  • TRibbon's large button's image is not centered...any ideas? easy to demonstrate at design-time.

    - by X-Ray
    i'm using delphi 2009 (updates 1, 2, 3, 4). i'm seeing something quite peculiar. the image on the button is not centered in the button when i have a large button with a large glyph! rather than being centered, the left part of the glyph starts at the center of the button. a clue is that when i: go into the action editor and select the action use the ImageIndex combobox in the object inspector, the list is empty (normally i'd see the available images in the combobox). it seems as though there's an image width property i've failed to set or an imagelist not correctly configured. i've expected the glyph on a large button should be 32x32. try the following: paste these components into an empty form add a 32x32 image to the image list set the Action1 imageindex to 0 you'll immediately see what i mean! can anyone tell me why it looks that way? i find it interesting that the ribbon demo app doesn't show this problem. i even tried the same image. thank you! object ActionManager1: TActionManager ActionBars = < item Items = < item Action = Action1 Caption = '&Action1' ImageIndex = 0 CommandProperties.ButtonSize = bsLarge end> ActionBar = RibbonGroup1 end> LargeDisabledImages = img3232 LargeImages = img3232 Left = 376 Top = 184 StyleName = 'Ribbon - Luna' object Action1: TAction Caption = 'Action1' ImageIndex = 0 end end object Ribbon1: TRibbon Left = 0 Top = 0 Width = 693 Height = 147 ActionManager = ActionManager1 Caption = 'Ribbon1' Tabs = < item Caption = 'RibbonPage1' Page = RibbonPage1 end> ExplicitLeft = 232 ExplicitTop = 80 ExplicitWidth = 0 DesignSize = ( 693 147) StyleName = 'Ribbon - Luna' object RibbonPage1: TRibbonPage Left = 0 Top = 54 Width = 692 Height = 93 Caption = 'RibbonPage1' Index = 0 object RibbonGroup1: TRibbonGroup Left = 4 Top = 3 Width = 54 Height = 86 ActionManager = ActionManager1 Caption = 'RibbonGroup1' GroupIndex = 0 end end end object img3232: TImageList Height = 32 Width = 32 Left = 376 Top = 256 end

    Hi, I have an xml code something like this <root> <render> <head> <transition id="fadeIn" type="fade" subtype="" dur="3s"/> <transition id="fadeOut" type="fade" subtype="" dur="3s"/> <layout> <root-layout width="480px" height="360px" backgroundColor="0"/> <region id="rootRegion" dur="15s"> <region id="background" soundLevel="100%" top="0px" left="0px" width="480px" height="360px" z-index="0"/> <region id="foreground" soundLevel="100%" top="0%" left="0%" width="480px" height="360px" z-index="1"/> </region> </layout> </head> <body> <par region="background" begin="0s"> <img> <meta name="assetsource" content="stock"/> <src>http://s3.amazonaws.com/JivoxStockImage/000003296736.jpg</src> <width>102.49999999999999%</width> <height>97.5%</height> <left>0%</left> <top>0%</top> <clipBegin/> <clipEnd/> <begin>0s</begin> <dur>15</dur> </img> <audio> <meta name="assetsource" content="stock"/> <src>http://audio.mp3</src> <clipBegin/> <clipEnd/> <begin>0s</begin> <dur>15s</dur> </audio> </par> <par region="foreground" begin="0s"> <img> <meta name="assettype" content="user"/> <src>http://image.png</src> <width>20%</width> <height>20%</height> <left>41.5%</left> <top>25.555555555555557%</top> <begin>2s</begin> <dur>10s</dur> <id>BA6B7CF0BD9080CAD7A02199483224EA61A6E08A</id> </img> </par> </body> </render> <form> <map formId="BA6B7CF0BD9080CAD7A02199483224EA61A6E08A" type="image" label="Logo" /> <map formId="F635A9123082A15834389030382683C55EB29E75" type="text" label="Company Name" /> </form> </root> Here I need to match formId in 'form' with that of 'id' in 'render' and create the form dynamically in flex. I am able to get the xml file via the httpservice. All I need to know is how to match it and render the form dynamically!!

