  • Google maps API V3 code to V2 help.

    - by abemonkey
    I've started working on a project to inject markers into a map with jQuery by looping through rows on a table in the page. After getting it working I realized that I was accessing the V3 API and using V3 syntax. I've been beating my head against a wall trying to get this working in google maps API V2. If someone could please take a look at my code and help that would be great! Thanks! You can see my little test in action at www.axtsweapons.com/maptest.html. Here is the JS code: <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { var latlng = new google.maps.LatLng(45.440000,-122.630000); var settings = { zoom: 12, center: latlng, disableDefaultUI: false, mapTypeControl:false, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP }; var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("map_canvas"), settings); $('tr').each(function(i) { var the_marker = new google.maps.Marker({ title: $(this).find('.views-field-title').text(), map: map, clickable: true, position: new google.maps.LatLng( parseFloat($(this).find('.views-field-latitude').text()), parseFloat($(this).find('.views-field-longitude').text()) ) }); var bounds = new google.maps.LatLngBounds(); var infowindow = new google.maps.InfoWindow({ content: $(this).find('.views-field-title').text() + $(this).find('.adr').text() }); new google.maps.event.addListener(the_marker, 'click', function() { infowindow.close(); infowindow.open(map, the_marker); }); }); }); </script>

  • Complex Types, ModelBinders and Interfaces

    - by Kieron
    Hi, I've a scenario where I need to bind to an interface - in order to create the correct type, I've got a custom model binder that knows how to create the correct concrete type (which can differ). However, the type created never has the fields correctly filled in. I know I'm missing something blindingly simple here, but can anyone tell me why or at least what I need to do for the model binder to carry on it's work and bind the properties? public class ProductModelBinder : DefaultModelBinder { override public object BindModel (ControllerContext controllerContext, ModelBindingContext bindingContext) { if (bindingContext.ModelType == typeof (IProduct)) { var content = GetProduct (bindingContext); return content; } var result = base.BindModel (controllerContext, bindingContext); return result; } IProduct GetProduct (ModelBindingContext bindingContext) { var idProvider = bindingContext.ValueProvider.GetValue ("Id"); var id = (Guid)idProvider.ConvertTo (typeof (Guid)); var repository = RepositoryFactory.GetRepository<IProductRepository> (); var product = repository.Get (id); return product; } } The Model in my case is a complex type that has an IProduct property, and it's those values I need filled in. Model: [ProductBinder] public class Edit : IProductModel { public Guid Id { get; set; } public byte[] Version { get; set; } public IProduct Product { get; set; } }

  • Extra text shown on oveflow: hidden

    - by TRiG
    I'm keeping the main content area of the webpage small, so that footer navigation can be seen "above the fold". This is done by javascript setting the main content <div> thus: sec.style.height = '265px'; sec.style.overflow = 'hidden'; And then using javascript to insert a button to change the style back to normal: sec.style.height = 'auto'; The problem is that the cut-off point of 265px (dictated by the size of an image which I don't want to hide) doesn't quite match the gap between lines of text. This means that there the tops of tall letters show as funny little marks. Is there any way to hide text which is partially showing in a <div style="overflow: hidden;">? Edit to add: Full javascript var overflow = { hide: function() { var sec = app.get('content_section'); sec.style.height = '263px'; sec.style.overflow = 'hidden'; overflow.toggle(false); }, toggle: function(value) { var cnt = app.get('toggle_control'); if (value) { var func = 'hide'; cnt.innerHTML = 'Close « '; } else { var func = 'show'; cnt.innerHTML = 'More » '; } cnt.onclick = function() {eval('overflow.' + func + '();'); return false;}; cnt.style.cursor = 'pointer'; cnt.style.fontWeight = 'normal'; cnt.style.margin = '0 0 0 857px'; }, show: function() { var sec = app.get('content_section'); sec.style.height = 'auto'; overflow.toggle(true); } } if (document.addEventListener) { document.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded', overflow.hide, false); } else { window.onload = function() {return overflow.hide();}; }

