    Hi all, I have an asp.net page that runs certain algorithm and returns it's output. I was wondering what will happen and how to handle a case where the algorithm due to a bug goes into infinite loop. It will hog the cpu and other sessions will be served very slowly. I would love to have a way to tell IIS, if processing Algo.aspx takes more than 5 seconds, kill it or something like that. Thanks in advance

    I've used the SQL Profiler to generate a trace file, and tuning advisor to take that trace file and provide some recommendations on db updates. However, the SQL Profiler doesn't seem to track the queries when running against a Reporting Server, the profiler doesn't seem to be capturing any of the queries. I'm logging the defaults (SQL:BatchCompleted and Starting, RPC:completed, and Sessions - Existing Connections) What events should I be capturing in SQL Profiler in order to run the tuning advisor?

So, each installation of the application might have different timeouts for their sessions, but they web.xml cannot be different. Is there a way to set the session timeout programatically, so that I could use, say, ServletContextListener.contextInitialized() to read the configured interval and set it upon application startup?     Doesn't prepare() escape any quotes(') in a PDO statement? For some reason when I do this: $sql = "INSERT INTO sessions (id, name) VALUES (1,'O'brian')"; $query = $this->connection->prepare($sql); $query->execute(); I get this error: Could not insert record SQLSTATE[42000]: [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server]Incorrect syntax near 'brian'. How could this be if I'm using prepare()?
