  • Opening a file with a variable as name and checking for undefined values

(I translated most of it.) The makeUniqueFileName method makes a fileName based upon current time("minuteshoursdayOrder"). There are two problems here: when I enter an invalid product number, I still have to enter an amount even while my code says it should print the error directly after checking if there is a product with the given code. The second problem is that the writing doesn't seem to work. It always give's a "No such file or directory" error. Is there a way to open the ORDER file I made in the first sub without having to make $name not local? Or just a way to write in this file? I really don't know how to start here. I can't really find much info on writing a file that has been closed before, and in a different sub. Any help is appreciated, Harm

  • An array with values 4 days apart

    I have a piece of code that generates soccer/football fixtures. The idea is that for every round of fixtures, the date will be 4 days further than the last round. So round one will be 3rd may, round two will be 7th may, round three 11th may, etc. I am not sure how to do this? The code that currently makes the fixtures are as follows: $totalRounds = $teams - 1; $matchesPerRound = $teams / 2; $rounds = array(); for ($i = 0; $i < $totalRounds; $i++) { $rounds[$i] = array(); } for ($round = 0; $round < $totalRounds; $round++) { for ($match = 0; $match < $matchesPerRound; $match++) { $home = ($round + $match) % ($teams - 1); $away = ($teams - 1 - $match + $round) % ($teams - 1); // Last team stays in the same place while the others // rotate around it. if ($match == 0) { $away = $teams - 1; } $rounds[$round][$match] = "$user[$home]~$team[$home]@$user[$away]~$team[$away]"; } } The teams would be the total users in the league. So if there are 8 teams, there will be 7 rounds. And i will want each round 4 days apart. And that date will be within each fixture within each round. Any further information needed just ask!   • SetMatrix() does not copy all values to HLSL

    Hi, I want to use the contents of a vector of D3DXMatrices to my shader. m_pLightMatrices->SetMatrixArray(&currentLightMatrices[0].m[0][0],0,numLights); As we know the internals of a vector this poses no problems (as it is just a dynamic array). Now when I access this matrix in hlsl to fill up a struct I get this strange behavior: struct LightTest { float3 LightPos; float LightRange; float4 LightDiffuse; float3 LightAtt; }; float4x4 currentLight = gLights[0]; LightTest lt; lt.LightPos = currentLight._m00_m01_m02; //{0,0,0} lt.LightDiffuse = currentLight[1].rgba; //{0,0,0,0} lt.LightRange = currentLight._m03; //this gives me a value lt.LightAtt = currentLight[2].xyz; //{0,0,0} While debugging I see that my matrix is nicely filled with the variables I want. When I try to hardcode check what is in the struct I get all zero's, except the LightRange. As you can see I tried different methods of accessing the float4x4 but without any other results. Why oh why is hlsl not copying all my variables ?

  • Getting Values from fetched Core Data

    Hi there, Thanks to the wonderful people on this forum, I have overcome most of my Core Data woes. However one persists, and I'm certain it is a simple fix. I have a recipe app that parses an XML doc on load and puts the data in Core Data. Then I search that Core Data for particular recipes, ingredients, etc. Everything is working with one exception... I cannot do anything with the data I retrieve. For example, I search the core data for "eggplant" and get this at the end of the process: "<RecipeData: 0x6112a40> (entity: RecipeData; id: 0x6113880 <x-coredata:///RecipeData/tCDE9A0EE-DA3F-4BD0-AEF8-3C038586991D4> ; data: {\n ingredients = \"Eggplant|Cheese|Tomatoes|\";\n name = \"Eggplant Parm\";\n time = 40;\n})" How do I get the info out of there? I tried looping through, but that causes the app to crash: for (NSString* key in selectedRecipe) { id value = [selectedRecipe objectForKey:key]; NSLog(@"IN LOOP: %@", value); } Any suggestions?     Hello, I was trying to create a custom field type similar to lookup column just mine is filtered lookup column.Its working fine but I wanted to implement the same functionality like lookup column does,by that I mean: For e.g lookup column is having title of some list so it stores its value as SPListiem.ID#;title....but it shows only title when we r selecting or editing value in it. I am using listboxes and doing listbox.Items.Add(title); but how to get Id also and specially hidden from users like lookup column does....means I can do like this... listbox.Items.Add(title+"#;" + SPListitem.ID)... but I dont want this.... Any idea how to achieve this...

I'm trying to figure out a quick way that doesn't require creating a loop. Using the in_array function did not work, and I also read that it is quite slow. In the php manual someone recommended using flip_array() and then isset(), but I can't get it to work for a 2-d array. doing something like if($array['accessory']['id'] == 211) would also work for me, but I need to match all keys containing accessory -- not sure how to do that Anyways, I'm spinning in circles, and could use some help. This seems like it should be easy. Thanks.

    I'm trying to add elements to an array after subsequent trials, but so far only one value is being added to the array. I've Googled and searched stackoverflow, and I seem to be getting only half the picture unless if I'm implementing it wrong. There are about 40 files, which will be needed to be submited one after another, and then a value from each trial is stored in the database.     I have an MVC3 application in Visual Studio 2010. I have a view with several dropdowns that do javascript calls to populate dropdowns based on the selected value, some of which are disabled initially. That all works great with the initial state of nothing. If I however pass routevalues to the dropdowns from a redirect to this action, I do get the value set correctly but it's not enabled like it should be on the dropdown for example and when I post the form, the ones that are greyed out are not passed back on the form. How can I correct this?

Every Species is connected to a reference weight that changes from year to year The number of point for a capture is its Weight divided by the current reference weight for the species. One way to solve the problem is to connect a capture to SpeciesReferenceWeight instead of Species public class SpeciesReferenceWeight : Entity { public virtual Species Species { get; set; } public virtual int ReferenceWeight { get; set; } public virtual int Year { get; set; } } But in that way that Capture is connected to the implementation details of the game and from my point of view a capture is still a capture even if it's not included in a game. The result I'm aiming for is like: http://hornalen.net/fishbonkern/2007/ that I wrote a couple of years ago with brute force sql and no domain model. I would be very happy for all kinds of feeback on this issue.
