  • WinXP keyboard input repeat rate problem

    - by Victor Sorokin
    I have problem similar to http://superuser.com/questions/33981/problems-with-kvm-switch-and-keyboard-repeat-rate-on-windows-xp: When I press and hold some key it's repeated random number of times, after that repeat stops and I need to release key and press it again to make repeat continue. If there's simultaneous sound playback and repeat is stopped, sound's stuck while I hold key with unpleasant drumming as if there's some audio problem. This issue is reproducible in WinXP Safe Mode. On the same config under Linux there's no issue. My config: List item PS/2 Logitech Keyboard USB Mouse MB M3A/H-HDMI WinXP Pro English SP2 with added Russian layout (WinXP loads via GRUB2) Realtek audio drivers for AC97 Thanks for your suggestions J

  • Is it possible to run an ng-switch directly on a select > option

    - by Asok
    Has anyone been able to run an ng-switch on a <select> -> <option> tag, like so?: <select ng-model="form.permitLocality" ng-switch on="localityTypeRadio"> <option ng-switch-when="County" ng-repeat="county in countyList"> {{ county.name }} </option> <option ng-switch-when="City" ng-repeat="city in cityList"> {{ city.name }} </option> <option ng-switch-when="Town" ng-repeat="town in townList"> {{ town.name }} </option> </select> I am not getting any errors or any options (all values verified), I just thought it would save me a couple lines and thought I'd try it. Here is my selector, in case you're curious (value verified): <label class="radio inline"> <input type="radio" name="localityTypeRadio" ng-model="localityTypeRadio" value="County"> County </label> <label class="radio inline"> <input type="radio" name="localityTypeRadio" ng-model="localityTypeRadio" value="City"> City </label> <label class="radio inline"> <input type="radio" name="localityTypeRadio" ng-model="localityTypeRadio" value="Town"> Town </label> This is not a big deal, just didn't know if this was a limitation / not recommended with an ng-switch EDIT I was mistaken when I initially said that nothing was happening (browser caching), there appears to be the correct number of options but the source code shows nothing but white space: <select ng-model="form.permitLocality" class="input-block-level ng-pristine ng-valid" ng-switch="" on="localityTypeRadio" ng-hide="form.permitLocality.length"><option value="? string: ?"></option> <!--   • C# Windows Media Player - Repeat single song in a playlist

    - by Professor Mustard
    I have a PlayList loaded into my WMP instance, and I want it to loop just one song. Everything I've Googled up so far tells me to do this: private AxWindowsMediaPlayer wmp; wmp.settings.setMode("loop", true); However, this only seems to make the entire PlayList repeat. The behavior I want is that, if I enable "repeat" when song 5 in the PlayList is playing, then song 5 will keep automatically repeat when it finishes (instead of proceeding to song 6). Most car MP3 players already work this way; is there a nice native way to do this in my C# program, or will I have to devise a "hack" solution, like intercepting the event that fires when the next song is loaded?

  • CSS repeat pattern with linear gradient

    - by luca
    I'm on my first approach with photoshop patterns.I'm buildin a webpage where I want to use my pattern to give a nice effect to my webpage background. The pattern I found is 120x120 px If I was done here I should use this css: background-imag:url(mypattern.jpg); background-repeat:repeat; But Im not done.Id like to *add to my page's background a linear gradient(dir=top/down col=light-blue/green) with the pattern fill layer on top of it, with blending mode=darken *. This is the final effect: I come to the point. QUESTION: Combining linear vertical-gradient effect and my 120x120 pattern is it possible to find a pattern that I could use to repeat itself endlessly both vertical and horizontal??which is a common solution in this case? Hope It's clear thanks Luca