  • Flex: Double click event propagation on datagrid dependent on component order?

    - by MyMacAndMe
    I'd like to have a double click event on a datagrid in Flex3. The following example only works if the Accordion (id = "mustBeSecond") container comes after the DataGrid. Why is the order of the components important and what can I do to prevent this behavior? (The example does not work. If you change the order of "mustBeSecond" and "gridReportConversions" the example works fine) <mx:Script> <![CDATA[ import mx.controls.Alert; import mx.collections.ArrayCollection; [Bindable] private var dp:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection([ {qty:1,referer:'http://google.com'}, {qty:25,referer:'http://cnn.com'}, {qty:4,referer:'http:stackoverflow.com'}]); private function refererRowDoubleClicked(e:Event):void { Alert.show("double click"); } ]]> </mx:Script> <mx:HBox width="100%" height="100%"> <mx:Accordion width="200" height="200" id="mustBeSecond"> <mx:Canvas label="Navigation Box" width="100%" height="100%"> <mx:VBox> <mx:LinkButton label="First Link" /> <mx:LinkButton label="Second Link" /> </mx:VBox> </mx:Canvas> </mx:Accordion> <mx:DataGrid id="gridReportConversions" height="100%" width="100%" dataProvider="{this.dp}" mouseEnabled="true" doubleClickEnabled="true" itemDoubleClick="refererRowDoubleClicked(event)"> <mx:columns> <mx:DataGridColumn width="75" dataField="qty" headerText="Qty" /> <mx:DataGridColumn dataField="referer" headerText="URL" /> </mx:columns> </mx:DataGrid> </mx:HBox>

  • How can I get the post text to be beside the avatar and not below it?

    So I'm trying to create a forum with avatars, but right now the text is going below the avatars and not beside them. How can I fix this? Here is the CSS: .postbox{ text-align: left; margin: auto; background-color: #dbfef8; border: 1px solid #82FFCD; width: 100%; margin-top: 10px; } .postfooter{ width: 100%; border-top: 1px solid #82FFCD; } .postheader{ width: 100%; border-bottom: 1px solid #82FFCD; } .posttext{ width: 70%; text-align: left; border: 1px solid #82FFCD; } .postavi{ width: 20%; text-align: left; border: 1px solid #82FFCD; } and here is the html: <div class="postbox"><div class="postheader"> <b><span>CyanPrime!!~::##Admin##::~</span></b> </div> <div class="postavi"><img src="http://prime.programming-designs.com/test_forum/images/avatars/hacker.png" alt="hacker"/></div><div class="posttext">Let's test the Hacker Avatar.</div> <div class="postfooter"> [<a href="http://prime.programming-designs.com/test_forum/viewthread.php?thread=25">Reply</a>] 0 posts omitted. </div> </div>

  • Problem in vertical navigation menu using css sprites

    - by ShiVik
    Hello all I am trying to create to a vertical navigation menu using CSS sprites. I want to put in it a hover effect where the menu option slides out a bit. a:link { background: url(images/nav.png); background-position: -100px 0px; width: 150px; } a:hover { background: url(images/nav.png); background-position: -100px 0px; width: 160px; } So I am using the same image, I am just increasing its size to create a pop out effect. But my problem is that right now the image's size is increasing to the right. I want to keep the image's base aligned and its head should pop out. Here's my complete css code: #navmenu { left: 100px; margin: 0; padding: 0; position: absolute; top: 150px; width: 150px; z-index: 99; } #navmenu ul { list-style-type: none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; } #navmenu ul li { line-height: 1.5em; padding: 0px; } #navimenu ul li a { color: black; display: block; font-weight: bold; height: 26px; padding: 0px 15px 0px 0px; text-align: right; width: 150px; } #navmenu a:link, #navmenu a:visited { background: url(images/nav.png) no-repeat; background-position: -150px 0px; width: 150px; } #navmenu a:hover { background: url(images/nav.png) no-repeat; background-position: -150px 0px; width: 160px; } Don't know how much if I've put the problem correctly but can somebody help me out here? Thanks

