  • Stubbing an ActsAs Rails Plugin

    - by Rabbott
    I need to create a plugin much like Authlogic (or even just add on to Authlogic), but due to requirements beyond my control I need my plugin to authenticate using SOAP. Basically the plugin would require that anyone accessing the controller (before_filter would be fine) would have to authenticate first. I have ZERO control over the login page, or the SOAP server, I am simply a client attempting to authenticate to the providers SOAP Web Service. Here is what happens.. before_filter realizes that no session[:credential] is set, and forwards the user to the url on the providers servers. The user enters their credentials, and once authenticated, the web service forwards the user to a URL that has been entered by their sysadmins, attaching a token to the url on its way back. I need to take that token, append it to some parameters stored in a local YAML file, and make the SOAP call to the providers server. If all goes as planned, I need to set session[:credential] to the result of the SOAP call, and forward the user to the root page. Subsequent calls to the before_filter will not make the SOAP call, because session[:credential] is set. Ideally I think this would be awesome to slap on top of Authlogic, but I'm not sure how to do this, So I started to create my own acts_as_soap_authentic plugin, which isn't causing errors, but doesn't do anything.. Anyone have any pointers, or tips as to how I can get the ball rolling here? It seems simple, but is proving not to be..

  • jQuery tooltip: Trouble with remove()

    - by Rosarch
    I'm using a jQuery tooltip plugin. I have HTML like this: <li class="term ui-droppable"> <strong>Fall 2011</strong> <li class="course ui-draggable">Biological Statistics I<a class="remove-course-button" href="">[X]</a></li> <div class="term-meta-data"> <p class="total-credits too-few-credits">Total credits: 3</p> <p class="median-GPA low-GPA">Median Historical GPA: 2.00</p> </div> </li> I want to remove the .course element. So, I attach a click handler to the <a>: function _addDeleteButton(course, term) { var delete_button = $('<a href="" class="remove-course-button" title="Remove this course">[X]</a>'); course.append(delete_button); $(delete_button).click(function() { course.remove(); return false; }).tooltip(); } This all works fine, in terms of attaching the click handler. However, when course.remove() is called, Firebug reports an error in tooltip.js: Line 282 tsettings is null if ((!IE || !$.fn.bgiframe) && tsettings.fade) { What am I doing wrong? If the link has a tooltip attached, do I need to remove it specially? UPDATE: Removing .tooltip() solve the problem. I'd like to keep it in, but that makes me suspect that my use of .tooltip() is incorrect here.

  • How to get a handle to all JCheckBox objects in order to loop?

    - by EmmyS
    I'm very new to Java and am having some issues looping through JCheckBoxes on a UI. The idea is that I have a bunch of checkboxes (not in a group because more than one can be selected.) When I click a JButton, I want to build a string containing the text from each selected checkbox. The issue I'm having is that our instructor told us that the checkboxes need to be created via a method, which means (see code below) that there isn't a discrete instance name for each checkbox. If there were, I could say something like if(checkBox1.isSelected()) { myString.append(checkBox.getText()); } That would repeat for checkBox2, checkBox3, and so on. But the method provided to us for adding checkboxes to a panel looks like this: public class CheckBoxPanel extends JPanel { private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L; public CheckBoxPanel(String title, String... options) { setBorder(BorderFactory.createTitledBorder(BorderFactory .createEtchedBorder(), title)); setLayout(new BoxLayout(this, BoxLayout.Y_AXIS)); // make one checkbox for each option for (String option : options) { JCheckBox b = new JCheckBox(option); b.setActionCommand(option); add(b); } } } This is called like this: toppingPanel = new CheckBoxPanel("Each Topping $1.50", "Tomato", "Green Pepper", "Black Olives", "Mushrooms", "Extra Cheese", "Pepperoni", "Sausage"); So I now have a panel that contains a border with the title "Each Topping $1.50", and 7 visible checkboxes. What I need to do is get a list of all the selected toppings. We are not supposed to use an ActionListener for each checkbox, but rather get the list when a button is clicked. I'm feeling really clueless here, but I just can't figure out how to get the isSelected property of the checkboxes when the individual checkboxes don't have instance names. Ideally I'd like to somehow add all the checkboxes to an array and loop through the array in the button's action listener to determine which ones are checked, but if I have to check each one individually I will. I just can't figure out how to refer to an individual checkbox when they've been created dynamically.

  • POST a form in an iframe.

