• Problem mapping data located in a NSMutableArray

  I have an NSMutableArray which contains some addresses which I need to map using Apple's MapKit SDK which I can't seem to get to load. The NSLog keeps telling me that the data source is (null) and a 0x0 error displays when I attempt to print out the array. Any ideas? The data is parsed and stored from another class, perhaps I'm not linking it across properly? The data is originally gathered from an RSS feed, bought into the app with an IMporter class, and then displayed in a table view. I want to be able to connect into that data with my mapping class, but am struggling to do so.

  Hey guys! So i'm having problems with my assignment. I successfully got it to run multiple last names by the author, but now, I need to find all books by author, which means searching the collection for all books that match the specified author and I also need to find all books by publisher, which displays a list of books by the specified publisher. How would I implement this? Would I use string or vector? Any help will be much appreciated!

• Iterating ListView items in Android

  I want to iterate a list of items into a ListView. This code below is not enough to iterate all the items into the list because of the weird behaviour of getChildCount() function which only returns the visible item count. for (int i = 0; i < list.getChildCount(); i++) { item = (View)list.getChildAt(i); product = (Product)item.getTag(); // make some visual changes if product.id == someProductId } My screen displays 7 results and when there are more than 7 items into the list, it's not possible to access to the 8th item or so.. Only visible items.. Should I use ListIterator instead? Thanks.

  I already created a custom 404 page inside my web app deployed in JBoss AS 7.1. So if my app is at fubar dot com :8080/Myapp and I go to fubar dot com :8080/Myapp/xyzzy, I get the custom error page (defined in the web app's web.xml file). However, when I go to fubar dot com :8080/xyzzy, JBoss displays the default 404 page which discloses that it's JBoss and which JBoss version. I need to replace this page in order to hide this information. Please advise.

  I have a list box that displays information off of a column of a dataset. I would like the number of rows displayed to be all the rows that are in the dataset (the number of datasets in the rows vary). I'm figuring it has something to do with ListBox.Rows = Dataset.Tables[0].Rows.Count; But it seems to just always default to 4 even when it is only 2. • How do I use a contact's photo in a table view cell?

  I've got an app that has a table view that displays contact information in each row. I'd like to use the contact's stored image (if there is one available) as the image on the left-hand side of the cell. I've found some sketchy sample code in Apple's documentation, but the address book references some kind of weird data type (CFDataRef) that doesn't appear to correspond to the data types referenced in the table view programming guide (mainly UIImage). This seems like a pretty basic task, but I can't seem to wrap my head around it. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

  I am trying to implement a paging system that displays nearby page numbers as well as pages at each extreme. For example, if the user is on page 20 of 40, the following links should be displayed: 1, 2 ... 18, 19, [20], 21, 22 ... 39, 40. The solution would be similar to the one described here: http://90poe.com/alex-lee-on-bell-curve-pagination I have seen code to do this in PHP, but not in ASP.net (ideally I am looking for C# code).   I can listen to events from a certain topic in an ActiveMQ server using a simple asynchronous listener and print the incoming events to the console (code to that actually comes as an example in the activemq-cpp library). I would like to create clients on other machines that will listen to these events and update their displays. My question is: how to best go about doing this? Are there any Ajax examples you can point me that implement similar functionality? Or is there another technology (comet?) that is better to use for this scenario? How can I display the events in teh browser window as they are received by the client, should I use JQuery?

  I have created a table in my Ruby on Rails application that I am building called Tags. It is a blog application so I allow the user to associate tags with a post and do this through a :posts, :has_many = tags and Tag belongs_to :post association. Now that I have my Tags table I am trying to see how I would render the view such that it displays the tag and tag count. (it should be noted that I am trying to render this in the /views/posts/index.html.erb file). For instance, if there are 10 entries in the Tag table for tag_name Sports. How can I display Sports (10) in the view. I am not looking to do this for a specific tag but rather, somehow search the table, combine like tags and display a list of all tags with counts next to them. (I really want these to be a link to a list of posts that contain that tag but I learned early on only to ask one question at a time). Hope that makes sense.