  • Positioning SVG Elements

    - by Rob Wilkerson
    In the course of toying with SVG for the first time (using the Raphael library), I've run into a problem positioning dynamic elements on the canvas in such a way that they're completely contained within the canvas. What I'm trying to do is randomly position n words/short phrases. Since the text is variable, its position needs to be variable as well so what I'm doing is: Initially creating the text at point 0,0 with no opacity. Checking the width of the drawn text element using text.getBBox().width. Setting a new x coordinate as Math.random() * (canvas_width - ( text_width/2 ) - pad). Altering the x coordinate of the text to the newly set value (text.attr( 'x', x ) ). Setting the opacity attribute of the text to 1. I'll be the first to admit that my math acumen is limited, but this seems pretty straightforward. Somehow, I still end up with text running off beyond the right edge of my canvas. For simplicity above, I removed the bit that also sets a minimum x value by adding it to the Math.random() result. It is there, though, and I see the same problem on the leading edge of the canvas. My understanding (such as it is), is that the Math.random() bits would generate a number between 0 and 1 which could then be multiplied by some number (in my case, the canvas width - half of the text width - some arbitrary padding) to get the outer bound. I'm dividing the width of the text in half because its position on the grid is set at its center. I hope I've just been staring at this for too long, but is my math that rusty or am I misunderstanding something about the behavior of Math.random(), SVG, text or anything else that's under the hood of this solution?

  • Problem with Freetype and OpenGL

    - by Morgan
    Hey, i'm having a weird issue with drawing text in openGL loaded with the Freetype 2 library. Here is a screenshot of what I'm seeing. http://img203.imageshack.us/img203/3316/freetypeweird.png Here are my code bits for loading and rendering my text. class Font { Font(const String& filename) { if (FT_New_Face(Font::ftLibrary, "arial.ttf", 0, &mFace)) { cout << "UH OH!" << endl; } FT_Set_Char_Size(mFace, 16 * 64, 16 * 64, 72, 72); } Glyph* GetGlyph(const unsigned char ch) { if(FT_Load_Char(mFace, ch, FT_LOAD_RENDER)) cout << "OUCH" << endl; FT_Glyph glyph; if(FT_Get_Glyph( mFace->glyph, &glyph )) cout << "OUCH" << endl; FT_BitmapGlyph bitmap_glyph = (FT_BitmapGlyph)glyph; Glyph* thisGlyph = new Glyph; thisGlyph->buffer = bitmap_glyph->bitmap.buffer; thisGlyph->width = bitmap_glyph->bitmap.width; thisGlyph->height = bitmap_glyph->bitmap.rows; return thisGlyph; } }; The relevant glyph information (width, height, buffer) is stored in the following struct struct Glyph { GLubyte* buffer; Uint width; Uint height; }; And finally, to render it, I have this class called RenderFont. class RenderFont { RenderFont(Font* font) { mTextureIds = new GLuint[128]; mFirstDisplayListId=glGenLists(128); glGenTextures( 128, mTextureIds ); for(unsigned char i=0;i<128;i++) { MakeDisplayList(font, i); } } void MakeDisplayList(Font* font, unsigned char ch) { Glyph* glyph = font->GetGlyph(ch); glBindTexture( GL_TEXTURE_2D, mTextureIds[ch]); glTexParameteri(GL_TEXTURE_2D,GL_TEXTURE_MAG_FILTER,GL_LINEAR); glTexParameteri(GL_TEXTURE_2D,GL_TEXTURE_MIN_FILTER,GL_LINEAR); glTexImage2D(GL_TEXTURE_2D, 0, GL_RGBA, glyph->width, glyph->height, 0, GL_ALPHA, GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE, glyph->buffer); glNewList(mFirstDisplayListId+ch,GL_COMPILE); glBindTexture(GL_TEXTURE_2D, mTextureIds[ch]); glBegin(GL_QUADS); glTexCoord2d(0,1); glVertex2f(0,glyph->height); glTexCoord2d(0,0); glVertex2f(0,0); glTexCoord2d(1,0); glVertex2f(glyph->width,0); glTexCoord2d(1,1); glVertex2f(glyph->width,glyph->height); glEnd(); glTranslatef(16, 0, 0); glEndList(); } void Draw(const String& text, Uint size, const TransformComponent* transform, const Color32* color) { glEnable(GL_TEXTURE_2D); glEnable(GL_BLEND); glBlendFunc(GL_SRC_ALPHA, GL_ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA); glTranslatef(100, 250, 0.0f); glListBase(mFirstDisplayListId); glCallLists(text.length(), GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE, text.c_str()); glDisable(GL_TEXTURE_2D); glDisable(GL_BLEND); glLoadIdentity(); } private: GLuint mFirstDisplayListId; GLuint* mTextureIds; }; Can anybody see anything weird going on here that would cause the garbled text? It's strange because if I change the font size, or the DPI, then some of the letters that display correctly become garbled, and other letters that were garbled before then display correctly.