    - by Stavros Korokithakis
    I would like to POST a form in an iframe, generated like so: My JS loads an iframe inside the page, adds a form to the iframe and submits the form. What I would like to happen is the iframe to load the result of that request. So, I would effectively like to post a form and render the result inside the iframe, without touching the parent (apart from putting the iframe up for display in the first place). I am using the code from this answer: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/133925/javascript-post-request-like-a-form-submit/134003#134003 but I can't get it to not reload the parent. I post the form, and instead of the iframe refreshing, the entire parent refreshes. I don't know why that is, since the url it's posting to is different and would at least redirect there. Can anyone help me with this problem? I just want a post inside an iframe and only within the iframe, basically. EDIT: After some more research, apparently the form is not being created properly. I'm using document.createElement("form") and then document.getElementById("my_iframe_id").appendChild(form) to append it, but it does not seem to be working correctly.

  • Why can't I build this Javascript object?

    - by Alex Mcp
    I have an object I'm trying to populate from another object (that is, iterate over a return object to produce an object with only selected values from the original). My code looks like this: var collect = {}; function getHistoricalData(username){ $.getJSON("http://url/" + username + ".json?params", function(data){ for (var i=0; i < data.length; i++) { console.log(i); collect = { i : {text : data[i].text}}; $("#wrap").append("<span>" + data[i].text + "</span><br />"); }; console.log(collect); }); } So I'm using Firebug for debugging, and here's what I know: The JSON object is intact console.log(i); is showing the numbers 1-20 as expected When I log the collect object at the end, it's structure is this: var collect = { i : {text : "the last iteration's text"}}; So the incrementer is "applying" to the data[i].text and returning the text value, but it's not doing what I expected, which is create a new member of the collect object; it's just overwriting collect.i 20 times and leaving me with the last value. Is there a different syntax I need to be using for assigning object members? I tried collect.i.text = and collect[i].text = and the error was that whatever I tried was undefined. I'd love to know what's going on here, so the more in-depth an explanation the better. Thanks!

  • jquery-infinite-carousel - jump 3 items instead of one

    - by Rob B
    Successfully used jquery-infinite-carousel in the past but for my current project I need it to loop forever AND also jump 3 items at a time. Example of how it works jumping 1 at a time here. jQuery.fn.carousel = function(previous, next, options){ var sliderList = jQuery(this).children()[0]; if (sliderList) { var increment = jQuery(sliderList).children().outerWidth("true"), elmnts = jQuery(sliderList).children(), numElmts = elmnts.length, sizeFirstElmnt = increment, shownInViewport = Math.round(jQuery(this).width() / sizeFirstElmnt), firstElementOnViewPort = 1, isAnimating = false; //console.log("increment = " + increment); //console.log("numElmts = " + numElmts); //console.log("shownInViewport = " + shownInViewport); for (i = 0; i < shownInViewport; i++) { jQuery(sliderList).css('width',(numElmts+shownInViewport)*increment + increment + "px"); jQuery(sliderList).append(jQuery(elmnts[i]).clone()); } jQuery(previous).click(function(event){ if (!isAnimating) { if (firstElementOnViewPort == 1) { jQuery(sliderList).css('left', "-" + numElmts * sizeFirstElmnt + "px"); firstElementOnViewPort = numElmts; console.log("firstElementOnViewPort = " + firstElementOnViewPort); } else { firstElementOnViewPort--; } jQuery(sliderList).animate({ left: "+=" + increment, y: 0, queue: true }, "swing", function(){isAnimating = false;}); isAnimating = true; } }); jQuery(next).click(function(event){ if (!isAnimating) { if (firstElementOnViewPort > numElmts) { firstElementOnViewPort = 2; jQuery(sliderList).css('left', "0px"); } else { firstElementOnViewPort++; } jQuery(sliderList).animate({ left: "-=" + (increment), y: 0, queue: true }, "swing", function(){isAnimating = false;}); isAnimating = true; } }); } };

  • How to make jquery hover event fire repeatedly.

    - by clinthorner
    I have a infinite carousel that I want to move when I hover over the next and previous buttons. Right now hover only fires this once. I want the carousel to continue moving while the mouse is within the next or previous buttons. Any Suggestions? jQuery.fn.carousel = function(previous, next, options){ var sliderList = jQuery(this).children()[0]; if (sliderList) { var increment = jQuery(sliderList).children().outerWidth("true"), elmnts = jQuery(sliderList).children(), numElmts = elmnts.length, sizeFirstElmnt = increment, shownInViewport = Math.round(jQuery(this).width() / sizeFirstElmnt), firstElementOnViewPort = 1, isAnimating = false; for (i = 0; i < shownInViewport; i++) { jQuery(sliderList).css('width',(numElmts+shownInViewport)*increment + increment + "px"); jQuery(sliderList).append(jQuery(elmnts[i]).clone()); } jQuery(previous).hover(function(event){ if (!isAnimating) { if (firstElementOnViewPort == 1) { jQuery(sliderList).css('left', "-" + numElmts * sizeFirstElmnt + "px"); firstElementOnViewPort = numElmts; } else { firstElementOnViewPort--; } jQuery(sliderList).animate({ left: "+=" + increment, y: 0, queue: true }, "swing", function(){isAnimating = false;}); isAnimating = true; } }); jQuery(next).hover(function(event){ if (!isAnimating) { if (firstElementOnViewPort > numElmts) { firstElementOnViewPort = 2; jQuery(sliderList).css('left', "0px"); } else { firstElementOnViewPort++; } jQuery(sliderList).animate({ left: "-=" + increment, y: 0, queue: true }, "swing", function(){isAnimating = false;}); isAnimating = true; } }); } };

  • Has any one used client_side_validations gem with Chosen.js dropdown?

