  • SCCM 2012 Clients no longer detecting

    Here is the scenario I had a fully functioning SCCM 2012 site server with the DP, MP, SUP, Application catalog, etc. roles configured and working. There is only one server on this site. Everything was great but i was not happy with SUP, so i decided to create a separate WSUS server and configure Windows Updates through GPOs. That setup worked great as well so i went ahead and removed the SUP role from SCCM and removed the WSUS feature from my SCCM server (they were configured on the same SCCM Server). I did not notice any problems right away. A couple days later i noticed that the OSD deployments were giving errors, and after a couple hours of trying suggestions from Google, i was able to uninstall PXE and make a few changes and reinstall with WDS to get it working again. Again, thought everything was fine and continued on. The last couple days i have noticed that any new machine deployed or installing the Client will show in the SCCM console as "No" Client. The client machines will show connected to a site but the software center shows "IT Organization" instead of our site like the previous clients. The existing clients all seem to be functioning normally. they still receive application distributions and configuration baselines, etc. Reinstalling, uninstalling and reinstalling, repairing does not fix the problems and this happens on all new clients. ClientLocation.log shows it connecting to the correct MP.   • C library build system dependencies

    Hello all, This debate has cropped up on a mailing list for a project I'm involved in. Unfortunately we're quite a small bunch at the moment, so I want to ask a wider audience. We're writing a C library (for arbitrary precision arithmetic) and are investigating build systems. Currently we have a bash script in desperate need of work. I believe we can't use autotools etc due to licensing (bsd vs gpl). So I suggested we use a modern scripting language like python or perl. The question is: is having something like perl or python around at build time an unrealistic dependency on Unix-like platforms these days?

  • IVR-style dialog system / workflow / menu

    I need to build a dialog system similar to IVR used in call centers. My system is not phone-based, but the dialog is similar. Something like System: "Main menu: Enter [1] for menu1, [2] for menu2" User: [1] System: "menu1: enter [1] for apples, [2] for oranges, [3] for main menu" User: [7] System: "What??" System: "menu1: enter [1] for apples, [2] for oranges, [3] for main menu" User: [2] ... and so on I want to have a nice declarative description of all the possible options and a nice way to run through that tree, guided by user input. Already considered: ANTLR-generated lexer/parser (seems to be an overkill), SCXML-based state machine (seems like only transitions can be declared, the rest needs to be coded)

  • Where to find iPhone system buttons and icons graphics?

    Hey guys, I'm trying to find a way to use the original Apple system buttons and icons in a web site. Is there a way to get these original graphics in png format? There are not-so-nice ways to obtain them of course. Two I was thinking of: Save them from this link, then convert to png. Take screen captures on the iPhone itself, and cut the icons from the saved images. Is anyone aware of a nicer way to obtain the original graphics? Does anyone know where they are stored on the Mac? Go here to try it! http://www.belgeler.com/blg/2hni/griffiths-introduction-to-electrodynamics-3-ed-solutions-manual It's wonderful, after a few seconds, top shows that our good friend plugin-container takes 83% of the physical memory (8 GB) before everything freezes and the PC doesn't respond. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 and I have an nvidia (GTS 250) card with the "post-release updates" version of the driver. OFFTOPIC: Yes, it's the solutions manual. I'm self-studying so I don't have a professor to check my work. Please don't judge me :)

    Sony Windows 7 PC. Originally had 2 x 300 Gb HDD. One HDD completely pancaked so have replaced with a new 500 Gb HDD. When both drives are connected the 300GB doesn't appear to be recognized as a 300Gb HDD as a separate entity. BIOS sees it but the operating system only sees a total of 465GB of HD space. When both disks are attached under disk management it shows one 465Gb as RAID 0 and the new drive as STxxxxxx 465Gb. My question I guess is what should I see in total HDD space and is this configured correctly as I thought I would see 2 separate drives 1x500Gb and 1x300Gb. My customer insisted that prior to the HDD crash he saw 2 drives both registering as 300Gb (a c: and d: drive).

I've just installed apache and php from sources using next commands: ./configure --prefix="/mnt/workspace/servers/web/apache-2.2.17" \ --enable-info --enable-rewrite --enable-usertrack --enable-mime-magic for apache and ./configure --with-apxs2=/mnt/workspace/servers/web/apache-2.2.17/bin/apxs \ --prefix=/mnt/workspace/servers/web/apache-2.2.17/php \ --with-config-file-path=/mnt/workspace/servers/web/apache-2.2.17/php \ --with-mysql=mysqlnd for php. After adjusting configuration (httpd.conf) and starting apache it gives a 403 response on http://localhost:8060/index.html (presuming that 8060 is used) request.   • Developing a php system that tracks other websites analytics

    I want to develop a PHP website feature where users sign up, get a javascript snippet code that display an image on their site, and let's me track the number of visitors, unique hits, clicks and average visitor duration on their page. Is that something that should be done with some open source analytic software such as http://piwik.org/ or it's pretty doable on your own? If I had to do it myself from scratch, I would use image/pixel as a way to track the visit, drop a cookie with javascript snippet to track uniques, track clicks based on image click and redirect, and not sure about the bounce rate. Any thoughts or opinions are welcome.

  • System hang when using SSHFS

    This is just a quick note that I want to share with others. It is about the problem that I encountered with my office machine. It was hanging continuously when ssh mount was used. The main problem is, as I assumed, the termination of ssh session, which caused the sshfs not to respond. The solution for this issue is the ServerAliveInterval 60 directive in /etc/ssh/ssh_config file. Hope this someone help!