  • Access to multiple ItemRenderers within an AdvancedDataGrid

    - by user310340
    I've create an AdvancedDataGrid where most of the cell are based on an ItemRenderer. The custom ItemRenderer (SoundBox) extends VBox. This custom component allow for simple changes in the background color based on user clicking on a cell. Here is the snippet of the AdvancedDataGrid (nothing too advanced): <mx:AdvancedDataGrid id="fsfw" dataProvider="{fsfWordList}" sortableColumns="false" > <mx:groupedColumns> <mx:AdvancedDataGridColumn width="35" dataField="wordcount" headerText=" "/> <mx:AdvancedDataGridColumn id="myWord" width="150" headerText="TEST ITEMS"> <mx:itemRenderer> <mx:Component> <components:SoundBox width="100%" letterSound="{data.word}" /> </mx:Component> </mx:itemRenderer> </mx:AdvancedDataGridColumn> <mx:AdvancedDataGridColumn width="200" headerText="Correct / 2 points" dataField="sound1"> <mx:itemRenderer> <mx:Component> <components:SoundBox width="100%" letterSound="{data.sound1}" pointColumn="2"/> </mx:Component> </mx:itemRenderer> </mx:AdvancedDataGridColumn> </mx:groupedColumns> </AdvancedDataGrid> What I'm trying to do is change the background color of (let's just say I have one row of data) row1, cell1 to green when the user clicks on cell3 of row1. I'm unsure as to how I get access to those items (ItemRenderer/SoundBox) within the Grid. Any Ideas? THX!

  • Can I put a laptop Core i7 CPU in a desktop?

    - by Weezy
    One of the most important thing to me for a CPU is a good mix between speed and heat. For example five years ago I bought a Core 2 Duo 6300 (max TDP 65W): I put a big heatsink on the CPU, no fans (I do hate moving parts and noise) and it worked like a charm and very silently for five years (and it still work but five years later I wouldn't mind a faster CPU and a faster memory controller and more memory). I consider a max TDP of 130W unacceptable (like some high-end Core i7 have), for several reasons. So I was wondering: can I build a desktop and put a Core i7 CPU meant to be used in laptop in it? For example I was thinking about the Core i7 740QM (max TDP 45W [!]). Are these compatible with desktop Core i7 motherboards? (for example on NewEgg it says that the "CPU socket type" for the Core i7 740QM is PGA988, I've not too sure about what this is)