    - by Abid
    I am using chosen.js (http://harvesthq.github.com/chosen/). I was wondering if anyone has been able to use chosen select boxes and client_side_validations together. The issue is that when we use chosen it hides the original select element and renders its own dropdown instead, and when we focus out the validation isn't called and also when the validation message is shown it is shown with the original select element so positioning of the error isnt also correct. What could be a good way to handle this, My be we can change some code inside ActionView::Base.field_error_proc which currently looks something like ActionView::Base.field_error_proc = Proc.new do |html_tag, instance| unless html_tag =~ /^<label/ %{<div class="field_with_errors">#{html_tag}<label for="#{instance.send(:tag_id)}" class="message">#{instance.error_message.first}</label></div>}.html_safe else %{<div class="field_with_errors">#{html_tag}</div>}.html_safe end end Any ideas ? Edit 1: I have the following solution that is working for me now. applied a class "chzn-dropdown" to all my selects that were being displayed by chosen used the following callback provided by client_side_validations Gem clientSideValidations.callbacks.element.fail = function(element, message, callback) { if (element.data('valid') !== false) { if(element.hasClass('dropdown')){ chzn_element = $('#'+element.attr('id')+'_chzn'); console.log(chzn_element); chzn_element.append(""+message+""); } else{ callback(); } } } Thanks

  • JavaScript Exception/Error Handling Not Working

    - by Seán Hayes
    This might be a little hard to follow. I've got a function inside an object: f_openFRHandler: function(input) { console.debug('f_openFRHandler'); try{ //throw 'foo'; DragDrop.FileChanged(input); //foxyface.window.close(); } catch(e){ console.error(e); jQuery('#foxyface_open_errors').append('<div>Max local storage limit reached, unable to store new images in your browser. Please remove some images and try again.</div>'); } }, inside the try block it calls: this.FileChanged = function(input) { // FileUploadManager.addFileInput(input); console.debug(input); var files = input.files; for (var i = 0; i < files.length; i++) { var file = files[i]; if (!file.type.match(/image.*/)) continue; var reader = new FileReader(); reader.onload = (function(f, isLast) { return function(e) { if (files.length == 1) { LocalStorageManager.addImage(f.name, e.target.result, false, true); LocalStorageManager.loadCurrentImage(); //foxyface.window.close(); } else { FileUploadManager.addFileData(f, e.target.result); // add multiple files to list if (isLast) setTimeout(function() { LocalStorageManager.loadCurrentImage() },100); } }; })(file, i == files.length - 1); reader.readAsDataURL(file); } return true; LocalStorageManager.addImage calls: this.setItem = function(data){ localStorage.setItem('ImageStore', $.json_encode(data)); } localStorage.setItem throws an error if too much local storage has been used. I want to catch that error in f_openFRHandler (first code sample), but it's being sent to the error console instead of the catch block. I tried the following code in my Firebug console to make sure I'm not crazy and it works as expected despite many levels of function nesting: try{ (function(){ (function(){ throw 'foo' })() })() } catch(e){ console.debug(e) } Any ideas?

  • Calculate the digital root of a number

    - by Gregory Higley
    A digital root, according to Wikipedia, is "the number obtained by adding all the digits, then adding the digits of that number, and then continuing until a single-digit number is reached." For instance, the digital root of 99 is 9, because 9 + 9 = 18 and 1 + 8 = 9. My Haskell solution -- and I'm no expert -- is as follows. digitalRoot n | n < 10 = n | otherwise = digitalRoot . sum . map (\c -> read [c]) . show $ n As a language junky, I'm interested in seeing solutions in as many languages as possible, both to learn about those languages and possibly to learn new ways of using languages I already know. (And I know at least a bit of quite a few.) I'm particularly interested in the tightest, most elegant solutions in Haskell and REBOL, my two principal "hobby" languages, but any ol' language will do. (I pay the bills with unrelated projects in Objective C and C#.) Here's my (verbose) REBOL solution: digital-root: func [n [integer!] /local added expanded] [ either n < 10 [ n ][ expanded: copy [] foreach c to-string n [ append expanded to-integer to-string c ] added: 0 foreach e expanded [ added: added + e ] digital-root added ] ] EDIT: As some have pointed out either directly or indirectly, there's a quick one-line expression that can calculate this. You can find it in several of the answers below and in the linked Wikipedia page. (I've awarded Varun the answer, as the first to point it out.) Wish I'd known about that before, but we can still bend our brains with this question by avoiding solutions that involve that expression, if you're so inclined. If not, Crackoverflow has no shortage of questions to answer. :)

