  • Export symbol as png

    I'd like to export plotting symbols form R as a png graphic. But I haven't found a perfect way yet. Using png("symbol.png",width=20, height=20, bg="transparent") par(mar=c(0,0,0,0)) plot.new() symbols(1, 1, circles=0.3, bg=2, inches=FALSE, lwd=2, bty="n") dev.off() creates a little border around the symbol (I'd like it to be transparent) and the symbol isn't filling the whole space. Is there a more specific way of doing this ?

  • How to draw on JPanel on fixed position?

    I have JPanel wrapped in JScrollPane and I want the rectangle to be drawn always on the same position = moving with scrollbars wont affect the visibility of the rectangle. I tried following code: public void paintComponent(Graphics g) { g.setColor(Color.red); g.drawRect(50, (int)getVisibleRect().getY(), 20 , 20); } but it only repaints the rectangle when size of whole JPanel is changed.

    Hello everyone, I am learning and using SQL Server 2008 new Merge statement, merge statement will compare/operate source table and destination table row by row ("operate" I mean operations performed for when matched or not-matched conditions).     According to the NSWindow Class Reference, you should "rarely need to invoke" the NSWindow methods "display" or "setViewsNeedDisplay". So what is the usual way to redisplay the window's contents? EDIT: I am having trouble dealing with resizing events. I just want to have everything scale proportionally. See this question. As no one seems to have any ideas for using masks to get it to happen, I want to redraw the whole thing.

Basically, what I'd like to do, is to retrieve the ErrorTemplate of an Control at some point like this: ControlTemplate errTemplate = Validation.GetErrorTemplate(myTxtBx); and temporarily use it as it's ControlTemplate like this: myTxtBx.Template = errTemplate; Can you somehow do this?

    I want to iterate over each line in the output of ls -l /some/dir/* Right now I'm trying: for x in ls -l $1; do echo $x done, however this iterates over each element in the line seperately, so i get -r--r----- 1 ivanevf eng 1074 Apr 22 13:07 File1 -r--r----- 1 ivanevf eng 1074 Apr 22 13:17 File2 I want to iterate over each line as a whole, though.     I am using Contains() to identify something that NOT contain in the list. So something like, if(!list.Contains(MyObject)) { //do something } but, the whole if statment goes to true even though MyObject is already in the list. Anybody what I am doing wrong? Thank you

  • Using Action Filters for user login in Asp.NET MVC?

    I recently built a site using Asp.Net. The way I chose to implement user login is through a base 'UserAwareController' class, that all controllers extend. It contained a reference to the UserRepository, and exposed a protected GetCurrentUser() method that concrete controllers could query. The whole process felt a bit wishy-washy to me. Is Action Filters a good alternative? What are its benefits? Is there something else I might be missing?

  • Isn't it better to create the subview hierarchy in -viewDidLoad rather than in -loadView?

    The docs say that the whole subview hierarchy can be created in -loadView. But there's also this -viewDidLoad method which sounds nice to ovewrite for actually building the hierarchy, when the view loaded. I guess it's a matter of taste only. But maybe doing so in -viewDidLoad hast the advantage that the view controller already adjusted the frame of the view correctly to accomodate for the status bar or any other kind of bar like tab bar or tool bar?

    I'm using the TTThumbsViewController section of the three20 framework, and I have the status bar hidden throughout my application. When the user views the full size image, taps the screen(hiding the controls), when they tap again the controls reappear but the status bar is there too.
