  I try to mount my secure webdav on my Ubuntu notebook, I've added the following to my fstab: https://[URL] /mnt/[folder] davfs user,auto,uid=wouter0100,file_mode=600,dir_mode=700 0 1 But when I run the command sudo mount -a I keep getting: /sbin/mount.davfs: Mounting failed. Server certificate verification failed: issuer is not trusted I've tried very much different things, but I couldn't get it working.. It's signed by Comodo and valid (when I load it in Chrome it's okay).

• IE issues with my Website (Help me fix my CSS)

  I'm struggling geting my website to test fully positive in IE, the following problems keep arising, only in IE; My '#grey box' div displaying 200px to the left out of place, and it seems to move with the adjustment of the IE window size, does this in no other browsers, just IE. It creates this unnecessary horizontal scroll. I have the width set to pretty large, but have "overflow: hidden" and again, works fine across except for IE. On a few of my pages, the footer is somewhat cropped and out of place. It was tinkered by somebody else and I (and him!) cant trace his actions. The graphical connection manager also refuses to work thanks to the tinkering.   Prologue In the previous chapter we have see how to create DB records with EF, now we are going to Some Questions about Oracle.   ORACLE One characteristic from SQL Server that differs from Oracle is “Identity”. To all that has not worked with SQL Server, this property, that applies to Integer Columns, lets indicate that there is auto increment columns, by that way it will be filled automatically, without writing it on the insert statement. In EF with SQL Server, the properties whose match with Identity columns, will be filled after invoking SaveChanges method. In Oracle DB, there is no Identity Property, but there is something similar. Sequences Sequences are DB objects, that allow to create auto increment, but there are not related directly to a Table. The syntax is as follows: name, min value, max value and begin value. 1: CREATE SEQUENCE nombre_secuencia 2: INCREMENT BY numero_incremento 3: START WITH numero_por_el_que_empezara 4: MAXVALUE valor_maximo | NOMAXVALUE 5: MINVALUE valor_minimo | NOMINVALUE 6: CYCLE | NOCYCLE 7: ORDER | NOORDER 8:    How to get sequence value? To obtain the next val from the sequence: 1: SELECT nb_secuencia.Nextval 2: From Dual Due to there is no direct way to indicate that a column is related to a sequence, there is several ways to imitate the behavior: Use a Trigger (DB), Use Stored Procedures or Functions(…) or my particularly option. EF model, only, imports Table Objects, Stored Procedures or Functions, but not sequences. It takes the connection strings from the App settings, removing the meta data, that was created by VS when generated the EF model. And then, returns the next value from the Sequence. The next value of a Sequence is unique, by that, when some concurrent users are going to create records in the DB using the sequence will not get duplicates. This is my own implementation, I know that it could be several ways to do and better ways. If I find any other way, I promise to post it. To use the example is needed to add a reference to the Oracle (ODP.NET) dll.

I've set the VBox configuration: File Menu - Input - Auto Capture Keyboard but it looks like some times it captures it and some times it doesn't Do you know how to run win7 in fullscreen and have all windows key or alt+tab strokes captured by the win7vm only?

  I have a computer with 2 operating systems dual booted: One is Windows 7 and the other is Ubuntu. In the bootloader configuration, I removed an option stating time to select OS and I also set the default Operating System to Ubuntu. Now the bootloader is effectively proceeding into auto loading Ubuntu, while skipping itself. My problem is that I can not access my Windows 7 Operating System. Could someone give me a clue as to what to do?

If I boot my computer again, instead of select the first line in the boot menu, I select "previous linux version" and select one old version in the list then my computer boot fine. Now, is there a way to revert my linux to that version? Or I will always have to select this when I boot? Thank you very much

• Networking stopped working on Ubuntu

  I installed Ubuntu 10.04 through the Wubi installer (Funny, I installed it today and thought I would have gotten 10.10). I had a network connection and everything was working fine. I rebooted my coumputer a couple of times and then suddenly, I could not connect to the network and when I click the wireless/networking icon it says "Networking Disabled". I reinstalled Ubuntu and the problem went away. After a few reboots the problem returned. I have tried restarting to see if it would come back as well as a few other things listed below. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Tried to restart networking via /etc/init.d/networking: amato@ubuntu:~$ sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart * Reconfiguring network interfaces... • Pain removing a perl rootkit