  • Trying to draw a dynamic rectangle in SVG

    - by Shaun
    To be more specific, here are the steps I need: onmousedown - set x and y of rect as mouse coordinates onmousemove - using the current x and y mouse coordinates calculate height and width of the rect, set these and append onmouseup - remove the rectangle, and call a function based off some calculations from the rect. Here is what I have but isn't quite working (right now I have it drawing a line to make it simpler): onmousedown: startbox(evt) function startbox(evt) { if(evt.button === 0) { x1 = evt.clientX + div.scrollLeft-5; y1 = evt.clientY + div.scrollTop-30; obj.setAttributeNS(null, "x1", x1); obj.setAttributeNS(null, "y1", y1); Root.setAttributeNS(null, "onmousemove", "updatebox(evt)"); } } onmousemove: updatebox(evt) function updatebox(evt) { if(evt.button === 0) { x2 = evt.clientX + div.scrollLeft-5; y2 = evt.clientY + div.scrollTop-30; Root.appendChild(.obj); w = Math.abs(x2-x1); h = Math.abs(y2-y1); var strokecolor; if(w>20 && h>20) { strokecolor = "green"; validbox = true; } else { strokecolor = "red"; validbox = false; } var Attr={ x2:x2, y2:y2, stroke:strokecolor } assignAttr(obj, Attr); //just loops thru adding multiple attributes } } onmouseup: endbox() function endbox(evt) { if(evt.button===0) { Root.setAttributeNS(null, "onmousemove", ""); Root.removeChild(obj); if(validbox) { //do stuff validbox = !validbox; } } } Some of my problems with this are: Its slow in Chrome making drawing the line/rect feel sluggish. It won't work two times in a row. This is the real problem that I can't fix. Any and all feedback is welcome.

  • Comparing dicts and update a list of result

    - by lmnt
    Hello, I have a list of dicts and I want to compare each dict in that list with a dict in a resulting list, add it to the result list if it's not there, and if it's there, update a counter associated with that dict. At first I wanted to use the solution described at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1692388/python-list-of-dict-if-exists-increment-a-dict-value-if-not-append-a-new-dict but I got an error where one dict can not be used as a key to another dict. So the data structure I opted for is a list where each entry is a dict and an int: r = [[{'src': '', 'dst': '', 'cmd': ''}, 0]] The original dataset (that should be compared to the resulting dataset) is a list of dicts: d1 = {'src': '192.168.0.1', 'dst': '192.168.0.2', 'cmd': 'cmd1'} d2 = {'src': '192.168.0.1', 'dst': '192.168.0.2', 'cmd': 'cmd2'} d3 = {'src': '192.168.0.2', 'dst': '192.168.0.1', 'cmd': 'cmd1'} d4 = {'src': '192.168.0.1', 'dst': '192.168.0.2', 'cmd': 'cmd1'} o = [d1, d2, d3, d4] The result should be: r = [[{'src': '192.168.0.1', 'dst': '192.168.0.2', 'cmd': 'cmd1'}, 2], [{'src': '192.168.0.1', 'dst': '192.168.0.2', 'cmd': 'cmd2'}, 1], [{'src': '192.168.0.2', 'dst': '192.168.0.1', 'cmd': 'cmd1'}, 1]] What is the best way to accomplish this? I have a few code examples but none is really good and most is not working correctly. Thanks for any input on this! UPDATE The final code after Tamås comments is: from collections import namedtuple, defaultdict DataClass = namedtuple("DataClass", "src dst cmd") d1 = DataClass(src='192.168.0.1', dst='192.168.0.2', cmd='cmd1') d2 = DataClass(src='192.168.0.1', dst='192.168.0.2', cmd='cmd2') d3 = DataClass(src='192.168.0.2', dst='192.168.0.1', cmd='cmd1') d4 = DataClass(src='192.168.0.1', dst='192.168.0.2', cmd='cmd1') ds = d1, d2, d3, d4 r = defaultdict(int) for d in ds: r[d] += 1 print "list to compare" for d in ds: print d print "result after merge" for k, v in r.iteritems(): print("%s: %s" % (k, v))