  • Using events in an external swf to load a new external swf

    - by wdense51
    Hi I'm trying to get an external swf to load when the flv content of another external swf finishes playing. I've only been using actiosncript 3 for about a week and I've got to this point from tutorials, so my knowledge is limited. This is what I've got so far: Code for External swf (with flv content): import fl.video.FLVPlayback; import fl.video.VideoEvent; motionClip.playPauseButton = player; motionClip.seekBar = seeker; motionClip.addEventListener(VideoEvent.COMPLETE, goNext); function goNext(e:VideoEvent):void { nextFrame(); } And this is the code for the main file: var Xpos:Number=110; var Ypos:Number=110; var swf_MC:MovieClip = new MovieClip(); var loader:Loader = new Loader(); var defaultSWF:URLRequest = new URLRequest("arch_reel.swf"); addChild (swf_MC); swf_MC.x=Xpos swf_MC.y=Ypos loader.load(defaultSWF); swf_MC.addChild(loader); //Btns Universal Function function btnClick(event:MouseEvent):void{ SoundMixer.stopAll(); swf_MC.removeChild(loader); var newSWFRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest("motion.swf"); loader.load(newSWFRequest); swf_MC.addChild(loader); } function returnSWF(event:Event):void{ swf_MC.removeChild(loader); loader.load(defaultSWF); swf_MC.addChild(loader); } //Btn Listeners motion.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,btnClick); swf_MC.addEventListener(swf_MC.motionClip.Event.COMPLETE,swf_MC.motionClip.eventClip, returnSWF); I'm starting to get an understanding of how all of this works, but it's all to new to me at the moment, so I'm sure I've approached it from the wrong angle. Any help would be fantastic, as I've been trying at this for a few days now. Thanks

  • Remove All Nodes with (nodeName = "script") from a Document Fragment *before placing it in dom*

    - by Matrym
    My goal is to remove all <[script] nodes from a document fragment (leaving the rest of the fragment intact) before inserting the fragment into the dom. My fragment is created by and looks something like this: range = document.createRange(); range.selectNode(document.getElementsByTagName("body").item(0)); documentFragment = range.cloneContents(); sasDom.insertBefore(documentFragment, credit); document.body.appendChild(documentFragment); I got good range walker suggestions in a separate post, but realized I asked the wrong question. I got an answer about ranges, but what I meant to ask about was a document fragment (or perhaps there's a way to set a range of the fragment? hrmmm). The walker provided was: function actOnElementsInRange(range, func) { function isContainedInRange(el, range) { var elRange = range.cloneRange(); elRange.selectNode(el); return range.compareBoundaryPoints(Range.START_TO_START, elRange) <= 0 && range.compareBoundaryPoints(Range.END_TO_END, elRange) >= 0; } var rangeStartElement = range.startContainer; if (rangeStartElement.nodeType == 3) { rangeStartElement = rangeStartElement.parentNode; } var rangeEndElement = range.endContainer; if (rangeEndElement.nodeType == 3) { rangeEndElement = rangeEndElement.parentNode; } var isInRange = function(el) { return (el === rangeStartElement || el === rangeEndElement || isContainedInRange(el, range)) ? NodeFilter.FILTER_ACCEPT : NodeFilter.FILTER_SKIP; }; var container = range.commonAncestorContainer; if (container.nodeType != 1) { container = container.parentNode; } var walker = document.createTreeWalker(document, NodeFilter.SHOW_ELEMENT, isInRange, false); while (walker.nextNode()) { func(walker.currentNode); } } actOnElementsInRange(range, function(el) { el.removeAttribute("id"); }); That walker code is lifted from: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2690122/remove-all-id-attributes-from-nodes-in-a-range-of-fragment PLEASE No libraries (ie jQuery). I want to do this the raw way. Thanks in advance for your help

  • Passing in defaults within window.onload?

    - by Matrym
    I now understand that the following code will not work because I'm assigning window.onload to the result of the function, not the function itself. But if I remove the parens, I suspect that I have to explicitly call a separate function to process the config before the onload. So, where I now have: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <HEAD> <script type="text/javascript" src="lb-core.js"></script> <script type="application/javascript"> var lbp = { defaults: { color: "blue" }, init: function(config) { if(config) { for(prop in config){ setBgcolor.defaults[prop] = config[prop]; } } var bod = document.body; bod.style.backgroundColor = setBgcolor.defaults.color; } } var config = { color: "green" } window.onload = lbp.init(config); </script> </HEAD> <body> <div id="container">test</div> </body> </HTML> I imagine I would have to change it to: var lbp = { defaults: { color: "blue" }, configs: function(config){ for(prop in config){ setBgcolor.defaults[prop] = config[prop]; } }, init: function() { var bod = document.body; bod.style.backgroundColor = setBgcolor.defaults.color; } } var config = { color: "green" } lbp.configs(config); window.onload = lbp.init; Then, for people to use this script and pass in a configuration, they would need to call both of those bottom lines separately (configs and init). Is there a better way of doing this? Note: If your answer is to bundle a function of window.onload, please also confirm that it is not hazardous to assign window.onload within scripts. It's my understanding that another script coming after my own could, in fact, overwrite what I'd assigned to onload.