  • angular, try to display object in ng-repeat fails

    - by Simone M
    i'm writing an mobile application in javascript with angularJS and ionicframework (last beta v.11), i create dinamically an object and want to display all objects inside in a ng-repeat. Why nr-repeat don't display anything? This is screen from my object: I use this code for put values in scope: $scope.distanceSuppliers = myCar; And this is the code in html: <ion-item ng-repeat="(id, supplier) in distanceSuppliers"> <div class="items item-button-right" ng-click="openDetails(id)"> {{supplier.name}}<br /> {{supplier.address}}<br /> </div> </ion-item> This is my complete code for JS: .controller('suppliers', function($scope, cw_db, $ionicPopup, $ionicActionSheet, appdelegate, $rootScope, $firebase, $location, $ionicLoading, cw_position) { $ionicLoading.show({ template: 'Updating data..' }); var geocoder; var tot = 0; var done = 0; geocoder = new google.maps.Geocoder(); cw_db.getData(cw_db.getSuppliers(), "", function(suppliers) { cw_position.getPosition(function (error, position) { suppliers.on('value', function(supp) { $scope.distanceSuppliers = {}; tot = 0; done = 0; supp.forEach(function(childSnapshot) { tot++; var childData = childSnapshot.val(); if (childData.address) { calculateDistance(childData, position.coords.latitude, position.coords.longitude); } }); }); $ionicLoading.hide(); }); }); function calculateDistance(childData, usrLat, usrLon) { var service = new google.maps.DistanceMatrixService(); service.getDistanceMatrix( { origins: [new google.maps.LatLng(usrLat, usrLon)], destinations: [childData.address], travelMode: google.maps.TravelMode.DRIVING, unitSystem: google.maps.UnitSystem.METRIC, avoidHighways: false, avoidTolls: false }, function(response, status) { if (status != google.maps.DistanceMatrixStatus.OK) { alert('Error was: ' + status); } else { done++; var results = response.rows[0].elements; childData.distance = results[0].distance.value; $scope.distanceSuppliers.push(childData); if (done == tot) { console.log($scope.distanceSuppliers); } } }); } $scope.openDetails = function(index) { //appdelegate.setCallId(index); //$location.path("/app/supplierDetails"); } }) what's wrong?

  • Display image background fully for last repeat in a div

    - by Stiggler
    I have a 700x300 background repeating seamlessly under the main content-div. Now I'd like to attach a div at the bottom of the content-div, containing a continuation-to-end of the background image, connecting seamlessly with the background above it. Due to the nature of the pattern, unless the full 300px height of the background image is visible in the last repeat of the content-div's backround, the background in the div below won't seamlessly connect. Basically, I need the content div's height to be a multiple of 300px under all circumstances. What's a good approach to this sort of problem? I've tried resizing the content-div on loading the page, but this only works as long as the content div doesn't contain any resizing, dynamic content, which is not my case: function adjustContentHeight() { // Setting content div's height to nearest upper multiple of column backgrounds height, // forcing it not to be cut-off when repeated. var contentBgHeight = 300; var contentHeight = $("#content").height(); var adjustedHeight = Math.ceil(contentHeight / contentBgHeight); $("#content").height(adjustedHeight * contentBgHeight); } $(document).ready(adjustContentHeight); What I'm looking for there is a way to respond to a div resizing event, but there doesn't seem to be such a thing. Also, please assume I have no access to the JS controlling the resizing of content in the content-div, though this is potentially a way of solving the problem. Another potential solution I was thinking off was to offset the background image in the bottom div by a certain amount depending on the height of the content-div. Again, the missing piece seems to be the ability to respond to a resize event.

  • Repeat a part of spritesheet as background

    - by Moiblpadde
    So I'm trying to repeat a part of my spritesheet as a background (js, canvas). My code so far: var canvas = $("#board")[0], ctx = canvas.getContext("2d"), sprite = new Image(); sprite.src = "spritesheet.png"; sprite.onload = function(){ ctx.fillStyle = ctx.createPattern(spriteBg, "repeat"); ctx.fillRect(0, 25, 500, 500); } This is fine, but as you can see, it repeat the whole sprite, not just a part of it, and I just can't figure out how to do it D:

  • Do applescript repeat loops reflect changes instantly?

    - by user1159454
    I'm making a script to open multiple folders in a directory, and it's not working as planned. I've tried outlining it and walking through the steps one by one pretending I'm the computer executing it but when I run it the outcome is very different. It uses repeat and repeat with a lot. The repeat repeats for as long as there is ANYTHING in a certain array (I mean List) and the repeat with is INSIDE of the first repeat, which repeats it's own loop with everything in the array at that time. Now, one of the actions of the repeat with loop is to change the array. Which I think would change the loop would it not? Example (foldList is A, B, C) repeat until {} repeat with folder_name in foldList do something set foldList to 1, 2, 3 end repeat end repeat What I would THINK that does is iterate through the first loop as "A", but before hitting the end it would change foldList to 1, 2, 3. So instead of going through the next loop as "B" I'd think it would go as "1" instead. But if it did that then I don't think my manual walkthrough would be off by so much. So I'm under the assumption that in Applescript when you're in a repeat with, regardless of changing the List you WILL end that loop on the last item of the first List (before the list was replaced.) Is this right?