  • Python: combining making two scripts into one

    - by Alex
    I have two separately made python scripts one that makes a sine wave sound based off time, and another that produces a sine wave graph that is based off the same time factors. I need help combining them into one running file. Here's the first: from struct import pack from math import sin, pi import time def au_file(name, freq, freq1, dur, vol): fout = open(name, 'wb') # header needs size, encoding=2, sampling_rate=8000, channel=1 fout.write('.snd' + pack('>5L', 24, 8*dur, 2, 8000, 1)) factor = 2 * pi * freq/8000 factor1 = 2 * pi * freq1/8000 # write data for seg in range(8 * dur): # sine wave calculations sin_seg = sin(seg * factor) + sin(seg * factor1) fout.write(pack('b', vol * 64 * sin_seg)) fout.close() t = time.strftime("%S", time.localtime()) ti = time.strftime("%M", time.localtime()) tis = float(t) tis = tis * 100 tim = float(ti) tim = tim * 100 if __name__ == '__main__': au_file(name='timeSound.au', freq=tim, freq1=tis, dur=1000, vol=1.0) import os os.startfile('timeSound.au') and the second is this: from Tkinter import * import math import time t = time.strftime("%S", time.localtime()) ti = time.strftime("%M", time.localtime()) tis = float(t) tis = tis / 100 tim = float(ti) tim = tim / 100 root = Tk() root.title("This very moment") width = 400 height = 300 center = height//2 x_increment = 1 # width stretch x_factor1 = tis x_factor2 = tim # height stretch y_amplitude = 50 c = Canvas(width=width, height=height, bg='black') c.pack() str1 = "sin(x)=white" c.create_text(10, 20, anchor=SW, text=str1) center_line = c.create_line(0, center, width, center, fill='red') # create the coordinate list for the sin() curve, have to be integers xy1 = [] xy2 = [] for x in range(400): # x coordinates xy1.append(x * x_increment) xy2.append(x * x_increment) # y coordinates xy1.append(int(math.sin(x * x_factor1) * y_amplitude) + center) xy2.append(int(math.sin(x * x_factor2) * y_amplitude) + center) sinS_line = c.create_line(xy1, fill='white') sinM_line = c.create_line(xy2, fill='yellow') root.mainloop()

  • How to get the coordinate of Gridlayout

    - by Jessy
    Hi, I set my JPanel to GridLayout (6,6), with dimension (600,600) Each cell of the grid will display one pictures with different widths and heights. The picture first add to a JLabel, and the JLabel then added to the cells. How can retrieved the coordinate of the pictures in the cells and not the coordinate of cells? So far the out give these coordinate which equal height and width even on screen the pictures showed in different sizes. e.g. java.awt.Rectangle[x=100,y=100,width=100,height=100] java.awt.Rectangle[x=200,y=100,width=100,height=100] java.awt.Rectangle[x=300,y=100,width=100,height=100] The reason why I used GridLayout instead of gridBagLayout is that, I want each pictures to have boundary. If I use GridBagLayout, the grid will expand according to the picture size. I want grid size to be in fix size. JPanel pDraw = new JPanel(new GridLayout(6,6)); pDraw.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(600,600)); for (int i =0; i<(6*6); i++) { //get random number for height and width of the image int x = rand.nextInt(40)+(50); int y = rand.nextInt(40)+(50); ImageIcon icon = createImageIcon("bird.jpg"); //rescale the image according to the size selected Image img = icon.getImage().getScaledInstance(x,y,img.SCALE_SMOOTH); icon.setImage(img ); JLabel label = new JLabel(icon); pDraw.add(label); } for(Component component:components) { //retrieve the coordinate System.out.println(component.getBounds()); }

Here is what I have so far: pdf.bounding_box([0,pdf.bounds.top - 50], :width => pdf.bounds.width, :height => pdf.bounds.height-50) do pdf.text @article.title, :size => 30, :style => :bold pdf.text @article.content, :align => :left # image pdf.bounding_box([pdf.bounds.right - 250, pdf.bounds.top], :width => 250, :height => 250) do pdf.image image_path, :width => 250 end end The text goes right underneath the image. I tried doing this http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2085151/ruby-prawn-how-to-wrap-text-around-an-aligned-right-image but it didn't work. Help is appreciated, thanks.

