Web server is under our control, anonymous upload scripts/page are already setup that would accept a file manually. How to program in VC++ 6 to upload? which classes to use? I understand it is much possible with smtp and ftp but how through http?

  • Adobe Air: Read and Write MP3 or JPG from local directory and switch bytes

    I would like to make my local jpg and mp3 files kind of unreadable (without encoding) by just putting the first 100 bytes from the beginning of the file to the end and then saving the file with a .dat extension. I know I have to use the byte array but can't get it work. I would also need then a small function to read that file and put the 100bytes back to the front so that I can play/display the file. It would be great if you could post the whole function because I am quite new to Air so that I fully understand. Thank You!!!!

I'm trying to read this file but it throws me an exception telling that it's not serializable. Here is the code : InputStream input = KeyLoader.class.getClassLoader().getResourceAsStream(resource); ObjectInputStream objectInputStream = new ObjectInputStream(input); Object obj = objectInputStream.readObject(); Key output = (Key) obj; objectInputStream.close(); return output; which throws me this exception An exception occurred: java.io.NotSerializableException

    Hi there! I've got an XML file that is parsed and written in my application. From within my IDE (Eclipse) I simply address it like this: Reading: private String xmlFile = "file.xml"; and then I build the document: doc = sax.build(xmlFile); Writing is done like this: writer = new FileWriter("file.xml"); Runs great so far, but after bundling my application, the file is no longer accessible. What exactly do I have to do to make it accessible from within an application bundle? I'm absolutely not familiar with the classpath or whatever I need for that, so please go easy on me!     Allot of my use of hibernate, at least for that data that is presented on many parts of the web application, is for read-only purposes. I want to add some parameters to my Dao methods so I can modify the way hibernate pulls the data and how it handles transactions etc. Example usage: Data on the front page of my website is displayed to the users, it is read-only, so I want to avoid any session/entity tracking that hibernate usually does. This is data that is read-only, will not be changed in this transaction, etc. What would be the most performant way to pull the data? The text file is correctly located in the same folder with the dll, exe, and config file after the project is installed (C:\Program Files\KLTesting\KLTestApp). However when the program tries to read it, it looks under "C:\Windows\system32", what's the correct way to find & read it?     Hello, I've intercepted(interposed) dlopen function under MacOS X and some other functions. I see how my applications calls dlopen in the log, but don't find anything related to open/read functions after dynamic library was dlopened. How does the system accesses and reads the dynamic library file? I've looked at the source code of dyld, and it does call open/read on dlopen. Can anybody let me know what I'm missing? intercepted functions: dlopen, open, read, write, access, all stat functions, close, etc. thanks, any help is highly appreciated.

    I need to create poster frames from videos hosted on Amazon S3 via ffmpeg. So is there a way to use the remote video file directly in ffmpeg command line like this: ffmpeg -i "http://bucket.s3.amazonaws.com/video.mp4" -ss 00:00:10 -vframes 1 -f image2 "image%03d.jpg" ffmpeg just returns: http://bucket.s3.amazonaws.com/video.mp4: I/O error occurred Usually that means that input file is truncated and/or corrupted. I also tried forcing ffmpeg to use the videos mp4 container for reading: ffmpeg -f mp4 -i "http://bucket.s3.amazonaws.com/video.mp4" ... But no luck. Wget this video from S3 and processing it locally works fine of course, as well as reading the file remotely from other 'standard' http servers. So I know that ffmpeg supports remote file reading, but why not on S3?