  Hey Guys I tried out Simple Modal for my modal dialog needs. The jQuery $(function() { $('#showDialog').click(function() { $('<div><p> Click Here! </p></div>').modal({ overlayClose: true, opacity: 30 }) }); }); The CSS was as follows: #simplemodal-overlay { background-color: #000; } #simplemodal-container { background-color: #333; border: 8px solid #444; padding: 12px; } In IE6 and 7, it displays a nice, very transparent, gray overlay with a dark small box in the middle with the text 'Click Here!'. But in CHROME (4.0.249.43) I get a dark black overlay with 100% opacity. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

• Resizing iframe height using javascript issue

  I have an iframe which content is a php-file, and that php-file displays some mysql records. The more records, the larger the iframe height should get, otherwise it wont show all of the information in the iframe. Here is a code I have for dynamically setting the iframe height, from the iframes content (the php file): var x = document.body.scrollHeight; x = x + 20 + 'px'; window.parent.document.getElementById("iframe001").style.height=x; iframe001 is the iframe I am referring to above. I am adding 20px of height extra because of borders etc... Now, sometimes this resizing works, sometimes it doesn't. Does anybody know why it works sometimes. If I alert the 'x' variable, it shows different values sometimes, but most times it works. Any other ways you know of setting the iframes height from the content of the iframe? Thanks

In order to preserve the formatting, I currently wrap the presentation in <pre> - this works to preserve user-supplied breaks, but when there's a lot of text saved as a single line, it displays the whole text block as single line, resulting in horizontal scrolling being needed to see everything. Is there a graceful way to handle both of these cases?

  Hi guys, I've just installed and setup sIFR on my Magento store. An example page can be seen here: http://www.mint-creative.co.uk/shop And you can see it loads the heading brilliantly, but still displays the alternate text-only headline. I've quadruple checked the .css files and everything's loading ok I think. Also, in IE it doesn't display at all and every .css and .js file has an error according to the error log in IE8. If I open that file in 010 Editor (to view the binary data) it displays as this: 47 43 44 53 79 73 74 65 6D 73 3F 0A 01 32 31 36 The original byte array contained 89 at position 11, and the encoded string contains 3F. If I change my encoding to Encoding.Default.GetString, it gives me: 47 43 44 53 79 73 74 65 6D 73 E2 80 B0 0A 01 32 31 36 Any help would be much appreciated!

• AngularJS, changing the data in a view without div disappearing

  I'm making a little wizard/survey in AngularJS which loads in data to a variable, $scope.styles. I've set up a plunkr for ease of use here: http://plnkr.co/edit/1S542YE7xlO2P4zyhzu0?p=preview Pretty simple. I show each object to the user in succession, which loads in the pertinent images and displays them for the user. clicking "yes/no" at the bottom of the images it loads in the next gallery. There is a big of lag between the refresh here (Plunkr seems to be loading it quite quickly, but this is not the case on my production server so it's even more noticable) which causes the window size to momentarily be much smaller plus all the content below the ng-repeat jumps to the top of the screen. What's the best way to prevent this from happening? Is CSS the only solution here?

• Wpf button click when application window is not active

  I have a WPF application window with a button (ButtonA) which has a command binding to a View Model property. When another application is launched the focus is lost and application window is deactivated. Clicking ButtonA now doesn’t execute the command but instead only activates the window and sets the focus to the button. 2nd click is required to fire the command. The desired functionality is on click of ButtonA while the application window is not active, the application window activates and command associated with ButtonA is executed. I have also tried removing the command and adding a click handler for test purpose but this displays same behaviour. I appreciate any help with this issue.

However, in firefox, the elements are displyed on to the next line as well. How do I get them to display in 1 single line in firefox. • C# Why does this code not show a GUI properly?

However when i run the above my GUI displays but with the windows hourglass? Could someone show me a quick fix so that i can still crudely show the GUI, let the application code run and then later write to the GUI?
