• dll runtime error(C/C++/GCC/MSVC)

  After two days fighting, I make the dll(compiled in GCC/G++) link correctly in MSVC, but while debuging, I got the runtime error, is say that: Runtime Error! Program: my_exe.exe This application has required the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. I have test something in that way: compiled a dll in mingw/gcc, link and debug in MSVC, it works correctly ,but while I implement it in my large project, I got the runtime error. And I tested the dll in mingw/GCC, it works correctly, it says that the runtime error does not come from programming error,it comes from the dll imcompatible between different platform. Does anyone can hele me? Thanks, forgive my poor English.

• haar transformation on an image

  hello, i need some help with haar transformation, i have to apply it on an image. My math is bad, my english not all that awesome and i find it hard to understand from articles on the internet. I found this page http://www.cs.ucf.edu/~mali/haar/haar.cpp where the haar transformation is applied on 2d matrix. • Unity has jerky motion when using Vector2.Lerp

  I made a 2D game with some sprite move to random position. I used Vector2.Lerp and Time.deltaTime to smooth transfer of sprite. When I build this game in iOS ( I used iPhone 4s and iPhone 5 for test ) all sprite made jerky motion and cause my game lagging. But in Android game run very smoothy. I used only 9 sprite and move all in same time. Can someone have any solution to fix this? Thanks. P/s: Sorry about my bad English.

• How to extract messages to translate from a Play! application

  I'm writing my first application using the Play! framework and I was wondering if there was a tool that could extract the messages that need translation from my views and controllers for me ? It is rather cumbersome to fill the conf/messages(.xx) file while I'm developing my app, but I'm afraid that if I don't do it as I go, I will never be able to completely translate my application afterwards. Such tools exist with other framework such as CakePHP for instance, and I think that it shouldn't be hard to write one by myself, but if there already is one... I was also wondering, what should I name the keys of the messages in my application ? Using gettext, it's not bad practice to directly type in the message in english as the key, but is it with the system that Play! uses (MessageFormat, right ?) ? Does anyone have an advice or naming convention (something like controller.action.describe_the_message maybe) ? Thank you for your advices !

  Hello, I'm not a java developer. But I'm currently taking a look at Android applications development so I'm doing a bit of nostalgy, doing some java again after not touching it for three years. I'm looking forward using the "google-api-translate-java" library. In which there is a Language class. It's an enum allowing to provide the language name and to get it's value for Google Translate. I can easily get all the values with : for (Language l : values()) { // Here I loop on one value } But what I'd want to get is a list of all the keys names (FRENCH, ENGLISH, ...). Is there something like a "keys()" method that'd allow me to loop through all the enum's keys ?

  Hi! Is it possible to get two "editions" of a website both indexed by the major search engines (Google/Yahoo/Bing/Teoma) which differ in content language only and are hosted under different TLDs? Say English content is available at "http://domain.com/", German content at "http://domain.de/". Now, if e.g. Google.com is used I want it to list the "domain.com" entry and vice versa. Is "Duplicate Content" an issue here? Thanks so much for advising me!

  Hi, I am trying to put operations inside the locales to adapt to different languages. For example, in English a billion is 1,000,000,000, however in Spanish a billion is 1,000,000,000,000 so I would like to be able to have the following: en: billion: "You have %{money} billions" es: billion: "Tienes %{money/1000.0} billones" In order to be able to write: I18n.t :billion, :money => whatever And be right for whatever language. However, it seems that I cannot put operations inside the locales' strings. Any hint on how should I be doing this? Maybe my approach is just wrong "philosophically" talking? Thanks all!

  Hello, I'm trying to use YQL's spelling and search suggestions, but as much as I try I cant find a way to change the language/region for the query, how is this done? • How to transfer visitors to the servers closes to them and where to place the servers?

  I am focusing on providing fast page refreshes for my visitors and I wonder where is the smartest spot to place my servers on? I understand that the best would be to place a server in every country or even city, but that is of course not doable with my economy. I am thinking of maybe setting up three servers, one in the middle of USA (Kansas?), one in Italy and one in Sweden. What do you think about that? I don't care about Africa since they haven't even got computers so I won't get traffic from there anyway. China, North Korea etc are probably just visiting chinese websites, they barely know english anway... The next problem is how do I redirect a visitor from Finland to the Swedish server? I don't want the visitor from Finland to be using the USA server or vice versa.