  • How to check whether a user belongs to an AD group and nested groups?

    - by elsharpo
    hi guys, I have an ASP.NET 3.5 application using Windows Authentication and implementing our own RoleProvider. Problem is we want to restrict access to a set of pages to a few thousand users and rathern than inputing all of those one by one we found out they belong to an AD group. The answer is simple if the common group we are checking membership against the particular user is a direct member of it but the problem I'm having is that if the group is a member of another group and then subsequently member of another group then my code always returns false. For example: Say we want to check whether User is a member of group E, but User is not a direct member of *E", she is a member of "A" which a member of "B" which indeed is a member of E, therefore User is a member of *E" One of the solutions we have is very slow, although it gives the correct answer using (var context = new PrincipalContext(ContextType.Domain)) { using (var group = GroupPrincipal.FindByIdentity(context, IdentityType.Name, "DL-COOL-USERS")) { var users = group.GetMembers(true); // recursively enumerate return users.Any(a => a.Name == "userName"); } } The original solution and what I was trying to get to work, using .NET 3.5 System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement and it does work when users are direct members of the group in question is as follows: public bool IsUserInGroup(string userName, string groupName) { var cxt = new PrincipalContext(ContextType.Domain, "DOMAIN"); var user = UserPrincipal.FindByIdentity(cxt, IdentityType.SamAccountName, userName); if (user == null) { return false; } var group = GroupPrincipal.FindByIdentity(cxt, groupName); if (group == null) { return false; } return user.IsMemberOf(group); } The bottom line is, we need to check for membership even though the groups are nested in many levels down. Thanks a lot!

  • LINQ(2 SQL) Insert Multiple Tables Question

    - by Refracted Paladin
    I have 3 tables. A primary EmploymentPlan table with PK GUID EmploymentPlanID and 2 FK's GUID PrevocServicesID & GUID JobDevelopmentServicesID. There are of course other fields, almost exclusively varchar(). Then the 2 secondary tables with the corresponding PK to the primary's FK's. I am trying to write the LINQ INSERT Method and am struggling with the creation of the keys. Say I have a method like below. Is that correct? Will that even work? Should I have seperate methods for each? Also, when INSERTING I didn't think I needed to provide the PK for a table. It is auto-generated, no? Thanks, public static void InsertEmploymentPlan(int planID, Guid employmentQuestionnaireID, string user, bool communityJob, bool jobDevelopmentServices, bool prevocServices, bool transitionedPrevocIntegrated, bool empServiceMatchPref) { using (var context = MatrixDataContext.Create()) { var empPrevocID = Guid.NewGuid(); var prevocPlan = new tblEmploymentPrevocService { EmploymentPrevocID = empPrevocID }; context.tblEmploymentPrevocServices.InsertOnSubmit(prevocPlan); var empJobDevID = Guid.NewGuid(); var jobDevPlan = new tblEmploymentJobDevelopmetService() { JobDevelopmentServicesID = empJobDevID }; context.tblEmploymentJobDevelopmetServices.InsertOnSubmit(jobDevPlan); var empPlan = new tblEmploymentQuestionnaire { CommunityJob = communityJob, EmploymentQuestionnaireID = Guid.NewGuid(), InsertDate = DateTime.Now, InsertUser = user, JobDevelopmentServices = jobDevelopmentServices, JobDevelopmentServicesID =empJobDevID, PrevocServices = prevocServices, PrevocServicesID =empPrevocID, TransitionedPrevocToIntegrated =transitionedPrevocIntegrated, EmploymentServiceMatchPref = empServiceMatchPref }; context.tblEmploymentQuestionnaires.InsertOnSubmit(empPlan); context.SubmitChanges(); } } I understand I can use more then 1 InsertOnSubmit, See SO ? HERE, I just don't understand how that would apply to my situation and the PK/FK creation.

