• Problems with overlapping ChildWindows in Silverlight

  Hello, I have a Silverlight application. At some point the app shows a ChildWindow with two datagrids and three buttons on it. One of the buttons is 'Reset To Defaults'. After it's pressed, the app shows another ChildWindow on top of the current one in order to ask confirmation. After the second ChildWindow is closed the first one starts to act funny. It's still changing highlighting of the elements on mouse events (mouseover on a grid element, click on a button). But clicking on the buttons doesn't fire my custom event handlers anymore. The only thing which is working on the ChildWindow is a small cross button created by the framework itself in the upper-right corner of the ChildWindow. I'd be grateful for any ideas on the cause of the problem or how to resolve it. Thanks.

  i have a problem is i got UItabbarController it contain 3 Tabbars each tabbar need to create own UINavigationController for them? in IB it can only link UINavigationController to 1 navigationcontroller of tabbar only. it can't multiple link. how can i resolve for it. i want to hide and unhide my toolbar. i think it it a bad idea if i must create 3 uinavigationcontroller instance variable for each tabbar. how can i reslove this issue?

• Using ASP.NET Session for Lifetime Management (Unity)

  I am considering using Unity to manage the lifetime of a custom user class instance. I am planning on extending the LifetimeManager with a custom ASP.NET session manager. What I want to be able to do is store and retrieve the currently logged in user object from my custom classes, and have Unity get the instance of User from the session object in ASP.NET, or (when in a Win32 project) retrieve it statically or from the current thread. So far my best solution is to create a static instance of my Unity container on startup, and use the Resolve method to get my User object from each of my classes. However, this seems to create a dependency on the unity container in my other classes. What is the more "Unity" way of accomplishing this goal? I would like to be able to read/replace the current User instance from any class.

• Java session facade not being found via InitialContext lookups

  I have a project that is Java EE 5 running on Glassfish. The IDE is Netbeans 6.7.1. We periodically have a very annoying problem with new session facades not being located via InitialContext: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: No object bound to name java:comp/env/GlobalConfigEntityFacadeLocal In my class (within the same EJB container), I can use the other session facades just fine. This sort of problem happens periodically, and a mixture of clean&build and deleting the build-impl.xml files from nbproject sometimes resolve this. • FieldError when annotating over foreign keys

  I have a models file that looks similar to the following: class WithDate(models.Model): adddedDate = models.DateTimeField(auto_now_add=True) modifiedDate = models.DateTimeField(auto_now=True) class Meta: abstract = True class Match(WithDate): ... class Notify(WithDate): matchId = models.ForeignKey(Match) headline = models.CharField(null=True, blank=True, max_length=10) For each Match I'm trying to get a count of notify records that have a headline. So my call looks like matchObjs = Match.objects.annotate(notifies_made=Count('notify__headline__isnull')) This keeps throwing a FieldError. I've simplified the query down to matchObjs = Match.objects.annotate(notifies_made=Count('notify')) And I still get the same FieldError... I've seen this work in other cases (other documentation, other SO questions like this one) but I can't figure out why I'm getting an error. The specific error that is returned is as follows: Cannot resolve keyword 'notify' into field. Choices are: (all fields from Match model) Does anyone have a clue as to why I can't get this annotation to work across tables? I'm baffled after looking at the other SO question and various Django docs where I've seen this done. Edit: I am using Django 1.1.1

• How do I fix SVC-FILWRT on Windows?

  I have to do some processing (enhancing metadata) on the XML document that are on my Marklogic database. For that I have created a new HTTP server that is pointing towards the database. Using that HTTP server, I write a XQuey that loop through all the XML documents in Marklogic database and send these XML documents to particular URL that reads the content from that document, append some metadata and then store back to ML. This is something I have tried on Linux platform with same version of Marklogic and it works great for me. But now, when I am trying the same on window platform (Windows 7 Enterprise addition) and it's not working. Approaches I tried to resolve that: Running Marklogic Server as "Run as Administrator". Putting HTTP server's Base directory into D:/ directory i.e. directory that does not have windows installed within it. Above same with putting forest to D:/ directory. • Can I use AppDomain.AssemblyResolve Event to redirect a failed Assembly Load?

  By default, my application references a mixed mode DLL, so this DLL is both 32 and 64 bit. On a 32 bit system, my app is MSIL and loads the 32 bit DLL. On a 64 bit system, my app loads the 64 bit. However on a 64 bit system, in an older version of the assembly that I am referencing, they only created a 32 bit version. So I fail to load this. I was looking at doing it dynamically, and ideally I would want my MSIL app in 64 bit mode to load the 32 bit DLL. Is this possible? Also it would be nice to resolve it to a different version than what I have referenced as well. Any help appreciated.

  I want to have some url for my infopath form and give that link to user instead of going to form library and click new...how is it possible? Also when I created Infopath form I have given some text fields and button, I don't want the Infopath services buttons(Save,save as...) how I cna remove those? I published my form into document library. I click new and fill information and submit its working fine but when I reopen it again and try to submit it ...its giving me error...that some rules are not correct ...the rules I have on submit button are submit to document library and close after submitting.Any idea how to resolve this....   Hi, This question may not be exactly programming related, but this is about development. I have been trying to find IDEs that support JIRA/Bugzilla so that I could simply integrate the IDE with SourceForge. I do not like to refresh my browser to see issues, bug reports, security problems, etc. I would like to send issues, resolve issues, right from the IDE. I am currently developing with NetBeans, but I see no ways of integrating into any of the services provided by SourceForge. Am I missing something?