  • How to determine which source files are required for an Eclipse run configuration

    When writing code in an Eclipse project, I'm usually quite messy and undisciplined in how I create and organize my classes, at least in the early hacky and experimental stages. In particular, I create more than one class with a main method for testing different ideas that share most of the same classes. If I come up with something like a useful app, I can export it to a runnable jar so I can share it with friends. But this simply packs up the whole project, which can become several megabytes big if I'm relying on large library such as httpclient. Also, if I decide to refactor my lump of code into several projects once I work out what works, and I can't remember which source files are used in a particular run configuration, all I can do it copy the main class to a new project and then keep copying missing types till the new project compiles. Is there a way in Eclipse to determine which classes are actually used in a particular run configuration? EDIT: Here's an example. Say I'm experimenting with web scraping, and so far I've tried to scrape the search-result pages of both youtube.com and wrzuta.pl. I have a bunch of classes that implement scraping in general, a few that are specific to each of youtube and wrzuta. On top of this I have a basic gui common to both scrapers, but a few wrzuta- and youtube-specific buttons and options. The WrzutaGuiMain and YoutubeGuiMain classes each contain a main method to configure and show the gui for each respective website. Can Eclipse look at each of these to determine which types are referenced?

  • Moving Zend Framework 2 from apache to nginx

    I would like to move site that uses Zend Framework 2 from Apache to Nginx. The problem is that site have 6 modules, and apache handles it by aliases defined in httpd-vhosts.conf, #httpd-vhosts.conf <VirtualHost _default_:443> ServerName localhost:443 Alias /develop/cpanel "C:/webapps/develop/mil_catele_cp/public" Alias /develop/docs/tech "C:/webapps/develop/mil_catele_tech_docs/public" Alias /develop/docs "C:/webapps/develop/mil_catele_docs/public" Alias /develop/auth "C:/webapps/develop/mil_catele_auth/public" Alias /develop "C:/webapps/develop/mil_web_dicom_viewer/public" DocumentRoot "C:/webapps/mil_catele_homepage" </VirtualHost> in httpd.conf DocumentRoot is set to C:/webapps. Sites are avialeble at for example localhost/develop/cpanel. Framework handles further routing. In Nginx I was able to make only one site available by specifing root C:/webapps/develop/mil_catele_tech_docs/public; in server block. It works only because docs module don't depend on auth like others, and site was at localhost/. In next attempt: root C:/webapps; location /develop/auth { root C:/webapps/develop/mil_catele_auth/public; try_files $uri $uri/ /develop/mil_catele_auth/public/index.php$is_args$args; } Now as I enter localhost/develop/cpanel it gets to correct index.php but can't find any resources (css,js files). I have no Idea why reference paths in browswer's GET requsts changed to https://localhost/css/bootstrap.css form https://localhost/develop/auth/css/bootstrap.css as it was on apache. This root directive seems not working. Nginx handles php by using fastCGI location ~ \.(php|phtml)?$ { fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:9000; fastcgi_index index.php; fastcgi_param APPLICATION_ENV production; fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $document_root$fastcgi_script_name; include fastcgi_params; } I googled whole day, and found nothing usefull. Can someone help me make this configuration work like on Apache?

When I try and do the "ConfigurationManager.GetSection()", it doesn't populate my collection variable. Can anyone see any mistakes in my code?   • If two separate PATH directories contain a same-named executable, how does Windows choose?

    I'm in the process of upgrading PEAR (PHP) on my system. The upgrade script is encouraging me to add "..\PHP\PEAR" to my PATH so that I can use "pear.bat". However, I already am able to use pear.bat. Looking in my PATH, I see that I don't have any PEAR directories, only my PHP directory. Opening my PHP directory, I see that there's a "pear.bat" in the base. But there's also a pear.bat in the PEAR subfolder of PHP. I'm wondering if I borked a PEAR install. I digress. So if I leave ..\PHP in my path, but also add ..\PHP\PEAR -- both of which have a "pear.bat" in them -- which one will Windows "choose"? How does Windows decide?

  • How to enable ajax when deriving from System.Web.UI.WebControls.WebControl on controls that are crea

    I've built a class that derives from System.Web.UI.WebControl. It basically renders pagination links (same as what you see on top of GridView when enabled) for use above a repeater. I'm creating some anchor tags explicitly inside my nav control obviously, but they don't perform ajax postbacks. My understanding is that ajax requires POSTS to work right? Well, these would be GETs which I think is the problem. Is there a way to achieve what I'm trying to do? Thanks!

  • Recommended total system backup solution

    I hope this question won't get closed immediately since it has a generic title. I already searched a bit around the answers here, but nothing satisfied me. I want a back-up solution that makes a total back-up, so that I can restore my Ubuntu in case of major failures, like HDD failing. As far as I can see, I have 2 choices: 1) Backing up with Deja Dup to an external disk. This is fine and I am already doing, but in case my HDD fails, and I make a new Ubuntu install on a new disk, will Deja Dup be able to restore all my setting and stuff from the backed up files? If it can, then what other files/folders should I add in Deja Dup to back-up (currently I have set only the recommended /home folder)? Is there a point in telling Deja Dup to back-up everything under "/" ? 2) A disk/partition cloning software. This would be something similar to Noton ghost. Is there such a software with nice GUI that you could recommend for Ubuntu? And even better, it would be nice if Ubuntu's liveCD could recognize such a clone at install step. I am using 11.10