  So, we host a geoservice webserver thing at the office. Someone apparently broke into this box (probably via ftp or ssh), and put some kind of irc-managed rootkit thing. Now I'm trying to clean the whole thing up, I found the process pid who tries to connect via irc, but i can't figure out who's the invoking process (already looked with ps, pstree, lsof) The process is a perl script owned by www user, but ps aux |grep displays a fake file path on the last column. Is there another way to trace that pid and catch the invoker? • uWSGI log file...permission denied to read file

  I have a server running Django/Nginx/uWSGI with uWSGI in emperor mode, and the error log for it (the vassal-level error log, not the emperor-level log) has a continual permissions error every time it spawns a new worker, like so: Tue Jun 26 19:34:55 2012 - Respawned uWSGI worker 2 (new pid: 9334) Error opening file for reading: Permission denied Problem is, I don't know what file it's having trouble opening; it's not the log file, obviously, since I'm looking at it and it's writing to that without issue. Any way to find out? I'm running the apt-get version of uWSGI 1.0.3-debian through Upstart on Ubuntu 12.04. The site is working successfully, aside from what seems like a memory leak...hence my looking at the log file. • Remote Desktop Connection Only Works One Way

  I can't get my desktop to connect to my laptop through remote desktop connection. Unfortunately I can only get my laptop to connect to my desktop (quite useless). Desktop: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit SP1 Windows firewall is off for all 3 profiles (domain / private / public) Remote desktop connection is installed and set to allow all connections Under running services is: Running Remote Desktop Configuration Running Remote Desktop Services Running Remote Desktop Services UserMode Port Redirector Running Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Stopped Remote Access Auto Connection Manager Stopped Remote Access Connection Manager Stopped Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Locator Stopped Remote Registry Stopped Routing and Remote Access Stopped Windows Remote Management (WS-Management) Laptop: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit SP1 Windows firewall is off for all3 profiles (domain / private / public) Remote desktop connection is installed and set to 'Allow Remote Assistance connections to this computer' Under running services is: Running Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Stopped Remote Access Auto Connection Manager Stopped Remote Access Connection Manager Stopped Remote Desktop Configuration Stopped Remote Desktop Services Stopped Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Locator Stopped Remote Registry Stopped Routing and Remote Access Stopped Windows Remote Management (WS-Management) It should be noted that the Laptop that I'm trying to connect to is an Alienware and might be running some wonky Dell settings. Also, the settings are slightly different for remote desktop connection as it's a Home edition of Windows and not Ultimate like my desktop. Finally, both computers are on the same Homegroup so that RDC can be accessed by one click through the network section of Windows. They're also on the same workgroup, MSHOME, just to see if that helps.

• Disabling DNS Registration on Server 2008 R2

  I want to tell a server 2008 R2 machine to NOT register it's IP addresses in DNS. I go into the Advanced tab on IPv4 and turn off "Register this connection's addresses in DNS" simple! But... the addresses are updated in DNS anyway! And actually the A record is eventually removed from the DNS server. I've confirmed that the checkbox is off by looking at it myself, and by checking the RegistrationEnabled registry value for that adapter. Both confirm that the registration is off. I've turned of DNS debug logging on the DNS server and I can see DNS Update requests coming from the server in question! This should not happen. What's even odder is that eventually (several hours) the A record for the server (which I added by hand!) is removed from the DNS server. I've also confirmed that scavaging is off on both DNS servers in the domain. Ideas? Edits: Per the comment: The server has static IP addresses. However, it's got two of them on one adapter. Since I'm in a VM (HyperV) environment I just spun up a second adapter and moved the second IP to the second adapter. I set the first adapter to auto-register (since that's the IP I want anyway) and the second adapter to NOT auto-register. We'll see if this is any better. Not any better. On a reboot of the server the registration was removed from DNS. Seems both cards are still contacting the server. Based on the DNS log the card that shouldn't register in DNS is registering a 'delete' request. And then the card that should register is registering an add request but that's ignored. I'm totally confused at this point.