  • image processing algorithm in MATLAB

    - by user261002
    I am trying to reconstruct an algorithm belong to this paper: Decomposition of biospeckle images in temporary spectral bands Here is an explanation of the algorithm: We recorded a sequence of N successive speckle images with a sampling frequency fs. In this way it was possible to observe how a pixel evolves through the N images. That evolution can be treated as a time series and can be processed in the following way: Each signal corresponding to the evolution of every pixel was used as input to a bank of filters. The intensity values were previously divided by their temporal mean value to minimize local differences in reflectivity or illumination of the object. The maximum frequency that can be adequately analyzed is determined by the sampling theorem and s half of sampling frequency fs. The latter is set by the CCD camera, the size of the image, and the frame grabber. The bank of filters is outlined in Fig. 1. In our case, ten 5° order Butterworth11 filters were used, but this number can be varied according to the required discrimination. The bank was implemented in a computer using MATLAB software. We chose the Butter-worth filter because, in addition to its simplicity, it is maximally flat. Other filters, an infinite impulse response, or a finite impulse response could be used. By means of this bank of filters, ten corresponding signals of each filter of each temporary pixel evolution were obtained as output. Average energy Eb in each signal was then calculated: where pb(n) is the intensity of the filtered pixel in the nth image for filter b divided by its mean value and N is the total number of images. In this way, en values of energy for each pixel were obtained, each of hem belonging to one of the frequency bands in Fig. 1. With these values it is possible to build ten images of the active object, each one of which shows how much energy of time-varying speckle there is in a certain frequency band. False color assignment to the gray levels in the results would help in discrimination. and here is my MATLAB code base on that : clear all for i=0:39 str = num2str(i); str1 = strcat(str,'.mat'); load(str1); D{i+1}=A; end new_max = max(max(A)); new_min = min(min(A)); for i=20:180 for j=20:140 ts = []; for k=1:40 ts = [ts D{k}(i,j)]; %%% kth image pixel i,j --- ts is time series end ts = double(ts); temp = mean(ts); ts = ts-temp; ts = ts/temp; N = 5; % filter order W = [0.00001 0.05;0.05 0.1;0.1 0.15;0.15 0.20;0.20 0.25;0.25 0.30;0.30 0.35;0.35 0.40;0.40 0.45;0.45 0.50]; N1 = 5; for ind = 1:10 Wn = W(ind,:); [B,A] = butter(N1,Wn); ts_f(ind,:) = filter(B,A,ts); end for ind=1:10 imag_test1{ind}(i,j) =sum((ts_f(ind,:)./mean(ts_f(ind,:))).^2); end end end for i=1:10 temp_imag = imag_test1{i}(:,:); x=isnan(temp_imag); temp_imag(x)=0; temp_imag=medfilt2(temp_imag); t_max = max(max(temp_imag)); t_min = min(min(temp_imag)); temp_imag = (temp_imag-t_min).*(double(new_max-new_min)/double(t_max-t_min))+double(new_min); imag_test2{i}(:,:) = temp_imag; end for i=1:10 A=imag_test2{i}(:,:); B=A/max(max(A)); B=histeq(B); figure,imshow(B) colorbar end but I am not getting the same result as paper. has anybody has aby idea why? or where I have gone wrong? • ActionScript applying rotation of sprite to startDrag()'s rectangle bounds

    - by TheDarkIn1978
    i've added a square sprite to the stage which, when dragged, is contained within set boundaries. private function swatchBounds():Rectangle { var stageBounds = new Rectangle ( 0 - defaultSwatchRect.x, 0 - defaultSwatchRect.y, stage.stageWidth - defaultSwatchRect.width, stage.stageHeight - defaultSwatchRect.height ); return stageBounds; } if the square sprite is scaled, the following returned rectangle boundary works private function swatchBounds():Rectangle { var stageBounds = new Rectangle ( 0 - defaultSwatchRect.x * swatchObject.scaleX, 0 - defaultSwatchRect.y * swatchObject.scaleY, stage.stageWidth - defaultSwatchRect.width * swatchObject.scaleX, stage.stageHeight - defaultSwatchRect.height * swatchObject.scaleY ); return stageBounds; } now i'm trying to include the square sprites rotation into the mix. math certainly isn't my forté, but i feel i'm on the write track. however, i just can't seem to wrap my head around it to get it right private function swatchBounds():Rectangle { var stageBounds = new Rectangle ( 0 - defaultSwatchRect.x * swatchObject.scaleX * Math.cos(defaultSwatchRect.x * swatchObject.rotation), 0 - defaultSwatchRect.y * swatchObject.scaleY * Math.sin(defaultSwatchRect.y * swatchObject.rotation), stage.stageWidth - defaultSwatchRect.width * swatchObject.scaleX * Math.cos(defaultSwatchRect.width * swatchObject.rotation), stage.stageHeight - defaultSwatchRect.height * swatchObject.scaleY * Math.sin(defaultSwatchRect.height * swatchObject.rotation) ); return stageBounds; }

  • WatiN NativeElement.GetElementBounds() - What is the unit of measurement?