  • LINQ and the use of Repeat and Range operator

    - by vik20000in
    LINQ is also very useful when it comes to generation of range or repetition of data.  We can generate a range of data with the help of the range method.     var numbers =         from n in Enumerable.Range(100, 50)         select new {Number = n, OddEven = n % 2 == 1 ? "odd" : "even"}; The above query will generate 50 records where the record will start from 100 till 149. The query also determines if the number is odd or even. But if we want to generate the same number for multiple times then we can use the Repeat method.     var numbers = Enumerable.Repeat(7, 10); The above query will produce a list with 10 items having the value 7. • How can I increase Emacs key repeat rate in OS X Mountain Lion

    - by Rob Jones
    Emacs does not seem to respect the OS's key repeat rate. I'm using emacs in the terminal. I've set the repeat rate to as fast as possible by directly editing the settings in the following file (I restarted after making the change): open ~/Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist The rest of the system observes the repeat rate. The terminal works as expected, as does vim. But, when I use emacs I still get the annoyingly slow repeat rate.

  • css: make background repeat-y with growing child content?

    - by mikemikemike
    I Have a three column layout. The center div is a container which holds all of my content. The outer columns is just a .png that fades into the body's background (left and right respectively). I want the .png to repeat-y to grow with the center container's content. It will only print the image once, and ignores the repeat-y. If I specify a height to the outside columns, it will print, but only to the specified height. I tried height: 100%, which does not work. Here is my code: #ultra_contain { text-align:left; width:900px; padding: 0px; position:relative; margin:0px auto; margin-top:0px; /*border:1px dashed #996;*/ } #gradientleft { float:left; position:relative; background: url("../i/gradient_left.png") repeat-y; /*border:1px dashed #996;*/ } #gradientright { float:right; position:relative; background: url("../i/gradient_right.png") repeat-y; /*border:1px dashed #996;*/ } #container { text-align:left; width:700px; position:relative; margin:5px auto; margin-top:0px; background:#fff; /*border:1px dashed #996;*/ }

  • Do Repeat Yourself in Unit Tests

    - by João Angelo
    Don’t get me wrong I’m a big supporter of the DRY (Don’t Repeat Yourself) Principle except however when it comes to unit tests. Why? Well, in my opinion a unit test should be a self-contained group of actions with the intent to test a very specific piece of code and should not depend on externals shared with other unit tests. In a typical unit test we can divide its code in two major groups: Preparation of preconditions for the code under test; Invocation of the code under test. It’s in the first group that you are tempted to refactor common code in several unit tests into helper methods that can then be called in each one of them. Another way to not duplicate code is to use the built-in infrastructure of some unit test frameworks such as SetUp/TearDown methods that automatically run before and after each unit test. I must admit that in the past I was guilty of both charges but what at first seemed a good idea since I was removing code duplication turnout to offer no added value and even complicate the process when a given test fails. We love unit tests because of their rapid feedback when something goes wrong. However, this feedback requires most of the times reading the code for the failed test. Given this, what do you prefer? To read a single method or wander through several methods like SetUp/TearDown and private common methods. I say it again, do repeat yourself in unit tests. It may feel wrong at first but I bet you won’t regret it later.

  • Rotate to a set degree then reverse and repeat in Unity

    - by Ryan
    and thank you for your time. I'm making my first project in Unity, a simple game where touching objects adds points to the players score. I'd like the objects to have a pleasant back and forth swaying animation on the Z axis. Nodding to the right 30 degrees, then to the left 30 degrees, on and on. Here's what I've got... public class Rotator : MonoBehaviour { void Update () { transform.Rotate(new Vector3(0,0,12)*Time.deltaTime); } } This gives me a nice slow rotation. But I am clueless how to tell Unity to stop at +30 degrees, reverse to -30 degrees, rotate again to +30, stop and repeat, etc, etc. I'd really appreciate any help. Maybe there is a thread like this that I was not able to find? I assume it will involve some kind of 'if than' function? Thank you, Ryan

  • Repeat row headers after Page Break

    - by klaus.fabian
    The lead developer of the FO engine send me by chance an email about a REALLY nice feature I did not know about. Did you ever encounter a long table with merged cells, where the merged cell went on to the next page? While column headers are by default repeated on the next page, row headers are not. Tables with group-left column and pivot tables are prime examples where this problem occurs. I have seen reports where merged cells could go over multiple pages and you would need to back to find the row header on previous pages. The BI Publisher RTF templates have a special tag you can added to a merged cell to repeat the contents after each page break. You just need to add the following (wordy) tag to the next merged table cell: true Example: 2nd page of report before adding the tag 2nd page of report after adding the tag. Thought you might want to know. Klaus

  • What is meant by "Repeat Business" ?