  • HTML Form HIdden Fields added with Javascript not POSTing

    - by dscher
    I have a form where the user can enter a link, click the "add link" button, and that link is then(via jQuery) added to the form as a hidden field. The problem is it's not POSTing when I submit the form. It's really starting to confound me. The thing is that if I hardcode a hidden field into the form, it is posted, but my function isn't working for some reason. The hidden field DOES get added to my form as I can see with Firebug but it's just not being sent with the POST data. Just to note, I'm using an array in Javascript to hold the elements until the form is submitted which also posts them visibly for the user to see what they've added. I'm using [] notation on the "name" field of the element because I want the links to feed into an array in PHP. Here is the link creation which is being appended to my form: function make_hidden_element_tag(item_type, item_content, item_id) { return '<input type="hidden" name="' + item_type + '[]" id="hidden_link_' + item_id + '" value="' + item_content + '"/>'; Does anyone have an idea why this might not be posting. As stated above, any hard-coded tags that are nearly identical to the above works fine, it's just that this tag isn't working. Here is how I'm adding the tag to the form with jQUery: $('#link_td').append( make_hidden_element_tag('links', link, link_array.length - 1)); I'm using the Kohana 3 framework, although I'm not sure that has any bearing on this because it's not really doing anything from the time the HTML is added to the page and the submit button is pressed.

  • Attempting to Convert Byte[] into Image... but is there platform issues involved

    - by user305535
    Greetings, Current, I'm attempting to develop an application that takes a Byte Array that is streamed to us from a Linux C language program across a TCPClient (stream) and reassemble it back into an image/jpg. The "sending" application was developed by a off-site developer who claims that the image reassembles back into an image without any problems or errors in his test environment (all Linux)... However, we are not so fortunate. I (believe) we successfully get all of the data sent, storing it as a string (lets us append the stream until it is complete) and then we convert it back into a Byte[]. This appears to be working fine... But, when we take the byte[] we get from the streaming (and our string assembly) and try to convert it into an image using the System.Drawing.Image.FromStream() we get errors.... Anyone have any idea what we're doing wrong? Or, does anyone know if this is a cross-platform issue? We're developing our app for Windows XP and C# .net, but the off-site developer did his work in c and Linux... perhaps there's some difference as to how each Operating System Coverts Images into Byte Arrays? Anyway, here's the code for converting our received ByteArray (from the TCPClient Stream) into an image. This code works when we send an image from a test machine we built that RUNS on XP, but not from the Linux box... System.Text.ASCIIEncoding encoding = new System.Text.ASCIIEncoding(); byte[] imageBytes = encoding.GetBytes(data); MemoryStream ms = new MemoryStream(imageBytes, 0, imageBytes.Length); // Convert byte[] to Image ms.Write(imageBytes, 0, imageBytes.Length); System.Drawing.Image image = System.Drawing.Image.FromStream(ms, false); <-- DIES here, throws a {System.ArgumentException: Parameter is not valid.} error Any advice, suggestions, theories, or HELP would be GREATLY appreciated! Please let me know??? Best wishes all! Thanks in advance! Greg

  • How to correctly load dependent JavaScript files

    - by Vaibhav Garg
    I am trying to extent a website page that displays google maps with the LabeledMarker. Google Maps API defines a class called GMarker which is extended by the LabeledMarker. The problem is, I cant seem to load the LabeledMarker script properly, i.e. after the Google API loads and I get the 'GMarker not defined' error. What is the correct way to specify the scripts in such cases? I am using ASP.NET's ClientScript.RegisterClientScriptInclude() first for the google API url and then immediately after with the LabeledMarker script file. The initial google API loader writes further script links that load the actual GMarker class. Shouldnt all those scripts be executed before the next script block(LabeledMarker script) is processed. I have checked the generated HTML and the script blocks are emitted in the right order. <script src="google api url" type="text/javascript"></script> ... (the above scripts uses document.write() etc to append further script blocks/sources) ... <script src="Scripts/LabeledMarker.js" type="text/javascript"></script> Once again, the LabeledMarker.js seems to get executed before the google API finishes loading.

Please tell me how to fill values in above xml as a CData format. i know that we can create CDATA like : XmlNode itemDescription = doc.CreateElement("description"); XmlCDataSection cdata = doc.CreateCDataSection("<P>hello world</P>"); itemDescription.AppendChild(cdata); item.AppendChild(itemDescription); but my process is to read node of xml and change its value not to append in it. Thanks

  • while I scroll between the layout it takes too long to be able to scroll between the gallerie's pictures. Is there any way to reduce this time?