  • "Permission denied to access property 'href' from a non-chrome context" in JavaScript and OpenLayers

    - by Mark Iliffe
    This is really two questions one leading into the other. Firstly what does 'Permission denied to access property 'href' from a non-chrome context' actually mean? Secondly I am using overlays in OpenLayers and wish to change the opacity of said layers, this is where this error is being thrown the code of which is here... <input id='opacity' value="1.0" onChange="changeOpacity()"> Of which changeOpacity() is the following function... function changeOpacity() { var newOpacity = parseFloat(OpenLayers.Util.getElement('opacity').value); newOpacity = Math.min(1.0, Math.max(0.1, newOpacity)); OpenLayers.Util.getElement('opacity').value = newOpacity; for (var i=0; i<images.length; i++) { layers[images[i]].setOpacity(newOpacity); } } which throws the error at "var href = originalElement.href;" here... function mD(e) { //what is originalElement/srcElement/originalTarget? var originalElement = e.srcElement || e.originalTarget; var href = originalElement.href; if (originalElement.nodeName == "A" && href.match("http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/")) { href = href.replace('http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/','http://www.openstreetmap.org/api/0.6/'); if (gml) { map.removeLayer(gml); } //$("status").innerHTML = 'loading'; } gml = new OpenLayers.Layer.GML("OSM", href, {format: OpenLayers.Format.OSM}); map.addLayer(gml); gml.preFeatureInsert = style_osm_feature; var sf = new OpenLayers.Control.SelectFeature(gml, {'onSelect': on_feature_hover}); map.addControl(sf); sf.activate(); return false; } } Any help/ideas is great appreciated! I am using firefox 3.5.9 and firebug 1.5.4

  • basic javascript question on geolocation and googlemaps

    - by ade
    hello all, Im hoping that somebody can help me out on what i feel is an easy answer but I just cant get it to work out. Im trying to trap the geolocation lat and long and place it into the google maps api so far i have var myOptions = { zoom:7, trips:1, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP } var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("map"), myOptions); directionsDisplay.setMap(map); var request = { origin: 'newyork' destination: 'deleware', travelMode: google.maps.DirectionsTravelMode.DRIVING }; this works fine for what i want. how ever I want to be able to change Origin to the users lat long using the following script from google.maps.api. their code is: if(navigator.geolocation) { navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition(function(position) { initialLocation = new google.maps.LatLng(position.coords.latitude,position.coords.longitude); var placeMarker = new google.maps.Marker({ position: initialLocation, map: map, }); map.setCenter(initialLocation); }, function() { handleNoGeolocation(browserSupportFlag); }); } else { // Browser doesn't support Geolocation handleNoGeolocation(); } function handleNoGeolocation() { initialLocation = newyork; map.setCenter(initialLocation); } I want to pull out the navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition(function(position) { initialLocation = new google.maps.LatLng(position.coords.latitude,position.coords.longitude); and allocate it two 2 varibles, myLat and myLong. I then want to be able to change my orignal script from var request = { origin: 'newyork' destination: 'deleware', travelMode: google.maps.DirectionsTravelMode.DRIVING }; to var request = { origin: myLat,myLong destination: 'deleware', travelMode: google.maps.DirectionsTravelMode.DRIVING }; Does this make sense..? Im currently having a pig with it and as im not a JS developer its what i think should be a simple bit of coding that im losing the battle with.. any thoughts..?

