  • win7 64 bit. Fresh install on fresh pc fails with BSOD.

    Hello, I've built a new machine: ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO OCZ DDR3 PC3-12800 (2x 2gb) Amd Athlon II X4 630 Box AM3 I tried memtest with hiren boot cd (tested only 3gb) and showed no error. Then I tried the built in ram test from the win7 cd (2 passes no errors). I also deleted with a 0 pass the hard drive. The error I get is this: 0x0000007e (0xFFFFFFFFFC0000005,0xFFFFF8000C1AB0F3,0xFFFFF880009A8498,0xFFFFF880009A7CF0) Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Hello There are a couple of videos on the Web whose soundtracks I'd like to rip so I can listen to them at the gym, but all of the web apps like KeepVid that I tried failed downloading them. As a work-around, I'll just play the videos and record the soundtrack for later listening. Are there good applications for Windows, free or affordable, that will let me record whatever is being played on the soundcard? Thank you.

I cannot save this variable in the registry of the local machine under HKCU, because the users are likely to exchange their machines. This variable must be accessible on the whole domain.     Hello, I installed Ubunut and got the LAMP stack installed too. Now the problem is I have to be connected to the internet for the local apache webserver to work, else it does not. I changed the IP address on the dnshost, in the apache2.conf file, got the servername in the httpd.conf, which was empty. Any ideas guys. Thanks Jean

    Hello emacs gurus, I'm out of ideas here - my emacs crashes when popup dialog is opened. The x-popup-dialog function is probably to blame but I found no workaround to this. My Emacs version is 23.1.1 . Unfortunately some functionality of emacs calls this (e.x. customize asks whether it should save the changes) which causes the crash. Does anybody know how to fix it or disable it?

    Hello, I am running runstats command to update the runtime statistics of a particular table called "CUSTOMER" in DB2. The customer has two columns- CID (integer) and INFO (xml column). After running the command, if I look into the SYSCOLDIST table, the information for column CID is populated correctly. But there is nothing filled for the INFO xml column. The same happens with a different table that has xml columns. Please help.. Thanks, -Keshav

    Hello, CentOS 5.3 After booting up. I am wondering what is the name of the log file that contains if all services where successfully loaded or not? For example when computer boots you get a list of start services and they can be OK or FAILED. Is there a log file where this information is kept?     Hello, i set up a dedicaced server with a tutorial. I set in PHP : mbstring.language=UTF-8 mbstring.internal_encoding=UTF-8 mbstring.http_input=UTF-8 mbstring.http_output=UTF-8 mbstring.detect_order=auto But each time there is a $ in the password (i have one for the root of mysql + other script) the password won't work. For example, I just removed the $ in the password for a script, and it worked. When i connect @root on mysql via phpmyadmin : don't work When i connect @root via PHP : works What can i do for this problem please ?

I intend to install VS2008 in the VM and use it in Virtualbox when doing quick work and on native hardware when doing a lot of work.
