  • Rotating A Tile In A BufferedImage

    I have created a a bufferedImage of 6 tiles of 2 rows and 3 columns and i want to rotate the last tile of the second row. This tile serves as a crossing for my animation. My problems are : How can i get access to that specifc tile alone and rotate it alone without affecting others. I have googled for a while but no answer.

    Hello, For instance if I do something like: Criteria c = session.createCriteria(Book.class) .add(Expression.ge("release",reDate); .add(Expression.ge("price",price); .addOrder( Order.asc("date") ) .setFirstResult(0) .setMaxResults(10); c.list(); How can I use the same criteria instance, but remove (for example) the second criterion? I'm trying to build a dynamic query in which I'd like to let the user remove a filter, without the backend having to reconstruct the criteria from scratch. Thank you

  • For a Chemical Equation Balancer App (Android), how do I count the number of atoms of each element in each term?

    This is my app: If someone enters "C6H12O6+O2=CO2+H2O", then I have already written code to split the equation into terms, so in an ArrayList called rterms I have the strings: C6H12O6 CO2 and in another ArrayList called pterms, I have: CO2 H2O I need to count the number of C's in each term of the reactants, so 6 for term 1, 0 for term 2, and then the H's and then O's. How would I do this? Any help is appreciated.

    I have an enum that will hold my algorithms. I cannot instantiate these classes because I need the application context which is only available once the application has started. I want to load the class at runtime when I choose by calling getAlgorithm(Context cnx). How do I easily instantiate a class at runtime given its .class (and my constructor takes arguments)?   • How to have a run in an Service?

    I have implemented an service that runs in a seperate process. This service contains a separate thread where i have a socket connection. This thread has a run() where it is continuously sending data to the port. My problem is after triggering the run() in the thread i don't get any contact with it anymore, i can see in the program that have open the socket that it consciously sends the data but the idea was that i while it is running i could change data that it sends for an example time. here is my run in the external thread: public void run() { if(run) { // Team and player names message is sent when entering in a game setBaseMessage(); SendMessageToCOMPort(base_message + CalculateCRC(base_message)); sleep(); // waits for 100 ms } } Anyone have any idea what might be wrong ?

  • Managing test data for Junit tests.

    Hi, We are facing one problem in managing test data(xmls which is used to create mock objects). The data which we have currently has been evolved over a long period of time. Each time we add a new functionality or test case we add new data to test that functionality. Now, the problem is when the business requirement changes the format( like length or format of a variable) or any change which the test data doesn't support , we need to change the entire test data which is 100s of MBs in size. Could anyone suggest a better method or process to overcome this problem? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Is it possible to add a trailing slash to the default context of an application? Example: http://www.uri.com/foo -> http://www.uri.com/foo/ I added the following redirect to the server properties: redirect_1: from=/foo url-prefix=/foo/ and this ends up in a loop... Several other configurations also didn't work :-/ I'm using glassfish v2.1-b60e.

  • JAR file folder for eclipse projects

    I'm trying to create a centralized folder (in some kind of a "meta project" in my eclipse workspace) for commonly used JAR files for referenced projects in this workspace. It should work similar to the WEB-INF/lib folder for web projects but also apply to non web projects, and automatically scan and add all jar files in this folder. I tried to create a user library with these jar files and reference them in the project but I still have to add every new jar manually to the user library (and don't know if it is referenced relative of absoulute) and Tomcat (WTP) doesn't seem to take these files (Run As - Run on Server) into its classpath (and I don't want to duplicate the jars and put them into WEB-INF/lib). Any ideas?

    I'm writing a module to handle dice rolling. Given x die of y sides, I'm trying to come up with a list of all potential roll combinations. This code assumes 3 die, each with 3 sides labeled 1, 2, and 3. (I realize I'm using "magic numbers" but this is just an attempt to simplify and get the base code working.) int[] set = { 1, 1, 1 }; list = diceroll.recurse(0,0, list, set); ... public ArrayList<Integer> recurse(int index, int i, ArrayList<Integer> list, int[] set){ if(index < 3){ // System.out.print("\n(looping on "+index+")\n"); for(int k=1;k<=3;k++){ // System.out.print("setting i"+index+" to "+k+" "); set[index] = k; dump(set); recurse(index+1, i, list, set); } } return list; } (dump() is a simple method to just display the contents of list[]. The variable i is not used at the moment.) What I'm attempting to do is increment a list[index] by one, stepping through the entire length of the list and incrementing as I go. This is my "best attempt" code. Here is the output: Bold output is what I'm looking for. I can't figure out how to get rid of the rest. (This is assuming three dice, each with 3 sides. Using recursion so I can scale it up to any x dice with y sides.)   • What GC parameters is a JVM running with?

    I'm still investigating issues I have with GC tuning (see prior question), which involves lots of reading and experimentation. Sun Java5+ JVMs attempt to automatically select the optimal GC strategy and parameters based on their environment, which is great, but I can't figure out how to query the running JVM to find out what those parameters are. Ideally, I'd like to see what values of the various GC-related -XX options are being used, as selected automatically by the VM. If I had that, I could have a baseline to begin tweaking. Anyone know to recover these values from a running VM?
