  • Render an asynchronous report, wider than the screen, without extra scrollbars

    I have an asynchronous local SSRS 2005 report that is of variable height and width, but routinely is bigger than the screen. I want to render it full size so that some of the report renders off screen and the only scrollbars the user sees are the ones on the browser window. What is the best way to accomplish this? The only method that I've found that even comes remotely close to what I want is to set static width/height values that are much larger than the report will ever be. But, this is undesirable since it leaves so much extra whitespace in the browser window. Has anyone had success rendering asynchronous reports without the extra scrollbars?

  • Screen Resolution Question VS2008 - C++ CLI

    Hi, I have a program that has a SIZE of 800x600. I want to make this program expand if it is maximized, so that all the elements(buttons, picturebox's) change size to fit the new ratio depending on the users windows screen resolution. The way I am thinking to approach this is to take the users screen resolution and manual change the size of everything, and do this for all common resolutions, if a user has some rare resolution, ill just make it so the maximize/minimize buttons are disabled. But this will be very very time consuming as there are lots of elements in the forms, and their are multiple forms..... Basically, is there a shortcut? Perhaps a built in feature or some kind of add in for VS2008. What are some methods to tackle this issue?

  • Flickering Task Bar on Full Screen Windows Mobile 6 Apps

    Just finishing off an update to an application written in VB.NET that used to run fine under CE.NET 4.2. Deployment platform is now Windows Mobile 6.1. The application runs in full screen, however whenever a new form is opened, the task bar, i.e. the bar with the start button comes to the fore and then the new form takes over. This is particularly annoying as I have a form that has many sub forms which are 128,128 and still the task bar flashes and obscures part of the user input screen. Has anyone comes across this? Any known workarounds?

    I have a div which, when my page is first loaded, is about 100px from the top (it holds some buttons etc. for the page). When a user scrolls past it, I would like the div to "follow" the user in that it attaches to the top of the screen. When the user returns to the top of the page, I want it back in its original position.   • Logging to screen and to a file

    What design pattern might apply to logging? What is normally used in this type of situation? Any good tutorials? I am writing a client-server application using C89 and gcc 4.4.4. I now need to implement some logging feature that will display log messages on the screen as well as log to a file. However, I don't want to display all log messages (warning, error, critical, unrecoverable, debug, etc). Maybe I can set so that it will display just errors and nothing else. For example, the user might not be interested in the debug messages on the screen output.

  • Creating a popup tool bar in a full screen NSOpenGLView (OSX Cocoa)

    I have a Cocoa app in which one of my NSOpenGLViews can go into full screen mode (I do this with the method enterFullScreenMode:withOptions:). I would like to create a little widget that when you mouse over it, a toolbar pops up with some different controls. I am wondering what would be the best way to implement this widget? At first I thought about using a panel but I don't think you can bring up any windows when in full screen mode. Also, it seems that you can't add a subview to an NSOpenGLView? Are these two assumptions correct? What else could I use to accomplish this?

  • ubuntu 10.04 logs itself out overnight

    Every night when I leave work, I lock the screen via ubuntu's "power" button in the top right hand panel. When I come to work in the morning, I'm greeted with the log-in screen.   • Word 2010 & 2007 Blue Background on screen as default

    Default blue background and white text in Microsoft Word. I have just moved to Word 2010 (Student Version now released) and although it is possible to create individual documents with a blue background it is not possible to set the program with a blue background as a default. I understand this was discontinued with Office 2007. The only way I can open a document with a blue background is to create a Template with a blue background and use that for each document I wish to create. I'm sure there must be a method of hacking the registry to accomplish this. Can you assist. There must be countless people who who they knew how.

  • Laptop Asus P50IJ with Intel 4500M GMA output going to a Dell 1907FP external monitor will not allow

    Hello - I just purchased an Asus P50IJ-X2 laptop which has a Intel GMA 4500M video card running Windows7. At work I output this laptop to a Dell 1907FP LCD which has a maximum resolution of 1280x1024. Not matter what I do the Windows will not allow the laptop to set a resolution higher than 1024x768 to this LCD monitor. Ive even gone to the extent of downloading PowerStrip (I'd post a link but Im new and can only enter 1 url, if you google for powerstrip its the first option) to create a custom driver for my monitor thinking Windows was having a hard time seeing the available resolutions it would accept. However, powerstrip read the registery and properly sees the monitor and what its capable of so Im now at a complete loss as to why Windows7 will not allow me to set/use a 1280x1024 resolution for this external monitor (as my last laptop did running Vista). The Intel documentation (http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/quick-reference-guide-to-intel-integrated-graphics/) indicates that the GMA 4500M should be able to run up to a 2560x1600 max res. The Dell 1907FP specification states it can run up to a 1280x1024 res. But no matter what the computer will not allow me to set higher than a 1024x768. I'm completely baffled but I would really like to be able to output this laptop to a reasonable resolution, 1024x768 makes me feel like I'm using my mom's computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!     I have a new monitor which I'm sharing between two computers: a laptop with Windows 7 (Win7 from now on) and a home assembled desktop with Windows Developer Preview (WinDev from now on). Win7 recognizes the monitor resolution of 1920x1080, and many others. WinDev doesn't; the best resolution I get on that OS is 1600x1200.   • Monitor connected with WiDi just shows a black screen

    I have a Dell XPS 18 and want to use an external monitor with it. The monitor has VGA and DVI-D inputs. The XPS 18 has no video output ports, but it does support Intel WiDi. I have a Netgear P2TV2000 WiDi receiver, but it only has composite and HDMI outputs. I'm connecting the receiver to the monitor with an HDMI cable and an HDMI/DVI-D adapter. So, in short, the video path is: Computer → WiDi → WiDi receiver → HDMI cable → HDMI/DVI-D adapter → Monitor After setting all this up, I can't get anything to display on the monitor. At the moment I power the monitor on, I can see my desktop for a brief fraction of a second, and then everything goes black. All of the relevant drivers have been updated to the latest versions. When I use a different WiDi-enabled computer to connect to the same monitor, everything works fine. When I use the original computer and receiver to connect to a TV, everything works fine. It's only when I connect the original computer to the monitor I want to use that the connection fails. What could be going wrong here, and how can I get the video to work consistently?

  • Net Screen manager setup

    I'm having an issue with our NSMExpress box. I'm trying to manage all our devices, range from ns5gt to ssg320m, and some of those devices have addresses assigned by dhcp from the ISP (like pppoe or dsl). The addresses are actually static but we have the register the MAC address in order to get this address. I can actually add the device in NSM except the IP that's on the untrust side isn't imported in as it's dynamic. Because of this I cannot change many options that pertian to the untrust interface as there is no IP. I've talked to JTAC on this and they didn't know if there was a way to do this or not but then they stated that Tim Hortons does this so I'm confused on how to get this working. Maybe i'm just missing something as I imagine that other people must be doing this as well. Any assistance is appreciated! Furthermore when I import a device this is the message I get: Warnings: Interface ethernet0/0 is a pppoe/dhcp/pppoa client and its ip is NOT IMPORTED because it may be dynamic.

  • Eclipse And Linux: Keyboard unusable after gnome-screen-saver

    Hi, I know this is not programming related. But I can't find any topics on Google or UbuntuForums. So the problem is: When gnome-screensaver starts on the moment Eclipse has the focus and I wake up again my laptop, Eclipse doesn't listen to keyboard-events. To solve this I have to change the focus to another program and then back to Eclipse. Than it works again. This isn't a real problem, but it would be nice if someone can solve it. Thanks
