    Hi, I'm calling servlets which has implemented CometProcessor interface, and whenever I try to call the servlets with get request, I'm getting the above error.   • Vim syntax highlighting not working

    I've followed all instructions given on this site with an empty .vim folder, but for some reason, python highlighting is not working on my system.     Hi, Is there a way to animate a browser window using jquery. Right now I'm essentially using this: $(window).animate({ left: '+=50' }, 5000}); The reason why it isn't working is probably obvious, although not for me. I eventually need to loop an animate effect so that the browser will move back and forth dynamically. Thanks.

    I have app that is running Ruby 1.9.2, Rails 3, and postgreSQL 8.3. It was originally setup and working with postgreSQL 9.1, but I uninstalled 9.1 and installed and changed to 8.3 insure compatibility on a Heroku shared database setup.     Hi All I have to send mails to all users in the site when a new user joins. My problem is the script stops execution after sending around 400 mails. I have set the set_time_limit to 0. And also I am giving sleep(2) after sending 10 mails. What may be the reason behind this issue.Any solution for this problem . Is there any better method to send bulk emails? Thanks in Advance Rose

  • How to deal with Warning C4100 in Visual Studio 2008

    For some reason my Visual Studio 2008 began to show warnings for code like: "int main( int argc, char **argv)", which is really annoying. The detailed warning ouputs are (you can ignore the line numbers): 1.\main.cpp(86) : warning C4100: 'argv' : unreferenced formal parameter 1.\main.cpp(86) : warning C4100: 'argc' : unreferenced formal parameter I wonder if there are settings in Visual Studio 2008 that have been accidentally changed. Or how should I deal with this warning? Thank you all.

    I've got a number of managed code Windows Services for which we use the Frameworks InstallUtil tool to install into the service control manager. This tool creates a new file at install time with an extension of .InstallState. I have experimented with deleting this file and an uninstall still works fine afterwards. So my questions is, what is this file for and is there any reason I shouldn't delete it?

  • why does vb not support multiple inheritance?

    I've seen some discussion on why c# does not implement multiple inheritance but very little as to why it isn't supported in vb. I understand that both c# and vb are compiled down to intermediary language and so they both need to share similar restrictions. The lack of multiple inheritance in VB seems to have been given as one reason for the lack of the feature in dot net. Does anyone know why VB doesn't support multiple inheritance? I'm hoping for a bit of history lesson and discussion on why this was never considered for VB.

  • Is there a POSIX syscall to resolve file system paths?

    Is there a POSIX syscall to resolve filesystem paths? I have the CWD for a path, as well as the path to a file from that CWD. I can't use chdir to switch to the directory because I need to resolve paths from multiple threads simultaneously. I considered appending a / in between the CWD and the path, but for some reason it feels like that's hacky. Is that the proper way to resolve relative paths?

    I have a little piece of python code in the server script for my website which looks a little bit like this: console.append([str(x) for x in data]) console.append(str(max(data))) quite simple, you might think, however the result it's outputting is this: ['3', '12', '3'] 3 for some reason python thinks 3 is the max of [3,12,3]! So am I doing something wrong? Or this is misbehaviour on the part of python?

    My directory structure looks like the following: -xmllib -libxml++-1.0.a -main.cc ..and I issue the command: cc -lstdc++ -L./xmllib -llibxml++-1.0.a main.cc But then it tells me that it can't find the binary for the library...even though I issued the command from the root directory. /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -llibxml++-1.0.a main.cc collect2: ld returned 1 exit status Is there any reason why cc can't find the binary library? I'm using cc version 2.96 (yes, it's old).

  • 'abstract class' versus 'normal class' for a reusable library

    I'm developing a reusable library and have been creating abstract classes, so the client can then extend from these. QUESTION: Is there any reason in fact I should use an abstract class here as opposed to just a normal class? Note - Have already decided I do not want to use interfaces as I want to include actual default methods in my library so the client using it doesn't have to write the code.
