    Hello all. I am currently working on an application for managing a WPD device. I want to add an option to open the wpd device in windows explorer to view the saved files. Problem is that I can't find a way to open explorer pointing to the device's "folder". I have all information of the device (pnp device id, class name, etc.) Anybody knows a solution? What it does is that it will automatically open any file given as a command line argument and in this case print the content of that file. If no file is given it will instead read from standard input. while ( <> ) { print $_; } Is there a way to do something similar in Python without having to explicitly open each file?

It's easy enough to actually open the containing folder using: System.Diagnostics.Process.Start( *path to folder* ); ...but how do I go about actually selecting the target file within that parent folder? If I use the Process.Start method it actually attempts to open the file.

    Hi - I'm trying to open a file located on a networkshare by giving the anchor tag path = file://///servername/folder/file.docx This works in IE8 and i'm able to open the file in word, however in Firefox nothing happens. I believe it's due to some secruity settings in Firefox. I tried about:config and turning off the checkloaduri value. But it didnt solve the problem. Does anyone know how I can make this work in both IE and Firefox.

    I am trying to read the Excel Named range using OLEDB using the below code "Select * from [MyNamedRange1]" everything works fine only when the source excel sheet is not opened if it is open then i am not able to read the range names using OLEDB it simply hangs Where as i am able to execute the query "Select * from [Sheet1$]" even if the workbook is open or closed... Any work arounds for reading the range by OLEDB only i dont want to go for interop... I have too many ranges defined in the excel file

Say i have 5 file related to "bug xyz" but i want to start working on feature "abc". On the Commands Tab, select Toolbar, then Standard from the list Click Add Command... button Select File in the list and no Open Project ??? Can't seem to find it anywhere else either.
