• Save QList<int> to QSettings

  Hello, I want to save a QList<int> to my QSettings without looping through it. I know that I could use writeArray() and a loop to save all items or to write the QList to a QByteArray and save this but then it is not human readable in my INI file.. Currently I am using the following to transform my QList<int> to QList<QVariant>: QList<QVariant> variantList; //Temp is the QList<int> for (int i = 0; i < temp.size(); i++) variantList.append(temp.at(i)); And to save this QList<Variant> to my Settings I use the following code: QVariant list; list.setValue(variantList); //saveSession is my QSettings object saveSession.setValue("MyList", list); The QList is correctly saved to my INI file as I can see (comma seperated list of my ints) But the function crashes on exit. I already tried to use a pointer to my QSettings object instead but then it crashes on deleting the pointer ..

• Datastore performance, my code or the datastore latency

  I had for the last month a bit of a problem with a quite basic datastore query. It involves 2 db.Models with one referring to the other with a db.ReferenceProperty. The problem is that according to the admin logs the request takes about 2-4 seconds to complete. I strip it down to a bare form and a list to display the results. The put works fine, but the get accumulates (in my opinion) way to much cpu time. #The get look like this: outputData['items'] = {} labelsData = Label.all() for label in labelsData: labelItem = label.item.name if labelItem not in outputData['items']: outputData['items'][labelItem] = { 'item' : labelItem, 'labels' : [] } outputData['items'][labelItem]['labels'].append(label.text) path = os.path.join(os.path.dirname(__file__), 'index.html') self.response.out.write(template.render(path, outputData)) #And the models: class Item(db.Model): name = db.StringProperty() class Label(db.Model): text = db.StringProperty() lang = db.StringProperty() item = db.ReferenceProperty(Item) I've tried to make it a number of different way ie. instead of ReferenceProperty storing all Label keys in the Item Model as a db.ListProperty. My test data is just 10 rows in Item and 40 in Label. So my questions: Is it a fools errand to try to optimize this since the high cpu usage is due to the problems with the datastore or have I just screwed up somewhere in the code? ..fredrik

After I did this, the function started adding 2 trs at a time to the table. What happened? • String.Format Phone Numbers with Extension

  I am trying to create a an function that formats US phone numbers -- hopefully without looping through each digit. When 10 digits are passed in all is fine. How ever when more than 10 digits are passed in I want the String.Format method to append the extension digits on the right.   hi all !  In my app i need to download several plist.  to download a plist i use the NSURLconnection  in my code i use an UIAlertView with a UIActivityIndicator then when the download is finished i add a button to the alert to dismiss it.  To download the plist i use somewhere in my code an NSURL set to the adresse where the plist is, next i set a NSURLRequest with the url cache policy and a timeout interval.  Then i set my NSMutableData to the NSURL connection with a NSURLRequest.  In the delegate didReceiveData: i append data to my mutable data object, in the didFailWithError: i handle error. And finaly in the connectionDidFinishLoading  i serialize my data to a plist so i can write to file my plist, and release my alertview.  My problem is : how can i do if i have sevetal file to download because the connectionDidFinishLoading is called each time my NSURLConnection is finished but i want to release my UiAlert when everything is finished.   How can I accomplish this...what I've tried below is not working and I'm unsure how to make it work. What I'm trying to do is create a div and assign it some attributes, then append this div to all the < li elements that are the on the last node of my unordered list.   I generate the numbering of my headers and figures with CSS's counter and content properties: img.figure:after { counter-increment: figure; content: "Fig. " counter(section) "." counter(figure); } This (appropriate browser assumed) gives a nice labelling "Fig. 1.1", "Fig. 1.2" and so on following any image. Question: How can I access this from Javascript? The question is twofold in that I'd like to access either the current value of a certain counter (at a certain DOM node) or the value of the CSS generated content (at a certain DOM node) or, obviously, both information. Background: I'd like to append to links back-referencing to figures the appropriate number, like this: <a href="#fig1">see here</h> ------------------------^ " (Fig 1.1)" inserted via JS As far as I can see, it boils down to this problem: I could access content or counter via getComputedStyle: var fig_content = window.getComputedStyle( document.getElementById('fig-a'), ':after').content; However, this is not the live value, but the one declared in the stylesheet. I cannot find any interface to access the real live value.

• C# text creation issue

  This is whats going on. I have a huge text file that is suppose to be 1 line per entry. The issue is sometimes the line is broken with a new line. I edit this entire file and wherever the file doesn't begin with ("\"A) i need to append the current line to the previous line ( replacing \n with " "). Everything I come up with keeps appending the line to a new line. Any help is appricated... • jquery control execution of the callback functions

Inside the function i call 2 other functions that use getJSON and POST (with json as a return object) to get some data.   What is the proper way to guarantee delivery when using a SwingWorker? I'm trying to route data from an InputStream to a JTextArea, and I'm running my SwingWorker with the execute method. I think I'm following the example here, but I'm getting out of order results, duplicates, and general nonsense. • Drupal theme preprocess function - primary links