    - by vinoth
    Repeat Business obviously happens because the company has a great product or a great service. In the software industry, do companies make the code base complex enough so that the maintenance comes back to them? I have heard of cases where companies say "ya this code base has minor errors, let's ship them anyway, and let the customers come back for another change request on these". Then they would sometimes charge the customer for that. This question is specific to the software services industry. Do these things happen in the real world? I am trying to understand the business process.

  • How do I repeat a texture with GLKit?

    - by Synopfab
    I am using GLKit in order to show textures on my project. The code is like this: -(void)setTextureImage:(UIImage *)image { NSError *error; texture = [GLKTextureLoader textureWithCGImage:image.CGImage options:nil error:&error]; if (error) { NSLog(@"Error loading texture from image: %@",error); } } effect.texture2d0.envMode = GLKTextureEnvModeReplace; effect.texture2d0.target = GLKTextureTarget2D; effect.texture2d0.name = texture.name; glEnableVertexAttribArray(GLKVertexAttribTexCoord0); glVertexAttribPointer(GLKVertexAttribTexCoord0, 2, GL_FLOAT, GL_FALSE, 0, self.textureCoordinates); Now I want to repeat this texture on a rectangle. Is there any way use GLKit for this behavior? I've tried to use opengl function in addition to the glkit ones, but it raises errors: glEnable(GL_TEXTURE_2D); glTexParameterf( GL_TEXTURE_2D, GL_TEXTURE_WRAP_S, GL_REPEAT ); glBindTexture( GL_TEXTURE_2D, texture.name ); 2011-11-09 20:10:28.614 **[16309:207] GL ERROR: 0x0500 2011-11-09 20:10:30.840 **[16309:207] Error loading texture from image: Error Domain=GLKTextureLoaderErrorDomain Code=8 "The operation couldn’t be completed. • Repeat use of Schema / Rich Snippets Markup i.e LocalBusiness Data

    - by bybe
    I am unable to find official wording and I'm hoping that some Rich Snippets/Schema Guru can give me some insight into proper usage of repeated content when it comes to using markup. I'm building a site that wants to use Schema as the markup type and the owner would like as much usage as possible. The business name, telephone and address will appear on every page now is it valid or even useful to use Rich Snippets on every page where this information is displayed. For example this information appears in the header, and footer of every page of the site and too give you an example of my current markup see below: <body itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/LocalBusiness"> <header> <a itemprop="url" href="http://www.domain.co.uk/"> <img itemprop="logo" src="image.png" alt="Company Name Logo" /> </a> <span itemprop="telephone">01202 000 000</span> </header> <div> This is where the content will go</div> <footer> <span itemprop="name">Company Name</span> <span itemprop="description"> A small little bit about this company</span> <div itemprop="address" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/PostalAddress"> <span itemprop="streetAddress">Address Goes here</span> <span itemprop="addressLocality">Area Here</span>, <span itemprop="addressRegion">Region Here</span> </div> </footer> </body> !-- Local Business Schema Now Closed --> So as you can see above this information will be displayed on every single page.... Is this valid or bad to repeat usage of this information in schema format...

  • How Does One Make Scala Control Abstraction in Repeat Until?

    - by peter_pilgrim
    Hi I am Peter Pilgrim. I watched Martin Odersky create a control abstraction in Scala. However I can not yet seem to repeat it inside IntelliJ IDEA 9. Is it the IDE? package demo class Control { def repeatLoop ( body: = Unit ) = new Until( body ) class Until( body: = Unit ) { def until( cond: = Boolean ) { body; val value: Boolean = cond; println("value="+value) if ( value ) repeatLoop(body).until(cond) // if (cond) until(cond) } } def doTest2(): Unit = { var y: Int = 1 println("testing ... repeatUntil() control structure") repeatLoop { println("found y="+y) y = y + 1 } { until ( y < 10 ) } } } The error message reads: Information:Compilation completed with 1 error and 0 warnings Information:1 error Information:0 warnings C:\Users\Peter\IdeaProjects\HelloWord\src\demo\Control.scala Error:Error:line (57)error: Control.this.repeatLoop({ scala.this.Predef.println("found y=".+(y)); y = y.+(1) }) of type Control.this.Until does not take parameters repeatLoop { In the curried function the body can be thought to return an expression (the value of y+1) however the declaration body parameter of repeatUntil clearly says this can be ignored or not? What does the error mean?