    - by Brian Schroer
    When I'm testing with WatiN, I like to save screenshots. Sometimes I don't really need a picture of the whole browser window though - I just want a picture of the element that I'm testing. My attempt to save a picture of an element with the code below resulted in a picture of a block box, because elementBounds.Top points to a pixel position way past the bottom of the screen. The elementBounds.Width and .Height values also appear to be about half what they should be. Is this a WatiN bug, or are these properties in a different unit of measure that I have to convert to pixels somehow? public static void SaveElementScreenshot (WatiN.Core.IE ie, WatiN.Core.Element element, string screenshotPath) { ScrollIntoView(ie, element); ie.BringToFront(); var ieClass = (InternetExplorerClass) ie.InternetExplorer; Rectangle elementBounds = element.NativeElement.GetElementBounds(); int left = ieClass.Left + elementBounds.Left; int top = ieClass.Top + elementBounds.Top; int width = elementBounds.Width; int height = elementBounds.Height; using (var bitmap = new Bitmap(width, height)) { using (Graphics graphics = Graphics.FromImage(bitmap)) { graphics.CopyFromScreen (new Point(left, top), Point.Empty, new Size(width, height)); } bitmap.Save(screenshotPath, ImageFormat.Jpeg); } }

  • CSS vertical centering split background image not overlapping

    - by user295292
    is it possible to split 2 images vertically and when resizing the browser, it wont overlap but stay vertically centered? can the left image stay fixed so the right side of it won't cut off(overlap) this is what i have now, but when resizing the browser smaller, it pushes the left image underneath the right. rather have the images cut off on the outer sides and never overlap each other in the middle, make sense? #wrapper { width:1680px; max-width:1680px; height:500px; margin: 0 auto; } #left-image { width: 50%; position:absolute; left: auto; height:500px; } #right-image { width: 50%; position:absolute; right: 0px; height:500px; }

  • Drawing a TextBox in an extended Glass Frame w/o WPF

    - by Lazlo
    I am trying to draw a TextBox on the extended glass frame of my form. I won't describe this technique, it's well-known. Here's an example for those who haven't heard of it: http://www.danielmoth.com/Blog/Vista-Glass-In-C.aspx The thing is, it is complex to draw over this glass frame. Since black is considered to be the 0-alpha color, anything black disappears. There are apparently ways of countering this problem: drawing complex GDI+ shapes are not affected by this alpha-ness. For example, this code can be used to draw a Label on glass (note: GraphicsPath is used instead of DrawString in order to get around the horrible ClearType problem): public class GlassLabel : Control { public GlassLabel() { this.BackColor = Color.Black; } protected override void OnPaint(PaintEventArgs e) { GraphicsPath font = new GraphicsPath(); font.AddString( this.Text, this.Font.FontFamily, (int)this.Font.Style, this.Font.Size, Point.Empty, StringFormat.GenericDefault); e.Graphics.SmoothingMode = SmoothingMode.HighQuality; e.Graphics.FillPath(new SolidBrush(this.ForeColor), font); } } Similarly, such an approach can be used to create a container on the glass area. Note the use of the polygons instead of the rectangle - when using the rectangle, its black parts are considered as alpha. public class GlassPanel : Panel { public GlassPanel() { this.BackColor = Color.Black; } protected override void OnPaint(PaintEventArgs e) { Point[] area = new Point[] { new Point(0, 1), new Point(1, 0), new Point(this.Width - 2, 0), new Point(this.Width - 1, 1), new Point(this.Width -1, this.Height - 2), new Point(this.Width -2, this.Height-1), new Point(1, this.Height -1), new Point(0, this.Height - 2) }; Point[] inArea = new Point[] { new Point(1, 1), new Point(this.Width - 1, 1), new Point(this.Width - 1, this.Height - 1), new Point(this.Width - 1, this.Height - 1), new Point(1, this.Height - 1) }; e.Graphics.FillPolygon(new SolidBrush(Color.FromArgb(240, 240, 240)), inArea); e.Graphics.DrawPolygon(new Pen(Color.FromArgb(55, 0, 0, 0)), area); base.OnPaint(e); } } Now my problem is: How can I draw a TextBox? After lots of Googling, I came up with the following solutions: Subclassing the TextBox's OnPaint method. This is possible, although I could not get it to work properly. It should involve painting some magic things I don't know how to do yet. Making my own custom TextBox, perhaps on a TextBoxBase. If anyone has good, valid and working examples, and thinks this could be a good overall solution, please tell me. Using BufferedPaintSetAlpha. (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms649805.aspx). The downsides of this method may be that the corners of the textbox might look odd, but I can live with that. If anyone knows how to implement that method properly from a Graphics object, please tell me. I personally don't, but this seems the best solution so far. To be honest, I found a great C++ article, but I am way too lazy to convert it. http://weblogs.asp.net/kennykerr/archive/2007/01/23/controls-and-the-desktop-window-manager.aspx Note: If I ever succeed with the BufferedPaint methods, I swear to s/o that I will make a simple DLL with all the common Windows Forms controls drawable on glass.