    - by Mateo
    Hello, this is my first question here, though I've being reading this forum for quite a while. Most of the answers to my doubts are from here :) Getting back on topic. I'm developing an Android application. I'm drawing a dynamic layout that are basically Galleries, inside a LinearLayout, inside a ScrollView, inside a RelativeLayout. The ScrollView is a must, because I'm drawing a dynamic amount of galleries that most probably will not fit on the screen. When I scroll inside the layout, I have to wait 3/4 seconds until the ScrollView "deactivates" to be able to scroll inside the galleries. What I want to do is to reduce this time to a minimum. Preferably I would like to be able to scroll inside the galleries as soon as I lift my finger from the screen, though anything lower than 2 seconds would be great as well. I've being googling around for a solution but all I could find until now where layout tutorials that didn't tackle this particular issue. I was hoping someone here knows if this is possible and if so to give me some hints on how to do so. I would prefer not to do my own ScrollView to solve this. But if that is the only way I would appreciate some help because I'm not really sure how would I solve this issue by doing that. this is my layout: public class PicturesL extends Activity implements OnClickListener, OnItemClickListener, OnItemLongClickListener { private ArrayList<ImageView> imageView = new ArrayList<ImageView>(); private StringBuilder PicsDate = new StringBuilder(); private CaWaApplication application; private long ListID; private ArrayList<Gallery> gallery = new ArrayList<Gallery>(); private ArrayList<Bitmap> Thumbails = new ArrayList<Bitmap>(); private String idioma; private ArrayList<Long> Days = new ArrayList<Long>(); private long oldDay; private long oldThumbsLoaded; private ArrayList<Long> ThumbailsDays = new ArrayList<Long>(); private ArrayList<ArrayList<Long>> IDs = new ArrayList<ArrayList<Long>>(); @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstancedState) { super.onCreate(savedInstancedState); RelativeLayout layout = new RelativeLayout(this); ScrollView scroll = new ScrollView(this); LinearLayout realLayout = new LinearLayout(this); ArrayList<TextView> texts = new ArrayList<TextView>(); Button TakePic = new Button(this); idioma = com.mateloft.cawa.prefs.getLang(this); if (idioma.equals("en")) { TakePic.setText("Take Picture"); } else if (idioma.equals("es")) { TakePic.setText("Sacar Foto"); } RelativeLayout.LayoutParams scrollLP = new RelativeLayout.LayoutParams(RelativeLayout.LayoutParams.FILL_PARENT, RelativeLayout.LayoutParams.FILL_PARENT); layout.addView(scroll, scrollLP); realLayout.setOrientation(LinearLayout.VERTICAL); realLayout.setLayoutParams(new LayoutParams(LayoutParams.FILL_PARENT, LayoutParams.FILL_PARENT)); scroll.addView(realLayout); TakePic.setId(67); TakePic.setOnClickListener(this); application = (CaWaApplication) getApplication(); ListID = getIntent().getExtras().getLong("listid"); getAllThumbailsOfID(); LinearLayout.LayoutParams TakeLP = new LinearLayout.LayoutParams(LinearLayout.LayoutParams.WRAP_CONTENT, LinearLayout.LayoutParams.WRAP_CONTENT); realLayout.addView(TakePic); oldThumbsLoaded = 0; int galler = 100; for (int z = 0; z < Days.size(); z++) { ThumbailsManager croppedThumbs = new ThumbailsManager(Thumbails, oldThumbsLoaded, ThumbailsDays.get(z)); oldThumbsLoaded = ThumbailsDays.get(z); texts.add(new TextView(this)); texts.get(z).setText("Day " + Days.get(z).toString()); gallery.add(new Gallery(this)); gallery.get(z).setAdapter(new ImageAdapter(this, croppedThumbs.getGallery(), 250, 175, true, ListID)); gallery.get(z).setOnItemClickListener(this); gallery.get(z).setOnItemLongClickListener(this); gallery.get(z).setId(galler); galler++; realLayout.addView(texts.get(z)); realLayout.addView(gallery.get(z)); } Log.d("PicturesL", "ListID: " + ListID); setContentView(layout); } private void getAllThumbailsOfID() { ArrayList<ModelPics> Pictures = new ArrayList<ModelPics>(); ArrayList<String> ThumbailsPath = new ArrayList<String>(); Pictures = application.dataManager.selectAllPics(); long thumbpathloaded = 0; int currentID = 0; for (int x = 0; x < Pictures.size(); x++) { if (Pictures.get(x).walkname == ListID) { if (Days.size() == 0) { Days.add(Pictures.get(x).day); oldDay = Pictures.get(x).day; IDs.add(new ArrayList<Long>()); currentID = 0; } if (oldDay != Pictures.get(x).day) { oldDay = Pictures.get(x).day; ThumbailsDays.add(thumbpathloaded); Days.add(Pictures.get(x).day); IDs.add(new ArrayList<Long>()); currentID++; } StringBuilder tpath = new StringBuilder(); tpath.append(Pictures.get(x).path.substring(0, Pictures.get(x).path.length() - 4)); tpath.append("-t.jpg"); IDs.get(currentID).add(Pictures.get(x).id); ThumbailsPath.add(tpath.toString()); thumbpathloaded++; if (x == Pictures.size() - 1) { Log.d("PicturesL", "El ultimo de los arrays, tamaño: " + Days.size()); ThumbailsDays.add(thumbpathloaded); } } } for (int y = 0; y < ThumbailsPath.size(); y++) { Thumbails.add(BitmapFactory.decodeFile(ThumbailsPath.get(y))); } } I had a memory leak on another activity when screen orientation changed that was making it slower, now it is working better. The scroller is not locking up. But sometimes, when it stops scrolling, it takes a few seconds (2/3) to disable itself. I just want it to be a little more dynamic, is there any way to override the listener and make it stop scrolling ON_ACTION_UP or something like that? I don't want to use the listview because I want to have each gallery separated by other views, now I just have text, but I will probably separate them with images with a different size than the galleries. I'm not really sure if this is possible with a listadapter and a listview, I assumed that a view can only handle only one type of object, so I'm using a scrollview of a layout, if I'm wrong please correct me :) Also this activity works as a preview or selecting the pictures you want to view in full size and manage their values. So its working only with thumbnails. Each one weights 40 kb. Guessing that is very unlikely that a user gets more than 1000~1500 pictures in this view, i thought that the activity wouldn't use more than 40~50 mb of ram in this case, adding 10 more if I open the fullsized view. So I guessed as well most devices are able to display this view in full size. If it doesn't work on low-end devices my plan was to add an option in the app preferences to let user chop this view according to some database values. And a last reason is that during most of this activity "life-cycle" (the app has pics that are relevant to the view, when it ends the value that selects which pictures are displayed has to change and no more pictures are added inside this instance of this activity); the view will be unpopulated, so most of the time showing everything wont cost much, just at the end of its cycle That was more or less what I thought at the time i created this layout. I'm open to any sort of suggestion or opinion, I just created this layout a few days ago and I'm trying to see if it can work right, because it suits my app needs. Though if there is a better way i would love to hear it Thanks Mateo

