    I am using a Cisco 6500 series with an SSO redundancy configuration. The show redundancy output is as follows: Hardware Mode = Duplex Configured Redundancy Mode = sso Operating Redundancy Mode = rpr Maintenance Mode = Disabled Communications = Up I would assume the device is operating in RPR mode although SSO is configured. What could cause this? Shouldn't the operating mode be SSO?     I am building a small portfolio site for myself and have come across an odd quirk. I have an image inside a container, and to allow for multiple screen sizes, I am setting all dimensions in % rather than pixels. in iphone portrait mode, everything is fine.   • Upgrade from "audit mode" (pre-cloning) Windows 8 to Windows 8.1?

    I have a Windows 8 in audit mode with a lot of applications installed, custom configurations done, and an answer file prepared, ready to be sysprepped for cloning. How do I upgrade to Windows 8.1, when I can't go into the store (Metro apps don't work in audit mode)? If I run sysprep then create a normal account so I can get the upgrade from the store, I suppose there's no way to go back to audit mode, and that's a huge problem as I want to retain the particular account settings I have configured for the audit mode account as a default account. What do I do??

    This might sound weird but there's an explanation for my question: I want to write something to impress a potential recruiter, and I want (to strenghten my skills) to create a program which should communicate with kernel mode driver(s). I'm not starting from a goal and trying to design the system to achieve it, I'm doing the opposite: designing the system and trying to justify it with a meaningful goal. So here comes the question: what could a kernel mode driver be possibly useful to? The answers that come to my mind right now are: I might want to communicate with hardware (not really my case, it's a software project mainly) I might want to mess around with the OS (security/hooking?) ??   • Can you make desktop shortcuts to Seamless mode Windows apps in VirtualBox on OSX?

    Running the latest version of VirtualBox on OSX and hosting a Windows virtual machine. Is there a way to put shortcuts on your Mac desktop for the Windows apps that you run in seamless mode? I can't find a way to do this, so every time I want to newly launch a Windows app in seamless mode I have to access the full Windows desktop, start the app and hit HostKey+L. Really a pain for apps that you want to run in seamless mode all time.

  • Anyone recommend a program to print multiple HTML files at once for end users?

    I have some clients with multiple html files in folders that are occasionally updated & printed. They would like to be able to print them all at once without having to open each one. I typically do this with a quick command for myself, but I'm unaware of any freeware to do this. After a google search, I'm not finding one, so I'm hoping someone can help. I'd rather not use a script to do this for various security/ease of use/familiarity reasons, I'd rather be able to just point to a simple program they can download and use on their windows desktops. Anyone know of one or some other easy solution to do this? Maybe I'm overlooking the obvious. If anyone's curious, this is what I do for myself (not for my clients): for %h in (*.html) do type "%h" >> all.htm then open all.htm & print. If I need a page break on each doc, I just search and replace in all.htm </body> with <p style="page-break-after:always">&nbsp;</p></body>. It's quick & simple, but too unfamiliar for them. Thanks!

    Mainly, I would like to prevent my laptop from entering Sleep mode when I am playing music or streaming video. This is on my laptop, so another option that would work would be to prevent sleep mode whenever the laptop is plugged into my tv via HDMI (ie when HDMI port is in use). Or prevent sleep mode whenever there is audio playing.. I am soon upgrading to Windows 7, so solutions using 7 would be great also/instead. Thanks!

    my problem is the that for a Hackintosh (unofficial PC running OS X) I needed to set AHCI, Power Mode S3 and HPET 64bit. Now, I want to install Ubuntu (when 12.04 comes out) and was wondering if these settings will be right to use for Ubuntu. I read that AHCI is how the hard disks are accessed, Power Mode S3 is how suspend works with the RAM but couldn't figure out if using HPET 64bit makes any difference than HPET 32bit. What I would like is an explanation of what these BIOS settings do and what is best for Ubuntu. Thank you very much

    SPFileVersionCollection and SPListItemVersionCollection versioning seems inconsistent to me. Inconsistency wouldn't be a problem to me, but sort order is. SPListItemVersionCollection I can understand versioning of ListItems as they are stored in descending order: SPContext.Current.ListItem.Versions.Count -> 5 SPContext.Current.ListItem.Versions[0].VersionId -> 1026 (2.2 latest version) SPContext.Current.ListItem.Versions[1].VersionId -> 1025 (2.1) SPContext.Current.ListItem.Versions[2].VersionId -> 1024 (2.0) ... [4].VersionId -> (oldest version) SPFileVersionCollection However I can't understand how version numbers are saved for a document library item: SPContext.Current.ListItem.File.Versions.Count -> 4 SPContext.Current.ListItem.File.Versions[0].ID -> 512 (1.0 oldest one) SPContext.Current.ListItem.File.Versions[1].ID -> 513 (1.1) SPContext.Current.ListItem.File.Versions[2].ID -> 1025 (2.1 latest version) SPContext.Current.ListItem.File.Versions[3].ID -> 1024 (2.0 (EDIT: IsCurrentVersion = True)) They are nor in ascending order, nor descending, but something mixed.     I'm working on a site, and its CMS used to save new page urls using the underscore character as a word seperator. Despite the fact that Google now treats underscore as a word seperator, the SEO powers that be are demanding the site use dashes instead. This is very easy to do within the CMS, and I can of course change all existing URLs saved in the MySQL database that serves the CMS. My problem lies in writing a .htaccess rule that will 301 old style underscore seperated links to the new style hyphenated verstion. I have interview for an internship with company that wants to implement document management system and they are considering on the first place open source solutions, their top choice being Alfresco, but decision is still not final, part of my work there would be to investigate is Alfresco the best solution. What I have seen from project description, is that they would implement Alfresco with MySQL database, and not to use DBMS just for document metadata and indexing, but they actually want to store documents inside. By company profile, type of documents would be mostly PDF and .doc, not images. I have researched a bit, and I have read all the topics here related to storing files into the database, not to duplicate a question. So from what I understand, storing BLOBS is generally not recomendable, and by the profile of the company and their legal obligations with archiving, I see they will have to store larger amount of docs. I would like to be ready as much as I can for the interview and that is why I would like your opinion on these questions: What will be your reasons for deciding to store documents into the DBMS, (especially having in mind that you are installing Alfresco, which stores files in the FS)??? Do you have any experiences with storing documents into the MySQL database specifically???     There is a web page with place holder (a normal div). Via ajax calls I am loading a <form> and a <script> into the place holder. The script contains necessary javascript to initialize the form (i.e. for e.g. disable the controls so as to make form read-only, etc). Here is a piece of code I have; it works, but the commented part doesn't work.     What I want to do is that: a webpage with continuously updating content. (In my case is updating every 2s) New content is appended to the old one instead of overwriting the old one. Interestingly in Chrome, the lines being printed out continuously, which is what I am looking for. I know that document.write() is called when the page is loaded according to this.     My checkbox column doesn't respond when ticked, apparently it was set to read only, so changing state back to false again will make it possible to tick. However, that will turn the whole edit mode to true. I tried to set edit mode to programatically while setting ReadOnly mode to false, but that will disable the checkbox back again. How can I disable edit mode on all cells except checkbox column?

  • Why is this Javascript that writes out a Google Ad not displaying properly on the iPhone?

    I have this Javacsript code that checks to see if there is a DIV named "google-ad", and if there is, it writes in a the necessary code to display the Google Ad. This works great in browsers like Firefox, Chrome, Safari on Mac, and Android. However, when I bundle this code with Adobe's Phonegap Build, and deploy it to iPhones, it behaves strangely. It launches a browser window displaying just the Google Ad alone.