  • WPF Browser is there, but invisible.

    - by Adam Crossland
    I am attempting to use the Browser control in a very simple WPF application, and it appears that while the browser is loading the page that I requested (I can mouseover images and see the ALT tags), I can't actually see anything else: Here is the XAML for the app: <Window x:Class="SmokeyBox2.MainWindow" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="SmokeyBox" Height="120" Width="510" ShowInTaskbar="False" SizeToContent="WidthAndHeight" WindowStyle="None" AllowsTransparency="True" MouseLeftButtonDown="Window_MouseLeftButtonDown"> <Border Background="#50FFFFFF" CornerRadius="5" BorderThickness="2,0,2,2" Padding="5 1 5 5"> <Grid> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="Auto"></RowDefinition> <RowDefinition Height="Auto"></RowDefinition> <RowDefinition Height="Auto"></RowDefinition> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto"></ColumnDefinition> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto"></ColumnDefinition> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <Label Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="0" Background="Transparent" Content="SmokeyBox" MouseLeftButtonDown="Label_MouseLeftButtonDown" /> <TextBox Grid.Row="1" Grid.Column="0" Name="searchText" Width="450" FontFamily="Arial" Foreground="DarkGray" Background="Transparent" FontSize="20" MouseLeftButtonDown="searchText_MouseLeftButtonDown" BorderBrush="Transparent" /> <Expander Grid.Row="1" Grid.Column="1" Padding="2 3 0 0 " Expanded="Expander_Expanded" Collapsed="Expander_Collapsed" /> <WebBrowser Grid.Row="2" Grid.Column="0" x:Name="browser" Visibility="Visible" Width="480" Height="480" Margin="2 2 2 2" ></WebBrowser> </Grid> </Border> </Window> So can anyone help me figure out why the browser isn't showing the Yahoo! home page like I asked it to? And while I am at it, I'm going to own up to the fact that this is my first WPF app, and I'd love to hear any general pointers on how to get rid of general noobie badness in my XAML. Thanks.

  • My ASP.NET Accordion will not animate panel changes when triggered by check boxes.

When I click the checkbox to change the panel, the panel just disappears instantly and the new one appears instantly, but I want it to be animated as if I clicked the headers. Is there a way to cause the animation to happen when force changing the visible panel?

  • Storyboard elements are not sized properly on the device

    - by Joel Fischer
    In the storyboard, I am placing a table view element into a subclassed UIView. The element is not appearing on the iPad device I am running it on the same as it appears in the storyboard however. This also happens for additional content that I place into the storyboard. Below is a screenshot as it appears in the storyboard, as well as UI width/height information. And here is the description of the UI file running on the iPad. https://gist.github.com/4323186 (embedding it directly into the post is giving me problems) You'll notice that the tableview is explicitly set at 178 width, and is showing up in the description as 276 width. My initial thought was that perhaps a cell was forcing the parent to be larger (I'm very new to iOS UI development), but drilling into that shows the prototype cell it appears that the width is defined by it's parent at 178. The image views and label also are appearing in the incorrect spot, as shown in the second image below.