  • javascript: detect if XP or Classic windows theme is enabled

    - by mkoryak
    Is there any way to detect which windows XP theme is in use? I suspect that there is no specific api call you can make, but you may be able to figure it out by checking something on some DOM element, ie feature detection. Another question: does the classic theme even exist on windows vista or windows 7? edit - this is my solution: function isXpTheme() { var rgb; var map = { "rgb(212,208,200)" : false, "rgb(236,233,216)" : true }; var $elem = $("<button>"); $elem.css("backgroundColor", "ButtonFace"); $("body").append($elem); var elem = $elem.get(0); if (document.defaultView && document.defaultView.getComputedStyle) { s = document.defaultView.getComputedStyle(elem, ""); rgb = s && s.getPropertyValue("background-color"); } else if (elem.currentStyle) { rgb = (function (el) { // get a rgb based color on IE var oRG =document.body.createTextRange(); oRG.moveToElementText(el); var iClr=oRG.queryCommandValue("BackColor"); return "rgb("+(iClr & 0xFF)+","+((iClr & 0xFF00)>>8)+","+ ((iClr & 0xFF0000)>>16)+")"; })(elem); } else if (elem.style["backgroundColor"]) { rgb = elem.style["backgroundColor"]; } else { rgb = null; } $elem.remove(); rgb = rgb.replace(/[ ]+/g,"") if(rgb){; return map[rgb]; } } Next step is to figure out what this function returns on non-xp machines and/or figure out how to detect windows boxes. I have tested this in windows XP only, so vista and windows 7 might give different color values, it should be easy to add though. Here is a demo page of this in action: http://programmingdrunk.com/current-projects/isXpTheme/

  • Encrypt/Decrypt ECB/PKS5/Blowfish between AS3Crypto & Javax.Crypto fails with padding error

    - by BlueDude
    I have a secret key that was sent to me as a file so I can encrypt some xml data using Blowfish. How do I access the key so that I can use it with AS3Crypto? I assume I need to Embed it using the [Embed] meta tag. It's mimeType="application/octet-stream" but I'm not sure if thats right. How do I embed, then reference this file as the secret key? The xmls that I'm encrypting cannot be decrypted on the Java side. Each attempt fails with this exception: javax.crypto.BadPaddingException: Given final block not properly padded. As a bonus, if anyone has experience using the lib to work with the Java implementation and knows the ideal mode/padding/IV to use that would be awesome. Thanks! //keyFile is an embedded asset. I was given a file to use as the key var kdata:ByteArray = new keyFile() as ByteArray; //Convert orderXML to Base64 var orderData:ByteArray = Base64.decodeToByteArray(String(orderXML)); //Cipher name var cname:String = "simple-blowfish-ecb"; var pad:IPad = new PKCS5; var mode:ICipher = Crypto.getCipher(cname, kdata, pad); //not sure if this is necessary. seems to be also set in mode pad.setBlockSize(mode.getBlockSize()); mode.encrypt(orderData); var transmitXML:String = Base64.encodeByteArray(orderData); //DEBUG: Output to TextArea storePanel.statusBox.text += "\n--TRANSMIT--\n"+transmitXML;

  • JQuery .submit function will not submit form in IE

    - by Sean
    I have a form that submits some values to JQuery code,which then which sends off an email with the values from the form.It works perfectly in Firefox, but does not work in IE6(surprise!) or IE7. Has anyone any suggestions why? greatly appreciated?I saw on some blogs that it may have something to do with the submit button in my form but nothing Ive tried seems to work. Here is the form html: <form id="myform1"> <input type="hidden" name="itempoints" id="itempoints" value="200"> </input> <input type="hidden" name="itemname" id="itemname" value="testaccount"> </input> <div class="username"> Nickname: <input name="nickname" type="text" id="nickname" /> </div> <div class="email"> Email: <input name="email" type="text" id="email" /> </div> <div class="submitit"> <input type="submit" value="Submit" class="submit" id="submit" /> </div> </form> and here is my JQuery: var $j = jQuery; $j("form[id^='myForm']").submit(function(event) { var nickname = this.nickname.value; var itempoints = this.itempoints.value; var itemname = this.itemname.value; event.preventDefault(); var email = this.email.value; var resp = $j.ajax({ type:'post', url:'/common/mail/application.aspx', async: true, data: 'email=' +email + '&nickname=' + nickname + '&itempoints=' + itempoints + '&itemname=' + itemname, success: function(data, textStatus, XMLHttpRequest) { alert("Your mail has been sent!"); window.closepopup(); } }).responseText; return false; });

  • Parsing Wiki XML Dumps ver0.4 just got tough

    - by syed
    Hello, I am trying to parse Wikipedia XML Dump using "Parse-MediaWikiDump-1.0.4" along with "Wikiprep.pl" script. I guess this script works fine with ver0.3 Wiki XML Dumps but not with the latest ver0.4 Dumps. I get the following error. Can't locate object method "page" via package "Parse::MediaWikiDump::Pages" at wikiprep.pl line 390. Also, under the "Parse-MediaWikiDump-1.0.4" documentation @ http://search.cpan.org/~triddle/Parse-MediaWikiDump-1.0.4/lib/Parse/MediaWikiDump/Pages.pm, I read "LIMITATIONS Version 0.4 This class was updated to support version 0.4 dump files from a MediaWiki instance but it does not currently support any of the new information available in those files." Any work arounds would help me get to the next level. Note: one may wonder why cannot we directly use SAX or STAX parser instead, wikipedia dump is a 25GB plus single file, stack/memory issues are obvious. Hence, the above perl script resolves this issue but currently I am stuck with this version problem.

