  • Debugging embedded Lua

    How do you debug lua code embedded in a c++ application? From what I gather, either I need to buy a special IDE and link in their special lua runtime (ugh). Or I need to build a debug console in to the game engine, using the lua debug API calls. I am leaning toward writing my own debug console, but it seems like a lot of work. Time that I could better spend polishing the other portions of the game.

  • How do I stop jetty server in clojure?

    I am writing a web application using ring and clojure. I am using the jetty adapter for the development server and emacs/SLIME for IDE. While wrap-reload does help, run-jetty blocks my slime session and I would like to be able to start/stop it at will without having to run it in a separate terminal session. Ideally, I would like to define a server agent and functions start-server and stop-server that would start/stop the server inside the agent. Is this possible?

  • Unable to deploy WAR file to Websphere using IBM Rational Application Developer

    Hello - I am using the IBM RAD IDE and building a dynamic web project. When I build the project and attempt to add it to the server by selecting 'add or remove projects' I get the response that there are no projects to add or remove. Does this mean I will have to create a EAR file (J2EE Project) and add my web project to it in order to deploy to the local WAS? Might I be missing some essential configuration?

Now I would actually like to add you know some controls to these tabs like textboxes(text edit). How do I do this? I go to my mail.xml using eclipse as my ide and go to layout view and I now get a NullPointerException so I can't even drag stuff onto the layout anymore. Thanks

Unit Testing or no Unit Testing Be sure to include any AOP frameworks if used. Tell me if it is easier for you to use debugging or to using logging during development, and why you feel it is easier. I'm just trying to get a feel for why people choose debugging or logging based on their development stack.

    I right script in Ruby that include java classes require 'java' include_class 'java.math.BigDecimal' include_class 'java.math.RoundingMode' during the script I need to divide 2 java.bigDecimal one = BigDecimal.new("1") number1 = BigDecimal.new("3") number1 = one.divide(number1,RoundingMode.new(HALF_EVEN)) since I don't have intellisense in this IDE I'm not sure the syntax is right and the runtime error is: uninitialized constant::HALF_EVEN do I combine java object in the ruby scrpit in the right way? how should I divide two java.bigDecimal object in ruby env?

    Hi I've had Jetty recommended as a good container for fast and simple development, in my case, Java Server Faces. I wish to use it with my Eclipse IDE (Version: 3.4.1), but quite frankly, can't figure out how. I've tried various outdated plugins, only with large amounts of errors in return, so I'm hoping someone could guide me from downloading the right version to installing it, and being able to press "RUN", and see a simple Hello World in JSP/JSF work.     The definitive reference for using Scala on android seems to be here: http://www.scala-lang.org/node/160 Unfortunately, all the references on using scala with android are based around Scala 2.7 and refer to a custom build android-library.jar, with a couple of cryptic references suggesting that this custom build isn't needed for later versions of android (I'm using 2.1 / API v7) So... What are the steps needed to use Scala 2.8 in an android project? Preferably using eclipse and the Android tools that Google supplies for that IDE.

    Hello I am a beginning android developer using windows and the eclipse IDE to develop java android applications.I have published one game but there is a free version of the game and a paid version. The google market insists that the different versions must have different package names. So far i have been refactoring the package with 2 different names and changing the R resource file import each time i build the different versions. The code is 99% the same for both versions.Is there a better way?