  • PHP: Retrieving JSON via jQuery ajax help

    - by iamjonesy
    Hey I have a script that is creating and echoing a JSON encoded array of magento products. I have a script that calls this script using jQuery's ajax function but I'm not getting a proper response. This is the script that creates the array: $collection = Mage::getModel('catalog/product')->getCollection(); $collection->addAttributeToSelect('name'); $collection->addAttributeToSelect('price'); $products = array(); foreach ($collection as $product){ $products[$product->getPrice()] = $product->getName(); } header('Content-Type: application/x-json; charset=utf-8'); echo(json_encode($products)); Here is my jQuery: <select id="products"> <option value="#">Select</option> </select> <script type="text/javascript"> jQuery.noConflict(); jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery.ajax({ type: "GET", url: "http://localhost.com/magento/modules/products/get.php", dataType: "json", success: function(products) { jQuery.each(products,function(price,name) { var opt = jQuery('<option />'); opt.val(name); opt.text(price); jQuery('#products').append(opt); }); } }); }); </script> I'm getting a response from this but I'm not seeing a any JSON. I'm using firebug. I can see there has been a JSON encoded response but the response tab is emtyp and my select boxes have no options. Can anyone see and problems with my code? Here is the response I should get: {"82.9230":"Dummy","177.0098":"Dummy 2","76.0208":"Dummy 3","470.6054":"Dummy 4","357.0083":"Dummy Product 5"} Thanks, Billy

  • Converted some PHP functions to c# but getting different results

    - by Tom Beech
    With a bit of help from people on here, i've converted the following PHP functions to C# - But I get very different results between the two and can't work out where i've gone wrong: PHP: function randomKey($amount) { $keyset = "abcdefghijklmABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789"; $randkey = ""; for ($i=0; $i<$amount; $i++) $randkey .= substr($keyset, rand(0, strlen($keyset)-1), 1); return $randkey; } public static function hashPassword($password) { $salt = self::randomKey(self::SALTLEN); $site = new Sites(); $s = $site->get(); return self::hashSHA1($s->siteseed.$password.$salt.$s->siteseed).$salt; } c# public static string randomKey(int amount) { string keyset = "abcdefghijklmABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789"; string randkey = string.Empty; Random random = new Random(); for (int i = 0; i < amount; i++) { randkey += keyset.Substring(0, random.Next(2, keyset.Length - 2)); } return randkey; } static string hashPassword(string password) { string salt = randomKey(4); string siteSeed = "6facef08253c4e3a709e17d9ff4ba197"; return CalculateSHA1(siteSeed + password + salt + siteSeed) + siteSeed; } static string CalculateSHA1(string ipString) { SHA1 sha1 = new SHA1CryptoServiceProvider(); byte[] ipBytes = Encoding.Default.GetBytes(ipString.ToCharArray()); byte[] opBytes = sha1.ComputeHash(ipBytes); StringBuilder stringBuilder = new StringBuilder(40); for (int i = 0; i < opBytes.Length; i++) { stringBuilder.Append(opBytes[i].ToString("x2")); } return stringBuilder.ToString(); } EDIT The string 'password' in the PHP function comes out as "d899d91adf31e0b37e7b99c5d2316ed3f6a999443OZl" in the c# it comes out as: "905d25819d950cf73f629fc346c485c819a3094a6facef08253c4e3a709e17d9ff4ba197"

