  • Cannot reinstall Windows on Toughbook CF-19, OEM or upgrade issue?

    My Toughbook (CF-19) has a 'Windows Vista Business OEMAct, Panasonic' COA on the bottom of the unit. When I extracted the key before reformatting - it was a 'Windows XP Professional' Product Name and the Product ID code has 'OEM' in it...and I can confirm this upgrade was last OS installed (w/ Service Pack 3) - but there was the tablet functionality. This extracted product key isn't working with any version of Windows I try installing. XP Pro, XP Pro Tablet 2005 OEM, Tablet XP OEM. Any insights?

    I'm getting this warning from Apache: The Alias directive in /etc/httpd/conf.d/foo.conf at line 10 will probably never match because it overlaps an earlier Alias. However the Alias overlaps on a completely different virtual host. Might this be caused because one alias is on a name-based virtual host while the other alias is on an IP-based virtual host? Everything is working fine, just the warning is a bit annoying...

    Hi All, I'm having a bit of trouble with regex's (C#, ASP.NET), and I'm pretty sure I'm doing something fundamentally wrong. My task is to bind a dynamically created gridview to a datasource, and then iterate through a column in the grid, looking for the string "A&I". An example of what the data in the cell (in template column) looks like is: Name: John Doe Phone: 555-123-1234 Email: [email protected] Dept: DHS-A&I-MRB Here's the code I'm using to find the string value: foreach(GridViewRow gvrow in gv.Rows) { Match m = Regex.Match(gvrow.Cells[6].Text,"A&I"); if(m.Success) { gvrow.ForeColor = System.Drawing.Color.Red; } } I'm not having any luck with any of these variations: "A&I" "[A][&][I]" But when I strictly user "&", the row does turn red.     I am having an issue setting up Remote Web in SBS 2011 Essentials. Everything works except Remote Desktop, which keeps giving me SSL cert errors. Is there a way to override the TS Gateway's decision to not allow cert errors? If not, the specific error I am getting is that Remote Desktop is trying to connect using the DNS short name of our domain controller, but the certificate uses the FQDN, and as such, it reports an error and the connection never happens. Any ideas?

Instead in the console in debugging mode, I get this error: attempt to pop an unknown autorelease pool (0x851e00) Any help would be great, thanks.

    We have an interesting hosting environment that dictates all secure traffic must travel over a specific sub domain. E.g. http://secure.domain.com/my-page I'd like to handle this switch using URL Rewrite, i.e. at server level, rather than application level. My cases are: https://secure.domain.com/page = NO CHANGE, remains the same https://domain.com/page = sub-domain inserted, https://secure.domain.com/page https://www.domain.com/page = remove 'www', insert sub-domain In my mind the logic is: INPUT = Full Url = http://www.domain.com/page If INPUT contains HTTPS Then check Full URL, does it contain 'secure'? If YES do nothing, if no add 'secure' If INPUT contains 'www' remove 'www' The certificate is not a wild card (e.g. top level domain) and is issues to: https://secure.domain.com/ The website could also be hosted in a staging environment. E.g. https://secure.environment.domain.com/ I do not have control over 'environment' or 'domain' or the 'tld'.   • Definition could not be found error compiling ClassReference in CSS file to Swf file

    Hi All I am compiling my css files to swf files and loading them at run time. I have no problem compiling these and using ClassReference statements most of the time: .miniCashLadderGridStyle { color : #2a2a2a; backgroundAlpha : 0; borderSkin : ClassReference("mx.skins.ProgrammaticSkin"); headerSortSeparatorSkin : ClassReference("mx.skins.ProgrammaticSkin"); horizontalSeparatorSkin : ClassReference("company.assets.GridHorzDivLine"); verticalSeparatorSkin : ClassReference("company.assets.GridVertDivLine"); } That works fine. The assets come from a seperate swc, However this: header-background-skin : ClassReference("company.view.grid.skin.HeaderBackground"); Does not work. The difference is that the HeaderBackground is a class in the same project as the css file. That does compiel fine if I move the style into my mxml file though. I wonder if the compiler uses different source paths when compiling the css fiels or something. This is in FlashBuilder 4 build 269271 SDK 13963

  • Remove a file on linux using the inode number

    If you create a file on UNIX/linux with special chars, like touch \"la*, you can't remove it with rm "la*. You have to use the inode number(you can if you add the \ before the name, I know, but you'd have to guess as a user that it was used in the file creation). I checked the manpage for rm, but there's no metion of the inode number. Doing rm inodenumber doesn't work either. What is the command for this?

  • Windows XP long login (15 minutes +)

    I'm having a lot of issues with our Windows XP SP3 machines (about 5, but every week another gets on the bandwagon of this issue). They take forever (15 minutes) to apply the user settings once our employee's enter their username and password to login to our domain. It only happens say if a user has reboot the machine and then when they go to log back in then it hangs forever. Reboot and restart are the key words for sure I've noticed with this issue. Here are things I have tested: •Made sure the DNS was set to point to our two servers (Server01 & Server02 are DNS Domain Controllers, 01 is primary and 02 backup). •No major changes have been applied to our network. •All profiles are local, so I have deleted out local profiles that aren't being used on those machines that run slow. •Also I have tried to enable and disable the Enable Fast Login under the local machines GP. It was not configured originally and when I tested both, it made the computer hang on "applying computer settings" for about 15 minutes. When it finally came up to the login screen the it was very quick to login to the domain. However this doesn't fix my issue, and even more frustrating upon setting it back to being not configured it now still takes for forever to apply computer settings. •I enabled the userenv log and here is what I see, but my experience is limited and I'm not sure how to read it exactly. It is the only server I have, so it is acting as both ns1, ns1, and the server they domain name should point to itself. I'm trying to make a simple filter search where-by you can choose from a series of 3 drop downs and then based upon this the results are then displayed, How would I go about adjusting the sql query for each and if you were to only choose to search from aone of the 3 rather than all 3 etc... example there could be the url with input such as: url.com?location=gb&color=3&hair=4 and still form the correct sql query for something like this: url.com?location=gb&hair=1 and not encounter problems with WHERE and AND etc etc and empty variables in the statement Would this not need to be a massive function to check using if to see how the data is set for all possibilities?     In Interface Builder, I have set the dataCell of one of the columns of my NSTableView instance to be NSButtonCell. This works as expected, however, trying to use a ‘template’ image doesn't yield the expected visual result when clicking the button. How I configure the NSButtonCell: Image: NSRevealFreestandingTemplate Scaling: None Bezel: Bevel Type: Momentary Push In Bordered: false Expected result when clicking the button: Since the image is a ‘template’, the button should render its ‘on’ state. The background, ie the space surrounding the image, should not change. Actual result when clicking the button: No difference in the ‘state’ of the rendered image. The background color changes to white. Even-though I’ve tried my best to make the explanation of the problem as concise as possible, I’ve also made a simple screencast to visually illustrate the problem. And uploaded the demo app.
