup calculation where the user enters the first number and is multiplied by the second. I actually remove the decimal because they don't want to see it, and they want this sort of customized rounding on the result. Thanks, Steve

• Calculating Divergent Paths on Subtending Rings

  I need to calculate two paths from A to B in the following graph, with the constraint that the paths can't share any edges: hmm, okay, can't post images, here's a link. All edges have positive weights; for this example I think we can assume that they're equal. My naive approach is to use Djikstra's algorithm to calculate the first path, shown in the second graph in the above image. Then I remove the edges from the graph and try to calculate the second path, which fails. Is there a variation of Djikstra, Bellman-Ford (or anything else) that will calculate the paths shown in the third diagram above? (Without special knowledge and removal of the subtending link, is what I mean)

  I have a thread, that processes incomming messages (endless loop). For this, I use a BlockingQueue (Java), which works as quite nice. Now, I want to add a second processor in the same Class oder method. The problem now is, that in the endless loop i have this part newIncomming = this.incommingProcessing.take(); This part blocks if the Queue is empty. I'm looking for a solution to process to queues in the same class. The second queue can only processed, it some data is coming in for the first Queue. Is there a way to handle tow blocking queues in the same endless loop?

• Table Disobeys W3C Box Model, Ie8 Ignores Fixed Table Width !

  Hi, I'm having hard time with tables and column widths. Update: I'm using XHTML Strict 1.0. The page is: http://www.pro-turk.net/try The first problem I have is, I have a column with a fixed width of 100px and 4px padding, but it disobeys my padding depending on the value. The column width (as the distance between two borders according to W3C Box Model) is 156 px even if padding is 0 or 4. Only the position of the text changes. According to W3C Box Model ( available at www.pro-turk.net/box_model.png ), borders and paddings aren't included in WIDTH attribute, so why does it render wrongly ? The second problem is, when you look the page I gave with IE8, the first cell in the second row has 150px fixed width, but ie shows it about 50% of the total table width regardless of what i say.

• nth-child doesn't respond to class

  Is it possible to get the nth-child pseudo-selector to work with a specific class? See this example: http://jsfiddle.net/fZGvH/ I want to have the second DIV.red turn red, but it doesn't apply the color as expected. Not only that, but when you specify this, it changes the 5th DIV to red: div.red:nth-child(6) When you specify this, it changes the 8th DIV to red: div.red:nth-child(9) It seems to be one DIV behind. There are only 8 DIV tags in the example so I don't know why nth-child(9) even works. Testing using Firefox 3.6, but in my actual production code the same problem occurs in Chrome. I'm not understanding something about how this is supposed to work, would appreciate clarification. Also, this will change the 6th DIV to red, but what I actually want is for it to change the second DIV.red to red: div.red:nth-of-type(6) And I don't understand why nth-child() and nth-of-type() respond differently, since there are only eight tags of the same type in the document.

• Transferring Data Directly between 2 Connections in Indy (TIdContext)

  ive a sever running TIdTCPServer, and Client Using Web Browser (or any other software) to Communicate, i dunno the protocol, but what im trying to do is to Send The Data between the client and another Connection (Both Connected to the same TIdTCPServer) for example the data sent by the first client is transmitted to the second client, and the data sent by the second client is transmitted to the first client, like a proxy (i cant really use a proxy server since its just this one condition) and the TIdTCPServer should still be receiving other clients and processing their data. i stumbled upon the first line of code, since TIdContext.Connection.Socket.ReadLn requires a Delimiter, and the Client's Protocol is unknown to the server. any ideas? thanks.

• Browser back button broken between hidden div's

  First of all, these pages will never be on the web but will be in internal memory. They are a group of linked documents---an ebook. http://www.anmldr.com/testdivs When I click on the link in the first div, the second div becomes visible and the first div is hidden. The problem is with the browser's back button. If you then click on the back button, the URL updates but the first div does not show again. How can I correct the back button so that the first div shows? The link from the second div to the first div works fine but it is the browser back button that I do not know how to work with.   Given two IEnumberables of different types, what is the best practice (considering readability and maintainability) for iterating over both lists to perform an action on all possible combinations? My initial solution was to use nested foreach loops, iterating over the first IEnumerable, and then within that loop, iterating over the second IEnumerable and passing the value from the outer and the current loop into the target method. Eg.: enum ParamOne { First, Second, Etc } List<int> paramTwo = new List<int>() { 1, 2, 3 }; void LoopExample() { foreach (ParamOne alpha in Enum.GetValues(typeof(ParamOne))) { foreach (int beta in paramTwo) { DoSomething(alpha, beta); } } } I tried to restructure it with LINQ, but ended up with something that had no obvious advantages and seemed less intuitive. A search here shows lots of questions about nesting foreachs to iterate over child properties, but I couldn't find anything about iterating over two distinct lists.

