  • How do I use multiple arguments from an array to construct an execl() call in C?

    I have a string array in C named args[] - now how can I use this list of arguments to construct a proper call to execl()? So if the array contains: {"/bin/ls","ls","-a","-l"} ...how can I eventually construct an execl() call that is: execl("/bin/ls","ls","-a","-l",NULL); I must be thinking about this wrong, as I can't find anything online, just talk about defining functions that can take a variable number of arguments.

  • How to create pulsating value from 0..1..0..1..0 etc for a given duration?

    Hi I'm working on some code where I have a Time object with a member time. Time.time gives me the time since my application started in seconds (float value). Now I want to create a pulsating value between 0 and 1 and then from 1 to 0 again, which continues doing thins untill the application stops. I was thinking to use sin() but don't know what to pass to it as paramters to create this pulsing value. How would I create this pulsating value? Kind regards, Pollux

    Is it possible, from within ASP.NET MVC, to route to different controllers or actions based on the accessing device/browser? I'm thinking of setting up alternative actions and views for some parts of my website in case it is accessed from the iPhone, to optimize display and functionality of it. I don't want to create a completely separate project for the iPhone though as the majority of the site is fine on any device. Any idea on how to do this?

    Hi everyone, I want to parse a text file, where I get numbers that are between parenthesis like this: 1 2 3 (4 - 7) 8 9 1 3 8 (7 - 8) 2 1 1 2 (8 - 10) 3 2 should return an array for each: array1: 4 7 8 array2: 7 8 10 I am thinking of using split for each line, like line.split("("), but that doesn't quite doing the trick.. I've been thinking on PDF generation but not sure if there are handy tools to construct pivot tables.     before answer me plz thinking about the futures of these kind of program and answer me plz. I wanna get some data from oracle server like: 1-get all the function,package,procedure and etc for showing them or drop them & etc... 2-compile my *.sql files,get the result if they have problem & etc... becuz I was beginner in oracle first of all I for solve the second problem I try to connect to sqlPlus by RUN sqlplus and trace the output(I mean,I change the output stream of shell and trace what happend and handle the assigned message to customer. NOW THIS PART SUCCEED. just a little bit I have problem with get all result because the output is asynchronous.any way... [in this case I log in to oracle Server by send argument to the sqlplus by make a process in c#] after that I try to get all function,package or procedure name,but I have problem in speed!so I try to use oracle.DataAccess.dll to connect the database. now I m so confusing about: which way is correct way to build a program that work like Oracle Developer! I do not have any experience for like these program how work. If Your answer is I must use the second way follow this part plz: I search a little bit the Golden,PLedit (Benthic software),I have little bit problem how I must create the connection string?because I thinking about how I can find the host name or port number that oracle work on them?? am I need read the TNSNames.Ora file? IF your answer is I must use the first way follow this part plz: do u have any Idea for how I parse the output?because for example the result of a table is so confusing...[i can handle & program it but I really need someone experience,because the important things to me learn how such software work so nice and with quick response?] All of the has different style in output...   • How is the Viewflipper handling the back button in Android?

    I'm thinking about using a ViewFlipper for an Wizard like Activity. But I see one problem with this approach. The back button. Will the back button go back to the last shown activity or will the the Viewflipper somehow catch the back button event and only change to the last shown activity? I suspect the ViewFlipper to be treated as one Activity on the BackStack so is seems that is the wrong aproach for a wizard. Is this correct?

  • Are there localization tools which spot content strings in xaml/wpf?

    When globalizing a wpf application with static resx classes, it's very easy to miss the odd label or button that has its Content property set to a hard coded string in a particular language, ie English. These should of course be moved off to a {x:Static ...} so they can be localised for each culture. Are there any tools which can spot this and warn you? Built in to VS would be ideal, but I'm thinking that 'style cop' type build tools would do the job as well.
