  I have 50 different websites that use the same layout and code base, but mostly non-overlapping data (regional support sites, not link farm). Is there a way to have a single installation of the code and run all 50 at the same time? When I have a bug to fix (or deploy new feature), I want to deploy ONE time + 1 restart and be done with it. Also: Code needs to know what domain the request is coming to so the appropriate data is displayed.

  Hi i have a web application where i plant a cookie on my page. Then the user goes to another page, and from that page calls my page from a script, like this: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://domain.com/page.aspx?id=6" ></script> But i cant access the cookie when it calls my page, why not? and how to work around it? • TFS 2005 version control DLLs in the bin folder?

  I noticed that the DLLs in the bin folder for asp.net websites do not seem to be getting saved. When I goto a new computer and get latest I am missing the DLLs. What is the correct way to fix this ? Should I create a seperate folder to contains all DLLs ? And then can I somehow tell my bin references to goto that folder to get the DLLs?

The reason is that my library plugs into other websites and I don't want to ask them to include the extra library (sizzle) as well.   Different websites are giving different opinions. My understanding is this: To clean up or reclaim the memory that an object occupies, the Garbage collector comes into action. (automatically is invoked???) The garbage collector then dereferences the object. Sometimes, there is no way for the garbage collector to access the object. Then finalize is invoked to do a final clean up processing after which the garbage collector can be invoked. is this right?

  Hi, Can anybody detail some approach on how to save private data in social websites like facebook, etc. They cant save all the updates and friends list in clear text format because of privacy issues. So how do they actually save it? Hashing all the data with user password so that only a valid session view it is one possibility. This article states that 73% of websites they tested rely on JavaScript for important functionality, but it seems to me that the number must be larger. Have any surveys been done on this topic?