• Problem of using cin twice.

  Here is the code: string str; cinstr; cout<<"first input:"<<str<<endl; getline(cin, str); cout<<"line input:"<<str<<endl; The result is that getline never pauses for user input, therefore the second output is always empty. After spending some time on it, I realized after the first call "cinstr", it seems '\n' is still stored in cin (using cin.peek() to check), which ends getline immediately. The solution will be adding one more line between the first usage and the second one: cin.ignore(numeric_limits::max(), '\n'); However, I still don't understand, why is '\n' left there after the first call? What does istream& operator really do?

  [I'm sure this is not odd at all, but I need just a bit of help] I have two retain properties @property (nonatomic, retain) NSArray *listContent; @property (nonatomic, retain) NSArray *filteredListContent; and in the viewDidLoad method I set the second equal to the first (so now the retainCount is two, I think): self.filteredListContent = self.listContent; and then on every search I do this self.filteredListContent = [listContent filteredArrayUsingPredicate:predicate]; I thought I should do a release right above this assignment -- since the property should cause an extra retain, right? -- but that causes the program to explode the second time I run the search method. The retain counts (without the extra release) are 2 the first time I come into the search method, and 1 each subsequent time (which is what I expected, unfortunately). Some guidance would help, thanks! Is it correct to not release?

If a user only fills in the first field the second must be cleared before the form string is passed on and vice versa. • All Targets Not Being Called (nested Targets not being executed)

  I am using a two TARGET files. On one TARGET file I call a TARGET that is inside the second TARGET file. This second TARGET then calls another TARGET that has 6 other TARGET calls, which do a number of different things (in addition to calling other nested TARGETS (but inside the same TARGET file)). The problem is that, on the TARGET where I call 6 TARGETS, only the first one is being executed. The program doesnt find its way to call the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th TARGET. Is there a limit to the number of nested TARGETS that can be called and run? Nothing is failing. The problem is the other TARGET calls are not running. Thanks for any help you can provide. • DAO design pattern and using it across multiple tables

  I'm looking for feedback on the Data Access Object design pattern and using it when you have to access data across multiple tables. It seems like that pattern, which has a DAO for each table along with a Data Transfer Object (DTO) that represents a single row, isn't too useful for when dealing with data from multiple tables. I was thinking about creating a composite DAO and corresponding DTO that would return the result of, let's say performing a join on two tables. This way I can use SQL to grab all the data instead of first grabbing data from one using one DAO and than the second table using the second DAO, and than composing them together in Java. Is there a better solution? And no, I'm not able to move to Hibernate or another ORM tool at the moment. Just straight JDBC for this project.

  For my assignment we are suppose to make a clock. We need variables of hours, minutes, and seconds and methods like setHours/getHours, setMinutes/getMinutes, setSeconds/getSeconds. Now the parts of the assignment that I am having trouble on is that we need a addClock() method to make the sum of two clock objects and a tickDown() method which decrements the clock object and a tick() method that increments a Clock object by one second.   On my system I have two versions of Python (to call them I type python and python2 in the command line). When I use the first version of Python, I cannot import sklearn module but I can do it in the second version of Python. I would like to use the first version of python (because other modules are available there) and, at the same time, I would like to be able to import sklearn from this version of Python. My solution was to use: import sys sys.path.append('location_of_the_sklearn_module') To find the location of the sklearn module I started a python session (using the second version of python, in which sklearn works). The I type: import sklearn sklearn.__file__ As a result I got: /home/name/my_name/numpy/local/lib/python2.7/site-packages/sklearn/__init__.pyc In the session of the first version of Python I tried: import sys sys.path.append('/home/name/my_name/numpy/local/lib/python2.7/site-packages/sklearn') import sklearn Unfortunately it did not work. As a result I got: ImportError: No module named sklearn Does anybody know what I am doing wrong and if it is possible to reach the goal in the way I try?

• Cocoa Touch: Why doesn't UINavigationController render 'Back' button?

  When I push a view controller it animates properly and slides in, the only problem is that no 'Back' button is rendered up top.The back button is still there, I can still tap it, it just doesn't render on the screen. This behavior is identical in both the simulator and on multiple devices. Is this a known issue or bug? Using 3.1.3 of the iPhone SDK. More information: It renders it for further levels, just not on the second level of nav controller. So Main Page (No back button - OK). Second level page (back button, but doesn't render - not OK). Third level page (Back button there and rendering - OK).
