    I wish to share my hard drives between my two computers but I seem to be running along some sort of error... my windows XP Computer is picking up my "XGaming" hard drive but when clicked it says access is denied, despite there is no password set up(I followed this: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-7/share-files-and-printers-between-windows-7-and-xp/) I also tried to share my C and J drives on my windows XP computer but my windows 7 computer doesn't seem to even detect them!

    My Del Dimension E521 running Windows 7 puts itself in sleep mode each night -- despite the fact that I have chosen a power option that specifies NEVER Each morning I find the monitor blank and I have to hit the power button on the PC at which point Windows "resumes".     In Outlook 2010, if I accidently, hit left ctrl shift, my language changes. I keep hitting it and get a new language, but I can't get back to English. How do i reset back to my default language? Going to control panel - lanuage and region and hitting default there does not work. Also, how do i configure my outlook 2010 and all office products to NEVER change language? I only want to use English

    I'm currently using an SATA hard drive on my primary dev machine, but planning to upgrade to an SSD at some point soon. I use TrueImage on a regular basis to make backups, and to upgrade my harddrive without reinstalling everything. Will I be able to restore and boot onto an SSD? Will there be a performance hit or other issues to watch out for?

    How do I run a script when a drive is mounted under OSX ? My usecase is that I would like to automatically copy images from my USB memory/harddrive when it is inserted in my USB card reader, and when a DVD or CD is inserted I would like to copy it for storage in my media center. I've tried using Marcopolo but from what I can see it can only detect the presence of a certain USB device, not the presence of specific harddrive. What information will I need? 1) Will the Windows 7 installer ask me for my XP license key? or 2) Will the Windows 7 installer only run if it can detect an existing XP installation?   • firefox 12 turn off Inspect Element (Q)

    Go the new FF12 and I hit the "Inspect Element (Q)", i'm use to hitting "Inspect" and getting FireBug, now i get the FF inspection tool. It looks nice, but how do i turn it off? Not disable it, but stop inspecting the current page? I have to close the tab, when working on a large web application, have to sign back in and re-setup everything i was testing to get back to a normal view. Big waste of time.

    I was looking for a way to portfoward 0.0.0.0 default gateways and I found in a Microsoft page that I had to try the command route delete 0.0.0.0, my internet disconnected and I couldn't connect to the internet anymore... Does anyone have a solution? It's an ADSL Modem. I have: Windows 7 x32 4 GB ram A kanji modem that has this problem too... It's like Windows doesn't detect the wireless adapter, so it won't connect to the internet.

    Ok so i have a Mini USB bluetooth dongle it has not buttons on it but when i plug it in it shows as a keyboard input device... it was originally working but i think what happened was i put the bluetooth device into my pc turned on the radio and unpluged it and forgot and reformated and now since the radio is set to off it will not detect as bluetooth

  • No outbound connections for apache2

    I'm unable to hit my server from a browser on another machine (it gives a 'connection has timed out' error), although typing http://localhost or http://my-ip-here works from the browser within the machine. I can ping and ssh into the server from other machines; it just seems like apache is rejecting the port-80 browser connections. What can I do to further diagnose/fix this problem?     I have a Logitech MK250 keyboard I use with my Macbook. One day the "minor/mayor than" and the "back slash" keys flip their functionality, so I have to hit "backslash" to get a "minor than" symbol and press the "alt + minor than" key to get the "backslash". Is there any way to reverse this annoying behavior? I often switch to Windows, where the keys work the expected way, and I'm always missing the right key.

  • Windows "save" dialog listing files in reverse alphabetical order by default

    Imagine this: no matter which software, when I hit "SAVE", the file explorer dialog that appears is listing my files in reverse-alpha order. This happens by default on all folders and is just an annoyance because on each folder i have to set the view pane to Details then re-sort in alpha order. Browsing through my PC just using explorer works fine, this happens only on SAVE or OPEN dialog boxes (regardless of the software). Any trick to reset this to alpha order globally? thanks!

I think there will be no problem if the partition table of a smaller hard disk is going to be restored on a larger hard disk?