  I recently wrote a theme function to add a class to my primary links that works great. I then wrote some css classes to style these links with custom background images. Worked out great. Now comes the problem, the link text for the primary links still is displayed. Normally this isn't a problem as I would just wrap the in a with a custom "hide" class. For example: <span class="hide"><a href="#">Link Text</a></span> So my question is how can I loop through the primary links and wrap the text w/ a <span> like my example?   I have a couple of tables with similar structures like this: <table> <tbody> <tr>content</tr> <tr>content</tr> <tr>content</tr> <tr>content</tr> <tr>content</tr> <tr>content</tr> <tr>content</tr> <tr>content</tr> ..etc --- The fake button is added here <div class="addrow">Add another</div> </tbody> </table> Since this is a long list, I have a need to toggle the rows one at a time. I just need to show the first row, of course, the rest should be toggled. The action is when I click a dynamic fake button, it will show row no. 2, and clicking again will show another next row. • Use of clone() and appendTo() with draggable - unexpected results with dragging

  I'm constructing a UI for a doctor scheduling app. We have several doctors, each of whom can go in one of several locations on a scheduled day (M - F). I have the main day/location grid (table) in the center of the screen. At the left is a table for the doctor names. On loading, each table cell contains a span (outlined) with the doctor name. The doctor name can go in one slot for each day. I didn't want to just put 5 copies of the doctor name, because the doctor might not be available all 5 days of the week. The idea was: Drag the span and drop into the calendar table. On the drag "start" event, clone the span and append it to the table cell. Now there is another span ready to be dropped into the calendar table. One line of code does the work: $(ui.helper).clone(true).prependTo(ui.helper.parent()); This works. But when I move the cloned span, the original one moves in sync - preserving the spatial relationships as I move the clone around (no doubt there's a "position:relative;left=XX;top=YY" inserted somewhere). I'm sure there's a way to do what I'm thinking of, while keeping the two spans independent. But I'm not thinking of one. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks!   Hi all, I'm trying to implement a validation script (bassistance) with a jquery form wizard (http://www.jankoatwarpspeed.com/post/2009/09/28/webform-wizard-jquery.aspx) but I'm having some problems. On the page for the jquery wizard, a guy named "Tommy" came up with a piece of code to implement bassistance with the code. But for some reason I can't get it to work. What would be the best way to: 1.Duplicate the functionality of the yield return construct in Java? Would it instead be best to maintain a list and append my partial results to this list? How would you handle the yield keyword. 2.Handle the dealing with the sets? I know that I could probably use one of the Java collections which implements that implements the Set interface and then using things like removeAll() to give me a set difference. Is this what you would do in that case? Ultimately, I'm looking to reduce this method into as concise and straightforward way as possible in Java. I'm thinking the return type of the java version of this method will likely return a list of int arrays or something similar. How would you handle the situations above when converting this method into Java?

• Reverse ordered list for jquery submitted comments

  Hey guys I have one more question lol. I am using a script that allows users to submit comments through jquery ajax, however when they are submitted, the submitted comments submit at the bottom of the other comments which are sorted in descending order (newest on top) when the page first loads (due to mysql query).   Hi, a linear linked list is a set of nodes. Any Ideas? Update: Maybe there is a recursive way since the linear linked list is a recursive data structure. I would take the first element, iterate through the list until I get to a node that has no child and append the first element, I would repeat this for the second, third....

• File transfer eating alot of CPU

  I'm trying to transfer a file over a IHttpHandler, the code is pretty simple. However when i start a single transfer it uses about 20% of the CPU. If i were to scale this to 20 simultaneous transfers the CPU is very high. • Cocoa App with Python extension which use Scipy -> ImportError: No module named scipy

  Hi: I have installed Scipy (via macports) for Python on my Mac and it runs fine when running Python scripts. But now I'm using Scipy (via PyObjc) for calculations embedded in a Cocoa App frontend. The following error occurs: ImportError: No module named scipy I am using the "Python.framework" in XCode. Does anybody know why Scipy module is not found? I even added it manually to the module search path via sys.path.append("/opt/local/var/macports/software/py26-scipy/0.7.1_0+gcc43/opt/local/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/site-packages/scipy/") EDIT: I found the problem myself. The path should be without "/scipy" at the end. But now I got an architecture problem: ImportError: dlopen(/opt/local/var/macports/software/py26-scipy/0.7.1_0+gcc43/opt/local/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/site-packages/scipy/fftpack/_fftpack.so, 2): no suitable image found. I'm splitting it off because it's really a sub-question: I'm having difficulties casting an object of type dynamic to another (known) static type. I have an ironPython script that is doing this: import clr clr.AddReference("System") from System import * def GetBclUri(): return Uri("http://google.com") note that it's simply newing up a BCL System.Uri type and returning it. So I know the static type of the returned object. now over in C# land, I'm newing up the script hosting stuff and calling this getter to return the Uri object: dynamic uri = scriptEngine.GetBclUri(); System.Uri u = uri as System.Uri; // casts the dynamic to static fine Works no problem. I now can use the strongly typed Uri object as if it was originally instantiated statically. however.... Now I want to define my own C# class that will be newed up in dynamic-land just like I did with the Uri. My simple C# class: namespace Entity { public class TestPy // stupid simple test class of my own { public string DoSomething(string something) { return something; } } } Now in Python, new up an object of this type and return it: sys.path.append(r'C:..path here...') clr.AddReferenceToFile("entity.dll") import Entity.TestPy def GetTest(): return Entity.TestPy(); // the C# class then in C# call the getter: dynamic test = scriptEngine.GetTest(); Entity.TestPy t = test as Entity.TestPy; // t==null!!! here, the cast does not work.