• How should I build a gaming community

  I've been wanting to build my own gaming community site (like http://fragbite.com) for a long time, I have started many times but just quitted after a couple days because it gets very messy I've been palying around with php and mysql off and on for 3 years but i've never gotten in to oop. i have tried but i usually end up with the "old php". I usually build my pages like so that i include a file on top of all pages with neccasary functions, html head etc. And I mix php and html together which I dont mind but if I eventually would get a designer he would not like it i think. I have tried both phpcake and codeigniter and all those popular mvc's but its just to much, like they do all the work. i want to do it myself. but i dont know where to start. What would you do if you were me? Is there maybe some non-oop mvc? (Sorry for my english)

• Japanese character stored in SQL Server DB using ASP page that assumed it as ISO-8859-1 encoding

  We have a legacy ASP based product that allowed the UI and Data languages of user groups to be configured according to their locations. CodePage and CharSet in ASP pages collecting data was set accordingly. I've noticed few instances in the SQL Server DB where users posted Japanese characters in the ASP page that assumes the oncoming stream to be of ISO-8859-1/Western and as a result, the data in the SQL table has gobbled up. While upgrading the client to our new product, I want to back-convert those "garbage" Japanese (in some instances Chinese) characters back to their actual form. Can I create some utility ASP page that would go through such data values and "fix" the wrongly-encoded strings and store everything back as utf-8 strings? In any case, I don't want to affect my French/Spanish/English characters that might be there as well.

  The act of checking in files in a source control repository like git, mercurial or svn, is called a commit. Does anyone know the reason behind calling it a commit instead of just check in? English is not my mother tongue, so it might be some linguistic I don't quite get her, but what I'm I actually commiting to? (Hopefully I'm not commiting a crime, but you'll never know.) Is it in the meaning of "to consign for preservation"? Is it related to transactions (commit at the end of a transaction)?

But the problem is that after doing this if i hover on div with class="nav" the div fades out and in again, and if i mover cursor slightly within .nav div, it repeats this behavior repeatedly. I don't want to this behaviour when we hover on .nav div or mover cursor within this div. Thank, and sorry for my bad english.

I have an executable (PE) file that load a dll file as represented in the Import table... let say: PEFile.exe Modules.dll my question is how can i remove Modules.dll's import_descriptor from the imports and do its work by loadLibrary without the rely on the import table and without destroy the file???... My bigger problem his i could not understand exactly how the Import thing works... after the loader read the information he needs to do the import's thing, i believe he use the LoadLibrary, GetProcAddress APIs... but i couldn't understated what he doing with the pointers he get... he putting them somewhere in memory... and then what just call them?!? all the papers i found in the net explain the structure of the import table, but i didn't found a paper that explain how it is really work and get used... i hope you cold understand my Gibberish English...   I have created the DateTimePicker control. Now i want to add localization Support with this. I have followed the below steps. Created CustomControls.de-DE.resx inside the ResourceFolder. added some commonly used strings in that resx file changed the access modifier to Public added <SupportedCulture>de-DE;</SupportedCulture> in the csproj file. set System.Threading.Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture = new System.Globalization.CultureInfo("de-DE"); in sample.cs file before IntializeComponent(). my DateTimevalue was " 2 Day(s): 3 Hr (s): 5 Min(s) : 32 Sec (s) Getting only default language that is english. What i did wrong? Please help me anyone. Is anything i missed?

• Program visible to Linux as normal directory

I try to create program to cache most used files in memory (less I/O to HDD), but right now I don't know how to achive that. There are probably some docs about this but I can't find them. • django - change content inside a iframe

  Hello guys, I have a site running in django, and want to make available this content on third party site. In these sites they make my content in a tag. When my site is required from within that iframe I would like to modify the content (remove header, filter data, etc.). What better way to do this? Is there any way of knowing that the request is being made from an iframe? Multiples sites will request the same url, can i change the content, based on the source site? thanks! ps.: sorry for my bad english :/

• drupal + i18n - how to send the currently selected locale to javascript?

  I've got a multi-lingual Drupal 6 installation. The multi-language is provided by the i18n module. I'm displaying some date pickers using jquery ui's datepicker. I'd like to localize those datepickers too (so when the page being shown is English, they show 'mon tue wed ...' but when the page is in Spanish they show 'lun mar mi ...'). My problem is: I don't know how to send the currently selected locale to javascript. The closest thing I could find was the javascript Drupal.locale object. However that object doesn't seem to have a 'locale name'.