  • jquery use return data from 2 functions in another function ---always get undefined. why ??

    - by user253530
    Function socialbookmarksTableData(data) is called by another function to generate the content of a table -- data is a JSON object. Inside the function i call 2 other functions that use getJSON and POST (with json as a return object) to get some data. The problem is: though the functions execute correctly i get undefined value for the 2 variables (bookmarkingSites, bookmarkCategories). Help with a solution please. function socialbookmarksGetBookmarkCategories(bookmarkID) { var toReturn = ''; $.post("php/socialbookmark-get-bookmark-categories.php",{ bookmarkID: bookmarkID },function(data){ $.each(data,function(i,categID){ toReturn += '<option value ="' + data[i].categID + '">' + data[i].categName + '</option>'; }) return toReturn; },"JSON"); } function socialbookmarksGetBookmarkSites() { var bookmarkingSites = ''; $.getJSON("php/socialbookmark-get-bookmarking-sites.php",function(bookmarks){ for(var i = 0; i < bookmarks.length; i++){ //alert( bookmarks[i].id); bookmarkingSites += '<option value = "' + bookmarks[i].id + '">' + bookmarks[i].title + '</option>'; } return bookmarkingSites; }); } function socialbookmarksTableData(data) { var toAppend = ''; var bookmarkingSites = socialbookmarksGetBookmarkSites(); $.each(data.results, function(i, id){ var bookmarkCategories = socialbookmarksGetBookmarkCategories(data.results[i].bookmarkID); //rest of the code is not important }); $("#searchTable tbody").append(toAppend); }

  • Calling AddEventListener in a loop with a variable element name

    - by user302209
    Hi, I'm trying to do the following: I have a set of images and select (dropdown) HTML elements, 30 of each one. I'm trying to use AddEventListener on a loop from 1 to 30 so that when I change the value of the select, the image src is updated (and the image changes). The AddEventListener function is this one: function AddEventListener(element, eventType, handler, capture) { if (element.addEventListener) element.addEventListener(eventType, handler, capture); else if (element.attachEvent) element.attachEvent("on" + eventType, handler); } I tried this and it worked: var urlfolderanimalimages = "http://localhost/animalimages/"; var testselect = "sel15"; var testimg = "i15"; AddEventListener(document.getElementById(testselect), "change", function(e) { document.getElementById(testimg).src = urlfolderanimalimages + document.getElementById(testselect).value; document.getElementById(testimg).style.display = 'inline'; if (e.preventDefault) e.preventDefault(); else e.returnResult = false; if (e.stopPropagation) e.stopPropagation(); else e.cancelBubble = true; }, false); But then I tried to call it in a loop and it doesn't work. The event is added, but when I change any select, it will update the last one (the image with id i30). var urlfolderanimalimages = "http://localhost/animalimages/"; for (k=1;k<=30;k++) { var idselect = "sel" + k; var idimage = "i" + k; AddEventListener(document.getElementById(idselect), "change", function(e) { document.getElementById(idimage).src = urlfolderanimalimages + document.getElementById(idselect).value; document.getElementById(idimage).style.display = 'inline'; if (e.preventDefault) e.preventDefault(); else e.returnResult = false; if (e.stopPropagation) e.stopPropagation(); else e.cancelBubble = true; }, false); } What am I doing wrong? I'm new to JavaScript (and programming in general), so sorry for the vomit-inducing code :(

  • WinDbg fails to find symbol file reporting 'unrecognized OMF sig'

    - by sean e
    I have received a 64bit dump of a 32bit app that was running on Win7 x64. I am able to load it in WinDbg (hint: !wow64exts.sw) running on a 64bit OS. The symbols for most of my dlls are loaded properly. The pdb for one though does not load. The same pdb does load properly for the same dll when reading a 32bit dump on a different system. I've also confirmed that the dll and pdb match each other via the chkmatch utility. I tried .symopt +40 but the pdb still didn't load. I did !sym noisy then .reload - WinDbg reported: DBGHELP: unrecognized OMF sig: 811f1121 *** ERROR: Symbol file could not be found. Defaulted to export symbols Any ideas on what to try to get WinDbg to load my pdb when reading a 64bit dump?