  • Jquery Cycle Lite plugin unable to see images that have been loaded by an AJAX call

    - by William Macdonald
    Hi, I am having problems using the jquery cycle lite plugin on some images that are added via AJAX. Here is the jquery code: $(function() { resizeWindow(); $(window).bind("resize", resizeWindow); $("#assignment-nav").accordion({ header: "h3", autoHeight: false }); $(".project").click(function() { // get the HTML and load into div $('.image-holder').empty(); var justTheNumber = $(this).attr('id').replace('project-',''); $.get("get_project_images.php", {project_id:justTheNumber}, function(data){ $('.image-holder').append(data); } ); $(".image-holder").cycle({ // Cycle plugin prev: '#prev', next: '#next', timeout: 0, speed: 250 }) }); }); My code works fine in that the IMG tags are loaded and the first image of the slide show is displayed. However the prev/next buttons don't work. When I load the images via static HTML the slideshow prev/next links works fine. (I just copied and pasted the generated HTML.) I understand I need to use something like .bind or .live to make the Cycle plugin 'see' the new images. I have tried everything I can think of but I can't make it work. What am I doing wrong ?

  • Getting table schema from a query

    - by Appu
    As per MSDN, SqlDataReader.GetSchemaTable returns column metadata for the query executed. I am wondering is there a similar method that will give table metadata for the given query? I mean what tables are involved and what aliases it has got. In my application, I get the query and I need to append the where clause programically. Using GetSchemaTable(), I can get the column metadata and the table it belongs to. But even though table has aliases, it still return the real table name. Is there a way to get the aliase name for that table? Following code shows getting the column metadata. const string connectionString = "your_connection_string"; string sql = "select c.id as s,c.firstname from contact as c"; using(SqlConnection connection = new SqlConnection(connectionString)) using(SqlCommand command = new SqlCommand(sql, connection)) { connection.Open(); SqlDataReader reader = command.ExecuteReader(CommandBehavior.KeyInfo); DataTable schema = reader.GetSchemaTable(); foreach (DataRow row in schema.Rows) { foreach (DataColumn column in schema.Columns) { Console.WriteLine(column.ColumnName + " = " + row[column]); } Console.WriteLine("----------------------------------------"); } Console.Read(); } This will give me details of columns correctly. But when I see BaseTableName for column Id, it is giving contact rather than the alias name c. Is there any way to get the table schema and aliases from a query like the above? Any help would be great!

  • What is a faster way of merging the values of this Python structure into a single dictionary?

    - by jcoon
    I've refactored how the merged-dictionary (all_classes) below is created, but I'm wondering if it can be more efficient. I have a dictionary of dictionaries, like this: groups_and_classes = {'group_1': {'class_A': [1, 2, 3], 'class_B': [1, 3, 5, 7], 'class_c': [1, 2], # ...many more items like this }, 'group_2': {'class_A': [11, 12, 13], 'class_C': [5, 6, 7, 8, 9] }, # ...and many more items like this } A function creates a new object from groups_and_classes like this (the function to create this is called often): all_classes = {'class_A': [1, 2, 3, 11, 12, 13], 'class_B': [1, 3, 5, 7, 9], 'class_C': [1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9] } Right now, there is a loop that does this: all_classes = {} for group in groups_and_classes.values(): for c, vals in group.iteritems(): for v in vals: if all_classes.has_key(c): if v not in all_classes[c]: all_classes[c].append(v) else: all_classes[c] = [v] So far, I changed the code to use a set instead of a list since the order of the list doesn't matter and the values need to be unique: all_classes = {} for group in groups_and_classes.values(): for c, vals in group.iteritems(): try: all_classes[c].update(set(vals)) except KeyError: all_classes[c] = set(vals) This is a little nicer, and I didn't have to convert the sets to lists because of how all_classes is used in the code. Question: Is there a more efficient way of creating all_classes (aside from building it at the same time groups_and_classes is built, and changing everywhere this function is called)?
