  I am complete new to IntellijIdea and i am looking for some step-by-step process to set up a basic project. My project depends on Maven + Jaxb classes so i need a Maven project so that when i compile this project, the JAXB Objects are generated by Maven plugins. However, are there any good ways of fully testing a sites links to make sure nothing has broken in a release. I know there's link checkers in general, but I'd like to have it be a part of the build process, so a build outright fails if something isn't right.

I thought I can compile only a single module from that multi module project by that line : mvn -amd -pl "module-name" Seems not to work , this command builds only the specific module. Its dependencies are not compiled yet so it fails. Any ideas how to solve that ? Thanks

  I've got a really nasty problem... I wrote a Red5 app and so on and it is running perfectly on my local computer. Now the problem occurs = How can I make this program work on a remote server? Local : Mac OS X 10.5 - Red5 0.63 Server: CentOS 5 - Red5 0.90 Maybe it's because of the version difference. But I can't test Red5 0.90 locally because it won't start up and I can't install the 0.63 version on the server because of missing dependencies (and broken links to them...)

  We have some Hibernate getter methods annotated with both @Column and @Basic. We get an exception if we don't have the corresponding setter. Why is this? In our case we are deriving the value returned from the getter (to get stored in the DB) and the setter has no functional purpose. So we just have an empty method to get around the error condition..

In my opinion raw data given, has to be normalized into some form. However a discussion with a friend has led to ask me this question here. • How do I set a single virtual directory of my web app to not inherit web.config?

  I have a virtual directory setup in one of my web apps that needs to not inherit the web.config of the main app so it can run on it's own. I am wondering how I can do this because right now when I hit it (mainwebapp.domain.com/virdir) it throws an error saying it can't find some dependencies that are listed in the main apps web.config (shows main app web.config in the error message), this virdir contains it's own little app that needs to just run standalone.

It is a common thing to ship dependencies' DLLs but CMake's FindXXX modules(./configure checks) don't provide the path to these DLLs but only to .a files. I quickly looked inside the .a libs and they all seem to contain the DLL's name. What would be a proper way of extracting them from the .a file on a Linux build machine?

• How to insert hyperlink into access database via sql?

  I have a fairly simple MS Access Database that contains some metadata about a bunch of documents and a hyperlink field that links to the document on our network drive. However, when I use a SQL INSERT statement to populate the hyperlink field, the value I give it only becomes the display text, not the actual link. How can I make the value a functional hyperlink? I'd think that the hyperlink data type would actually create hyperlinks. I'm using Access 2002 SP3.

  Hi, when building a jar-with-dependencies with the assembly plugin, I get many, many messages like this: META-INF/ already added, skipping It seems to mee, that maven is warning me, that I already have a META-INF in my to-be-created jar, and therefore the META-INF of the to-be-included dependant jar file is not included in my to-be-created jar. Well, this is exactly what I want, and I want to ged rid of those messages. Is there a way to achieve this? Regards, Martin.