  • How can I make an AdvancedDataGrid re-display its labels when the results of the labelFunction chang

    - by Chris R
    I have an AdvancedDataGrid with a custom label function whose value can change based on other form status (specifically, there's a drop down to choose the time display format for some columns). Right now, I have this labelFunction: internal function formatColumnTime(item: Object, column: AdvancedDataGridColumn): String { var seconds: Number = item[column.dataField]; return timeFormat.selectedItem.labelFunction(seconds); } internal function formatTimeAsInterval(time: Number): String { if (isNaN(time)) return ""; var integerTime: int = Math.round(time); var seconds: int = integerTime % 60; integerTime = integerTime / 60; var minutes: int = integerTime % 60; var hours: int = integerTime / 60; return printf("%02d:%02d:%02d", hours, minutes, seconds); } internal function formatTimeAsFractions(time: Number): String { if (isNaN(time)) return ""; var hours: Number = time / 3600.0; return new String(Math.round(hours * 100) / 100); } ... and the timeFormat object is a combo box with items whose labelFunction attributes are formatTimeAsFractions and formatTimeAsInterval. The columns that have time formats have formatColumnTime as their labelFunction value, because extracting the seconds in that function and passing it in to the formatters made for a more testable app (IMHO). So, when the timeFormat.selectedItem value changes, I want to force my grid to re-calculate the labels of these colums. What method must I call on it? invalidateProperties() didn't work, so that's out.

  • Using cellUpdateEvent with YUI DataTable and JSON DataSource

    - by Rob Hruska
    I'm working with a UI that has a (YUI2) JSON DataSource that's being used to populate a DataTable. What I would like to do is, when a value in the table gets updated, perform a simple animation on the cell whose value changed. Here are some relevant snippets of code: var columns = [ {key: 'foo'}, {key: 'bar'}, {key: 'baz'} ]; var dataSource = new YAHOO.util.DataSource('/someUrl'); dataSource.responseType = YAHOO.util.DataSource.TYPE_JSON; dataSource.connXhrMode = 'queueRequests'; dataSource.responseSchema = { resultsList: 'results', fields: [ {key: 'foo'}, {key: 'bar'}, {key: 'baz'} ] }; var dataTable = new YAHOO.widget.DataTable('container', columns, dataSource); var callback = function() { success: dataTable.onDataReturnReplaceRows, failure: function() { // error handling code }, scope: dataTable }; dataSource.setInterval(1000, null, callback); And here's what I'd like to do with it: dataTable.subscribe('cellUpdateEvent', function(record, column, oldData) { var td = dataTable.getTdEl({record: record, column: column}); YAHOO.util.Dom.setStyle(td, 'backgroundColor', '#ffff00'); var animation = new YAHOO.util.ColorAnim(td, { backgroundColor: { to: '#ffffff'; } }); animation.animate(); }; However, it doesn't seem like using cellUpdateEvent works. Does a cell that's updated as a result of the setInterval callback even fire a cellUpdateEvent? It may be that I don't fully understand what's going on under the hood with DataTable. Perhaps the whole table is being redrawn every time the data is queried, so it doesn't know or care about changes to individual cells?. Is the solution to write my own specific function to replace onDataReturnReplaceRows? Could someone enlighten me on how I might go about accomplishing this? Edit: After digging through datatable-debug.js, it looks like onDataReturnReplaceRows won't fire the cellUpdateEvent. It calls reset() on the RecordSet that's backing the DataTable, which deletes all of the rows; it then re-populates the table with fresh data. I tried changing it to use onDataReturnUpdateRows, but that doesn't seem to work either.

