  • Business Intelligence goes Big Data

    - by Alliances & Channels Redaktion
• Integration of Magento with third party CRM, POS and ERP solutions

    - by SIA
Hi there, First of all I would like to Thank the Varien Company for providing the best ecommerce solution and free community edition. I am very excited since i started knowing about magento. I am a web developer and very much interested. I have some concerns about the Integration of Magento with other CRM,ERP systems. How is it possible to integrate Magento with any other Industry standard CRM and ERP system? How can i fetch the data from a ERP and update Magento database, like transactiona replication. Is this possible? And Whats the right way to do it? Also, How can i integrate Magento with POS? Is it possible to have bi-directional data update between Magento and Industry Standard POS? I hope I have stated all my doubts and made it clear. I would be thankful if someone guides me to do the integration, the Right way. Thanks and Regards SIA

    - by Fekete Zoltán
• HelpSpot to Fogbugz to HelpSpot integration

    - by James Ludlow
Does anyone have a nice example of integration between HelpSpot and Fogbugz? We're using HelpSpot as our customer facing software and ticket management, and then if a developer needs to work on a ticket the data will be pushed to Fogbugz. Obviously we can use the Fogbugz push API that Userscape provides, but this only allows you to specify the title of the incident in Fogbugz. Ideally I want to share title, assigned to, category and status in a two-way integration. Do most people just use emails between the two programs, or has anyone come across a nice third party app? Thanks in advance!

  • Java Cloud Service for developers

    - by JuergenKress
The advent of cloud computing has reinvented application development for many companies. “That’s the beauty of the cloud,” says Cameron Purdy, vice president of development, Oracle. “It dramatically improves developer productivity because they can do what they do best without having to manage complex development, testing, staging, and production environments.” The key is to find a platform that doesn’t impose proprietary restrictions or force developers to learn new tools. For example, Oracle Java Cloud Service is an enterprise-grade platform as a service for building and deploying Java EE, Oracle WebLogic Server, and Oracle Application Development Framework (Oracle ADF) applications. “It’s designed to be flexible and easy to use,” says Purdy. “And it is also a standards-based solution -it’s not proprietary and there is no cloud lock-in. Developers get instant access to an enterprise-grade environment for a simple, monthly subscription.” Oracle Java Cloud Service instances are created with just a few clicks, so businesses can create a rich application development environment within minutes. Running on Oracle WebLogic Server and Oracle Exalogic, the underlying infrastructure also leverages Oracle Fusion Middleware’s integration with common services. For example, instances come integrated and preconfigured with optimized Oracle Database and Oracle Identity Management configurations. Based on Oracle Enterprise Manager, the Oracle Java Cloud Service console lets customers easily manage and monitor their Oracle Java Cloud Service instances. The open nature of the Oracle Java Cloud Service lets developers integrate through Web services such as SOAP and REST APIs, as well as use their favorite developer tools, whether they are out-of-the-box tools such as Maven and Ant or the productivity features built into Oracle JDeveloper, Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse, or NetBeans IDE. The service allows for the seamless movement of applications between on-premise Oracle WebLogic Server domains and instances of Oracle Java Cloud Service within Oracle Cloud. This approach allows flexibility to mix and match the use of on-premise environments with cloud instances for development, test, and production environments. • Delays in .net app when connecting to oracle db using Oracle.DataAccess

    - by chris
I have a .net desktop app that connects to an oracle database. At times, there are very noticable delays. I ran a trace on the code, and it was always in the DataReader.Read(). I turned on sql tracing, and found the following, which corresponds to the delays I'm seeing: (2128) [23-MAR-2010 13:00:07:310] nsprecv: reading from transport... (2128) [23-MAR-2010 13:00:07:310] nttrd: entry (2128) [23-MAR-2010 13:00:24:655] nttrd: socket 676 had bytes read=2047 (2128) [23-MAR-2010 13:00:24:655] nttrd: exit (2128) [23-MAR-2010 13:00:24:655] nsprecv: 2047 bytes from transport There's about a 14 second pause in there. I'm pretty sure that there's not a problem in the code, but not sure where to look at next. Is there anyone out there with experience with oracle trace that can explain what's going on?

  • Python what's the data structure for triple data

    - by Paul
I've got a set of data that has three attributes, say A, B, and C, where A is kind of the index (i.e., A is used to look up the other two attributes.) What would be the best data structure for such data? I used two dictionaries, with A as the index of each. However, there's key errors when the query to the data doesn't match any instance of A.
