  • which to use OLEDB or ODBC for SYbase

    Hi, I am not able to figure out which drivers should I use. Even I don't know what I have. When I am trying to make the connection string through the .udl file it only shows SYbase ASE OleDB Provider while in install folder I can see in driver list Syabse Ase ODBC driver but in connection string it is unable to pick up the driver, here I used Driver = (Sybase ASE ODBC Driver) What should I go for?   • Selecting a column that is also a keyword in MySQL

    For some reason, the developers at a new company I'm working for decided to name their columns "ignore" and "exists". Now when I run MySQL queries with those words in the where clause, I get a syntax error; however, I can't seem to figure out how to reference those columns without running into an error. I tried setting them as strings, but that doesn't make any sense. Help? Also, is there a term for this kind of mismatch?

I will have a Product Value Object where I'll save each product's values and the I'll push each product to an array variable in my Singleton class. Is my logic OK? Is there a better way?     Last summer I learned HTML and CSS for a job, mainly through tutorials and a sort of "build this" method, that is, I'm given a goal and have to try to figure out how to build it myself. Is there a place with some examples to teach someone with this method? My boss wants to get me going on PHP this summer, and I need to refamiliarize myself with it over the next week. Most people send me to Php.net to follow the documentation, is there another good method out there?

Additionally, I was not able to figure out any blogs which explains this API in breadth and depth of it. The knowledge gained by understanding the API can also be used for writing custom FxCop rules. Does anybody knows about any blog or resources which explains the same?

    I have a table with columns a b and c, and if c is false then I only want to allow insertions if columns a and b are unique, but if c is true then a and b do not need to be unique. Example: There can only be one (foo, bar, false) in the table, but no limit on how many (foo, bar, true) there can be. I tried something like CONSTRAINT blah UNIQUE (a,b) AND CHECK (C is TRUE) but I can't figure out the correct syntax.

I tried using csv from the standard library but keep getting the following exception CSV::IllegalFormatError. Not sure how to even figure out where the problem lies.     I am writing a script that grabs the external IP address along with some other information about each iface. I can't figure out how to make ruby send traffic over a specific iface(eth0 and wlan0 for example). I am currently using the open-uri library to open http://whatismyip.org and read it into a variable. def get_external_ip begin open("http://whatismyip.org") { |f| return f.read } rescue return "none" end end Is there any way to specify this at runtime of the script or from within the script itself(ideally)?

  • How do I use xStream to output Java Objects with List properties?

    Hello, I am trying to output some Java objects as JSON, they have List properties which I want to be formatted as { "People" : [ { "Name" : "Bob" } , { "Name" : "Jim" } ] } However, I cannot figure out how to do this with XStream. It always outputs as { "Person" : { "Name" : "Bob" }, "Person" : { "Name" : "Bob" } Is there a way to fix this?   • Error: Error #1502: A script has executed for longer than the default timeout period of 15 seconds.

    I got this error and I am not sure what it's about. The last thing I remember doing is adding a clearInterval() method to clear some setTimeOut() intervals varibles. besides that I am not sure what it could be. Not asking for a solution. But if anyone know's any possibilities of what it could trigger that error, maybe that might help me to figure out where its coming from.

    I want to use a table-valued database function in the where clause of a query I am building using LLBLGen Pro 2.6 (self-servicing).     Hi everyone, I have this big problem that i dont know how to fix. I have a UIView that i want to draw a scrolling background on. I am using NSTimer to update 30 frames per second but it seems to redraw one frame every 8 seconds. I am calling [self setNeedsDisplay] but it has no effect. I cant figure out why this is happening, does anyone have any tips? Thanks for your time.

    I have a list of tuples that I'm trying to incorporate into a SQL query but I can't figure out how to join them together without adding slashes. My like this: list = [('val', 'val'), ('val', 'val'), ('val', 'val')] If I turn each tuple into a string and try to join them with a a comma I'll get something like ' (\'val\, \'val\'), ... ' What's the right way to do this, so I can get the list (without brackets) as a string?

    I'm using the Post/Redirect/Get pattern on a form of mine. I've never used this approach before and I'm trying to figure something out: Normally, I always just displayed the posted form again when there were validation errors and displayed POST values in the form (sticky form). However with the PRG pattern, the form is displayed after a redirect, so there aren't any POST values. So my question is, how can I implement the PRG pattern and still have sticky forms?

  • How to redisplay a page in iPhone UIWebView

    I've got a UIWebView which starts off with the scalesPagesToFit property set to YES. This loads up the page and scales it fine. When the user taps a button I want to turn off the scaling and show the page full size but I'm struggling to figure out how to force the page to redraw. I specifically do not want to refresh the page (ie fetch it from the server again) just redraw the page that has already been downloaded. I've tried setNeedsLayout and setNeedsDisplay but neither of these work