  I am running into an issue when using my Castle Windsor Controller Factory with the new RenderAction method. I get the following error message: A single instance of controller 'MyController' cannot be used to handle multiple requests. If a custom controller factory is in use, make sure that it creates a new instance of the controller for each request. • How to register data for validation using RegisterForEventValidation in asp.net

  I would like to know the method of using RegisterForEventValidation in asp.net My problem is this. If I enable eventvalidation, then changing the controls using javascript and then posting the information back to the server later on throws up an error. But If I disable event validation, the data present/selected in the controls is not available in the event handlers in code behind. So, how should one resolve such issues? Also, are there are any good articles that explain the issue and a resolution in detail? Tried googling. Came across many articles. But nothing that matched my expectations. Thanks!

• Confirmation box pops up more than once using ajax

  I'm using Ajax to delete records and display an animated message (function display_message) when this record is deleted, but I noticed that the confirmation box pops up depending on the number of records. for example if I have 2 records in my list and I want to delete on of them.The confirmation box pops up twice before deleting and the same thing happen with the message, It appears twice(I'm using a message that fade in and out), and so on(3 records - 3 pops up, etc). I tried a lot to resolve it but I haven't succeed .   hi! in my website when session gets timed out nd after that we click on any button or perform action it gives random error as input string not in correct format.. how do i resolve problem?? i've 500 pages in whole website...and 20 master pages...so can't check for session on each page... i wrote code in global.asax application_error method...tht if error occur and session is null than redirect to default page..it worked....but when page is in frame..it does not refresh the whole pahe..only frame redirects the page...so the panel of master page remains same..

• Problem with assembly loading in .NET

  Hi guys, I have got two projects in my solution: Silverlight and standard one. The standard one references System.Xml assembly (version 4.0.0.0), however the Silverlight one references System.Xml assembly (v. 2.0.5.0). I want to make an instance of XmlWriter in my Silverlight project. Here comes the problem - the exception is thrown (file not found for System.Xml assembly). I believe it is a matter of different assembly versions. Do you have any idea how to resolve this issue? Ive read something about the binding redirection - is it the key to the solution? • Publish web application from MSBuild Script using VS2010 targets resets working directory

  I am trying to automatically publish and deploy my .Net 4 web application automatically from a build script to be run by our continuous integration server. I am using the new _WPPCopyWebApplication target from VS2010 to perform the publish, however it appears to reset the current working directory of the msbuild project to c:\ this causes my prebuild steps to fail as they have relative paths to some external tools. The task I am running from our master.build file is as follows: <Target Name="PublishWeb"> <MSBuild Projects="$(ProjectPath)" Targets="ResolveReferences;_WPPCopyWebApplication" Properties="WebProjectOutputDir=$(DeployPath);OutDir=$(TempOutputFolder)$(WebOutputFolder)\;OutputPath=$(ProjectPath)\bin\Debug;" /> </Target> This does not happen when using the legacy _CopyWebApplication.   I want to tune object caching in my sharepoint environment. The way to do is check sharepoint publishing cache counter through perfmon on your farm. I have one application server and 2 WFE but when I am trying to create counter for my WFE its showing Sharepoint publishing cache but I am not able to add any instance of it but when I select my application server I can see all the instances. But If I want to check publishing hit ratio i need to run this on WFE also ...correct me if I m wrong? How to resolve this issue? Also, how to check the hit ratio as our site is not go-live so we don't get enuf users to hit the site to check this thing. Does it means that I can tune it up only my site go live and real load will get on it. Thanks, Amit

• $(MSBuildStartupDirectory) in Visual Studio points to different places on different machines

  In a large solution, I'm integrating Gendarme into Visual Studio 2008 compilation process. I am using GendarmeMsBuild task along with a .targets file to add a AfterBuild target to every project in the solution. I am looking for a way to import this file into .csproj files in a way that wouldn't require me to change the include path (the projects have different nesting levels). Apart from using NuGet SolutionDir variable, best way to solve this seemed to be to use $(MSBuildStartupDirectory). However, as it turns out, on some machines, using the same version of VS 2008 (as same updates installed, as far as I was able to check) this resolves to the solution directory, and on others to c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE. How can I either get this to always resolve to the solution folder or obtain the base folder in another consistent way?

  I recently moved a project on github and I still use this library in some svn projects as external. However I can't get github svn interface working at this time. If I run svn list http://svn.github.com/fabn/zle.git I obtain this error svn: Server sent unexpected return value (500 Internal Server Error) in response to PROPFIND request for '/fabn/zle.git/!svn/bc/0' If I run the same command using a fork of my project the list (and also the checkout) goes fine and i obtain what I need (this is the command svn list http://svn.github.com/JellyBelly/zle.git) Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue or it's a github problem?

  I'm trying to validate an XML file against a number of different schemas (apologies for the contrived example): a.xsd b.xsd c.xsd c.xsd in particular imports b.xsd and b.xsd imports a.xsd, using: <xs:include schemaLocation="b.xsd"/> I'm trying to do this via Xerces in the following manner: XMLSchemaFactory xmlSchemaFactory = new XMLSchemaFactory(); Schema schema = xmlSchemaFactory.newSchema(new StreamSource[] { new StreamSource(this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("a.xsd"), "a.xsd"), new StreamSource(this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("b.xsd"), "b.xsd"), new StreamSource(this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("c.xsd"), "c.xsd")}); Validator validator = schema.newValidator(); validator.validate(new StreamSource(new StringReader(xmlContent))); but this is failing to import all three of the schemas correctly resulting in cannot resolve the name 'blah' to a(n) 'group' component. I've validated this successfully using Python, but having real problems with Java 6.0 and Xerces 2.8.1. Can anybody suggest what's going wrong here, or an easier approach to validate my XML documents?
