  • Spidermonkey pointing to a NSPR/DIST directory, HELP!

    Hey guys, I've been trying to cross-compile Spidermonkey and I am stuck with the problem wherein prtypes.h(NSPR) is unrecognizable. I alread triedy modifying Makefile.ref/config.mk/jsconfig.mk to point to a desired NSPR/DIS directory. I must have missed some basic steps because it still won't make things work. Do you have any ideas on how to properly modify the makefiles to point my spidermonkey to the right NSPR libraries? Thanks!

    I started using Java years ago and I've always found almost everything I need inside the standard API provided with JDK SE, with the exception of specific things that don't fit well inside a generic API, like GUI elements (graphs or so on) or advanced mathematical API.. So I was wondering: Which are the most important things that the Java API is missing? When I say "important", I mean either things that you have often needed, but have had to rely on custom libraries, or things that are usually are included in APIs, but not in Java's.

  • is there an scp/sftp client library available for flex?

    I need to send files securely from Adobe Air. In any other language, my first thought would be sftp/scp, but I don't see any libraries to do that in Flex. I'm new to flex, so I'm not sure where to look for code examples and repos. It looks like the raw socket interface is available, so I could write one if no good examples exist. Of course, I'm trying to avoid that.

    Quite-probably a silly question, as I don't know much about Java/Jython/JRuby/bytecode, but.. I stumbled across _why's unholy again today.. It allows you to output Python bytecode from Ruby code.. Basically allowing them to produce the same bytecode.. Jython outputs Java bytecode, as does JRuby.. Since these both compile to the same bytecode, does this mean you could potentially use any Python library from Ruby, and Ruby libraries from Python?

I need to compile some code(some code areas) as managed and some code areas as unmanaged(native) code and form a mixed mode class library as executable. What i need to mention between the lines of code so that whatever the part i need to be compiled as managed should compiled as managed and what part I need to be unmanaged(native) should be compiled as native?     Found two libraries Rebex (www.rebex.net) and QuikSoft (www.quiksoft.com) any comments on these based on experience or other ones I havent not found? Looking for components that will use SMTP to send a lot of emails for general email notificatins and bulk mailshots. Built in templating would be nice. Also need to receive emails from various accounts. Having the ability to validate and check bounce backs etc would be good for reporting (appreciating that this isnt 100% effective)

  • Identifier for win64 configuration in Qmake

    Is there a "win64" identifier in Qmake project files? Qt Qmake advanced documentation does not mention other than unix / macx / win32. So far I've tried using: win32:message("using win32") win64:message("using win64") amd64:message("using amd64") The result is always "using win32". Must I use a separate project-file for x32 and x64 projects, so they would compile against correct libraries? Is there any other way to identify between 32-bit and 64-bit environments?

  • C++ Linker Error SDL Image - could not read symbols

    Hi, I'm trying to use the SDL_Image library and I've added the .so to the link libraries list for my project (I'm using Code::Blocks, by the way). After doing this, when I go to compile, I get this error: Linking console executable: bin/Debug/ttfx /usr/lib32/libSDL_image-1.2.so: could not read symbols: File in wrong format What does this mean and how can I get it working? Clients will be sending votes for particular pieces of content, and receiving near-realtime updates of aggregated vote tallies from the server. The datastore needs to support: Storing the votes Summarising the votes in near-realtime Preventing multiple votes within an arbitrary time period (e.g. clients can only vote once for a piece of content every 1 minute) Something that already has client libraries for Node.js would be preferable.

  • Symbolizing plugins in Instruments' stack traces

    Instruments is able to properly symbolize my app's main bundle (as well as frameworks and libraries) in the stack trace of the extended detail view. However, symbols aren't resolved for plugins loaded during execution. Setting the build directory where the dSym files for the main and plugin bundles are located (as well as the app itself) in the "File Re-Symbolicate Document" menu item made no discernible difference in the stack trace. What must I do for Instruments to load symbols for the plugins?