  • StreamWriter Problem - 2 Spaces Written as Hex '20 c2 a0' instead of Hex '20 20'

    - by Daver
    I'm writing a bunch of strings to a file using a string writer but I've discovered a problem when I look at the file created in hex, and that is that one of the spaces (x20) is replaced with a non-breaking space instead (xc2 a0) when there are 2 spaces separating words. I don't know if this is a big deal but I would like to know if there is an easy resolution to this? Here's what I'm seeing: 20 c2 a0 53 57 45 45 50 Dump = "  SWEEP" But I would like it to always be: 20 20 53 57 45 45 50 Dump = " SWEEP" Note that the c2 a0 aren't visible here but the dump looks something like 'A.' when I use the Notepad++ Hex Plugin. Does anyone have any ideas? Cheers and Thanks In Advance; -Daver

  • How to Load Bing Map using Coordinates from Database?

    - by Lukasz
    I have latitude and longitude saved inside a database. I have the bing map loading and I can set the VELatLong using regular values but can't seem to be able to load them from the database. • javascript addEventListener onStateChange not working in IE

    - by user347456
    Hi, I have two colorbox popup boxes which show a youtube video in each. When they're finished playing, I'm trying to have them automatically close the colorbox window. This code below works perfect in firefox, but in IE I can't get addEventListener to work. I've tried attachEvent with no success. Can anybody offer any suggestions as to how to solve this? It seems simple but I'm exhausted trying to find a solution. By the way, this is my first time as stackoverflow and it's very impressive. var params = { allowScriptAccess: "always" }; var atts = { id: "ytplayer1" }; swfobject.embedSWF("http://www.youtube.com/v/VIDEO1&rel=0&hl=en_US&fs=0&autoplay=1&enablejsapi=1&playerapiid=ytvideo1", "popupVideoContainer1", "640", "385", "8", null, null, params, atts); var params2 = { allowScriptAccess: "always" }; var atts2 = { id: "ytplayer2" }; swfobject.embedSWF("http://www.youtube.com/v/VIDEO2&rel=0&hl=en_US&fs=0&autoplay=1&enablejsapi=1&playerapiid=ytvideo2", "popupVideoContainer2", "640", "385", "8", null, null, params2, atts2); function onYouTubePlayerReady(playerId) { if(playerId == 'ytvideo1'){ var ytplayer = document.getElementById('ytplayer1'); ytplayer.addEventListener("onStateChange", "onytplayerStateChange", false); } else if(playerId == 'ytvideo2'){ var ytplayer = document.getElementById("ytplayer2"); //ytplayer.addEventListener("onStateChange", "onytplayerStateChange", false); if (ytplayer.addEventListener) { ytplayer.addEventListener("onStateChange", "onytplayerStateChange", false); } else if (ytplayer.attachEvent) { ytplayer.attachEvent("onStateChange", onytplayerStateChange); } } } function onytplayerStateChange(newState) { if(newState == 0){ $.fn.colorbox.close(); } }

  • How do I detect if there is already a similar document stored in Lucene index.

    - by Jenea
    Hi. I need to exclude duplicates in my database. The problem is that duplicates are not considered exact match but rather similar documents. For this purpose I decided to use FuzzyQuery like follows: var fuzzyQuery = new global::Lucene.Net.Search.FuzzyQuery( new Term("text", queryText), 0.8f, 0); hits = _searcher.Search(query); The idea was to set the minimal similarity to 0.8 (that I think is high enough) so only similar documents will be found excluding those that are not sufficiently similar. To test this code I decided to see if it finds already existing document. To the variable queryText was assigned a value that is stored in the index. The code from above found nothing, in other words it doesn't detect even exact match. Index was build by this code: doc.Add(new global::Lucene.Net.Documents.Field( "text", text, global::Lucene.Net.Documents.Field.Store.YES, global::Lucene.Net.Documents.Field.Index.TOKENIZED, global::Lucene.Net.Documents.Field.TermVector.WITH_POSITIONS_OFFSETS)); I followed recomendations from bellow and the results are: TermQuery doesn't return any result. Query contructed with var _analyzer = new RussianAnalyzer(); var parser = new global::Lucene.Net.QueryParsers .QueryParser("text", _analyzer); var query = parser.Parse(queryText); var _searcher = new IndexSearcher (Settings.General.Default.LuceneIndexDirectoryPath); var hits = _searcher.Search(query); Returns several results with the maximum score the document that has exact match and other several documents that have similar content.
