    I am trying to install VMWare Workstation 6.5.5 (64-bit) on Ubuntu 10.04 (64-bit), but at about 2/3 of the progress bar, it freezes where it says: Installing VMWare Player 2.5.5 Configuring... Interestingly, it is so frozen, that even after I hit cancel, it is still stuck. CPU consumption is at 0% and the command with which I launched the installer is: sudo sh VMware-Workstation-6.5.5-328052.x86_64.bundle Anyone has seen this before? Any idea why this is happening and how to solve this?

    In multi-player network games, what techniques exist to try to ensure that users are connecting with the official client application, and not some hacked client app? I realise there is probably no sure-fire way to do this, but rather I'm interested in techniques that can be employed to mitigate the problem.     Writing my game in libgdx, i arrived at the point when i need to save the player stats and the info of the levels, but in libgdx its not allowed to write the file inside folder of the application, only external (in the sd) is allowed, well, the point is that i want that my new file cat be seen by anyone, or if they see it how can i pass it to a binary file, so no one can see it. I just want to hide the file :P

    All works pretty good, I remember I didn't nothing unusual,just I installed a especific flash plugin to nuvola player, I can ear the sound with my headphones, but I can't I hear sound from the speakers. When I put in the terminal pulseaudio appears crash when trying to start the daemon I leave screenshot and in the System configuration in output play sound through is empty, in the past there appears 4 options I need reinstall pulseaudio???     I'm attempting to change / toggle the material that's applied to a BSP brush. I've seen where it's possible on static meshes, but I can't seem to get it to work on brushes. Below is an example scenario. The ground (BSP Brush) is covered in a stone material The player hits a trigger. A new "moss" material is applied to the brush, removing the old stone material. Any assistance you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

    We used to have all links in a normal way (thus with parameters?), we changed to Ajax loading cause we installed a music player. Here's an example: Old links: http://stereofox.com/post.php?idPost=5326 New links: http://stereofox.com/post.php#!idPost=5326 The snapshot you can get it by adding _escaped_fragment_= after the ?. All of these have the same content, and this image says what has happend to the site since we changed the linking system.

  • YouTube shows "Missing Plug-in" in window for 12.04

    After installing Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 32-bit, I have installed Ubuntu Restricted Extras, configured Medibuntu, installed Synaptic Package, Adobe Flash Player which came installed with Chromium which is the browser I installed. Also files to play encrypted DVDs. I haven't been able to locate the flashplayer file in /usr/lib folders which I assume should be there. Don't know if this is why I can't see videos at YouTube. Not sure where else to look.

I want to display data from an XML file so I added the XMLDataSource to my page, pointed it to the XML file, and then added the GridView and connected it to the datasource.   • What could cause a WMV to not play to completion in a browser?

    A realtor has had videos created for a community she is selling homes for, the people who made the videos gave them to us in WMV format. I can play these videos without any problem in Windows Media Player, VLC, and Quicktime (via Flip4Mac). I can play the videos from their location at videohomeguide.com in my browser without any trouble. However when I upload the files to our server the video stops at about the 1 minute mark in Safari and FireFox on Mac OS X Snow Leopard. I'm not sure if Windows browsers have the same issue because they are loaded using Windows Media Player. http://carolepaul.com/images/uploads/cottageslsjamestown.wmv <- our server, will fail at 1:09ish. http://www.videohomeguide.com/media/cottageslsjamestown.wmv <- should play to completion (3:27ish) The files generate the same MD5 hash on my desktop and on our server. I used WGET to transfer the files, always downloading from videohomeguide.com. Since the files are identical and are playable using VLC/WMP/Quicktime, and playable in the browsers from videohomeguide.com it seems to me that it is some sort of server config... maybe incorrect headers sent to the browsers?
